Good Plitvice small 8 person tour
We did a day-trip small tour with max of 8 people. I'm glad we did vs a large group tour as we had more time at each stop point to take pictures and enjoy the sights. The park is quite big so it still requires some moderate exercise to complete it. Our host and driver Sasa was great and kept everything moving while still allowing us time to take in the sights. We also enjoyed his candid commentary through out.

Best Historical Tour I’ve Experienced
Elena was one of the most knowledgeable, balanced, and engaging guides that I’ve ever had. She spends a few minutes gauging your baseline knowledge of the region and the conflict, then immediately tailors the tour to what you know walking in. If you are unfamiliar with it, she does an incredible job distilling an incredibly complex situation into something understandable. If you know about the basics, she will happily go deeper in a way that is so personal and authentic because of her and her family history.
She’s a true historian and storyteller and you will walk away knowing so much more about the region and the people after talking with her. Really amazing and unforgettable experience that I don’t think you can replicate without talking to someone who really understands this part of the world.

Inolvidable
There are not sufficient superlatives to describe our experience. Rosa was our driver/guide and we could not have have for a better guide, the lakes were incredible, the whole day (and it was a long day) was perfectly planned so that every step was unforgettable. This was all due to the attention that Rosa put into every activity. This is a must do activity if you are ever in Zagreb. Muchisimos gracias Rosa

An excellent walking tour
Our guide Rob was excellent. Engaging, good knowledge and good sense of humour. This is an interesting tour with good variety between history, stories of interest and some cultural observations. The tunnels, cannon shot and funicular ride were all unexpected bonuses.,

Thomas was a wonderful...
Thomas was a wonderful tour guide- he explained the history of Croatia and the surrounding countries- got a history lesson and it was so interesting! This tour was the highlight of my stay in Zagreb! The trip to Słowian was beautiful and breathtaking. Definitely taking a day out of your vacation for this tour is well worth it! really really really liked it

Amazing lakes
The lakes and waterfalls were incredible. The boardwalks were very well made and create a beautiful walk through the area. We visited in the middle of June and it wasn’t too busy. Our guide had fantastic knowledge of the area and Croatia in general, and was very friendly and helpful.
Rastoke is very small and I probably wouldn’t put it on my list to visit, but it broke up the bus journey back, so it was fine.

We had a fantastic time...
We had a fantastic time with Dom and learnt so much about Zagreb, Lake Bled and Ljubljana. It wasn't the best of days with the weather (a bit cold, rainy and cloudy), but we made the most of it with Dom suggesting we went to Lake Bled first, then finishing the day with Ljubljana. This worked in our favour, where we eventually enjoyed Ljubljana in the sunshine.
Highly recommend this tour, plenty of time on your own to explore and enough information to learn something about the amazing places you visit.

Eating around Zagreb
It was one of the best if not the best food walking tours we have done and this was due to the fact that we spent quality time eating quality local food at the restaurants we visited.
Lukas was an amazing guide, informative, knowledgeable and caring of his guest’s wellbeing. We were never rushed from place to place, the whole experience was relaxing and enjoyable.

An amazing Plitvice Lakes National Park Tour
It was a wonderful tour and the guide, Marko made it much easier for me. I had some knee problem and walked slower than others. He was always making sure I was ok during the walk and very patient with me. He is also very humorous and made the tour and the car ride more enjoyable! I really enjoyed this tour.

A walk around Zagreb
Our guide Petra was brilliant. She gave us an insight to Zagreb and Croatia which was interesting and showed us many sights that had been on our to do list. We were grateful that our group wasn't a large one as it meant we could ask many questions and could hear her over all other noises (as there was a demonstration that day in the square). She showed us the planet Venus which we would never have found (which wasn't on the itinerary) and really made the tour for us. I'd have no qualms in recommending a tour with Petra. She does more than just Zagreb as well so hopefully we can return and do those with her as well.

Best tour!!!
Dalia was an amazing tour guide, made our day very special. She has the knowledge to explain history acts about the country and the places we visited. The little village we visited is a dream, so beautiful and the lakes itself are not difficult, as there is an included bus ride and later a boat ride of 30 min each. Apart from that, it's walking but very moderate. Also there are plenty of WC stops, place to eat, thought it's good to bring you food. All I can say is, definitely do it, Dalia never rushed us, she did an amazing job!!! Thank you very much Dalia!!!!

I did not quite know what...
I did not quite know what to expect with this tour as some reviews mentioned that they were picked up by a big bus and the tour group was huge. I guess it depends on the time of year? We ended up being 11 + our tour guide, Danielle. I was very happy with the size of our group and Danielle expertly led us through the various pathways through the lakes past some absolutely beautiful spots. Lots of great photos that of course don't do justice to seeing the beauty of this national park with your own eyes.
Weather also cooperated that way staying overcast for most of the day so while it was warm it wasn't uncomfortable. Lunch was quite late as we wrapped up walking the lakes at 3pm, but the restaurant was nearby and I got to enjoy some local trout that was quite tasty.
This tour was definitely a great way to go from Zagreb to Split without just taking a regular boring bus. The day was long but absolutely worth it!

Not seeing something you are looking for?
The central region of Croatia is an underrated part of the world where adventure and beauty await. A day trip from Zagreb allows you to explore more of the country many people don't see. From medieval towns like Samobor to the romantic Varazdin, there is no shortage of quaint baroque destinations to explore. For nature enthusiasts, Plitvice Lakes National Park boasts cascading waterfalls and stunning landscapes. And for those looking for a new country to cross off their travel bucket list, a dip into neighboring Slovenia's capital, Ljubljana, is just a short ride away.
