- If you can, bring sportswear and comfortable closed/hiking shoes... lots of walking!
- Your guide will be available to assist you throughout the entire trip and guide you through the park.
- Approx. 8.5km (5.3mil) walk is the length of the walking tour in the park (highseason). You will see all the highlights, and don’t worry there are no big inclines so it’s an enjoyable walk.
- Some of the park may be restricted and is weather dependent.
- This tour will still operate in all weather conditions.
- Please note that from November 1st through March 31st, only Lower Lakes can be visited, and depending on weather conditions, the train and electric boats do not operate.

Todsy hrvoje was a great and caring guide. Driving skill was great too!
The two places were so beautiful. Didn't expect to see so much snow though it is spring now. Guide mentioned the park was closed few days ago due to heavy snow. We were blessed with good weather (no rain)

We really enjoyed this tour. The lakes and waterfalls were just beautiful and the guide was really friendly and knowledgeable. There was a lot of walking, but my husband is 71 and I am 61 and we managed it without any trouble. It was easy to find the minibus at the meeting place - there were five other people joining us for the tour. It was a long day with about 4-4.5 hours in the minibus, but well worth it. Thanks!

Sasha was an awesome guide! We had an amazing time at the park. The lower canyons weren’t open for hiking due to it being winter but Sasha made sure we had the best hike in the upper canyons. He is extremely knowledgeable and also funny. Highly recommend

Tour guide was very informative and entertaining, knowledgeable about both the Plitvice Lakes and croatian culture, cuisine, etc. with some great recommendations regardless of the planned activity. Entire trip was very comfortable and fun and the lakes themselves can't get enough praise. Gorgeous waterfalls and lakes, especially idyllic in the wintertime while parts are still frozen.

A great trip out to the lakes from Zagreb. Communication was clear and everything ran on time. Marin, our guide, was friendly and knowledgable. We were so lucky to visit after lots of snow but on a day when the sun shone and the skies were blue.

This has been one of the best tours we’ve done! The area was beautiful and our guide marco was incredible! His knowledge and love of the area really comes through in the tour and we would 100% do it again and again with marco as our guide!
We visited in a major snow storm and worried we wouldn’t be able to get there but he made us feel so safe driving through the snow and then guided us around every inch of the park we were allowed to in the conditions
We plan to come back in better weather to see the rest

We had an amazing time on the way to the lakes at the scenic and historic Rastoke village which had cascading waterfalls which were particularly magical with snow falling during January. The lakes themselves were stunning and we thoroughly enjoyed walking around the snowy national park to see the lower lakes and their waterfalls. Another highlight was crossing one of the large lakes by boat which gave us beautiful panoramic views. Our guide Sasha was informative and friendly, making sure that we got the best photo opportunities and taking us along an enjoyable route. This place is amazing in winter and less busy so don’t be deterred by the cold weather!

Great trip
Guide had a good sense of humor, knew the area very well, took us on a good trail through the national park, slowed down as necessary. Took some wonderful pictures as well :)
The van felt a little cramped, but good group made up for the lack of space.
Highly recommend.

Our guide was very punctual and knowledgeable. Was able to finish our walk at Plitvice Lakes at a leisurely pace. The upper lakes were surprisingly opened on the day of our visit, so we got to see everything. Awesome trip!

Be sure and dress appropriately for the weather, and be prepared to see some spectacular scenery. The walk/hike is designed well to maximize the dramatic views. The final short walk after the train ride is the perfect end to the day.

Marko was an excellent tour guide!! The drive was smooth and pretty. We had tons of time to wander around at Plitvice. I was thankful for the guaranteed departure because my other tour got canceled. Marko let me go ahead since it wasn't crowded, so I was able to fully immerse myself in nature without anyone right next to me. Overall highly recommend the experience!!

Plitvice Lakes National Park is the most magical place on earth. I feel so grateful to see it. One can be healed spiritually walking on top of waterfalls. Sasha, our passionate guide, was a civil engineer. He decided to change his career to be a guide and he absolutely adores the national park. There was so much pride in his storytelling I am convinced that he loves what he does. 6 of us had an amazing time, thank you, Sasha!

I was hesitant to book this tour based on several factors: other reviews on all tours to the park describing how overcrowded it can be, the poor weather forecast, and the idea of spending as much time in the van as at the destination.
I am SO glad I followed my gut and booked it anyway!
I was a solo addition to a group with five other travellers. Our guide was Sasa. He was very easy-going and yet obviously passionate about the cultural and historical information he shared. This is a part-time gig for him but you can tell it's a fulfilled part of his identity and he is perfect for the role!
In response to my initial concerns:
Sasa steered us away or through crowded areas and even playfully competed with a larger group from the same company to keep us in front! Being the second-to-last day of October, the crowds were mild and very reasonable.
The weather held off but even if it had been pouring it would have been worth it to be in that environment. The lack of leaves on the trees were made up by the sound of the water flowing throughout the park.
Although I suffer from motion sickness, I rode in the back row of the van and had no problems. The time flew by with casual conversation and music in the background.
And now for the the best (worst) part -- I left my headphones in the van. The headphones I had bought the day before. And the headphones I needed to fly over 12 hours back home with on the following morning at 6 am. Despite it being after hours, I reached out to the company and they not only promptly found them but offered to bring them to me the following day. When I shared the urgency of my situation, they met me in town and handed them to me. EXCEPTIONAL and entirely unexpected service! Thank you eternally!

It is a lot of walking - not so much stopping and relax but keep on walking to make sure to catch the absolute all of what the park can offer, which is beautiful. Our tour guide Sasha had great deep knowledge and experience of Plitvice, Rastoke and Zagreb and gave us great tips. He was a great tour guide and was kind, thoughtful and interesting to chat with. Definitely recommend this trip - make sure to wear good footwear for walking long hours and carry water! Also we were very lucky with the weather! Thank you Sasha.

Perfect day trip from Zagreb, easy pick up at meeting point, Meterorlogical Post for the small van tour. Very nice,clean, roomy & comfortable new van. Marko, our guide, safe driver, super knowledgeable, great sense of humor once you get to know him, patient, efficient & a little bit of a rebel!!
He saved us so much time by going the opposite of all the other tour groups and we were able to enjoy the Park more without the crowds & long ques. This UNESCO site, in a Croatian National Park, is not able to be properly described with human language. The beauty is ethereal, absolutely sublime. Wear layers, be ready for weather to change at any moment, wear comfortable hiking shoes or boots. The only food option in the Park is not appetizing and super over priced so it is best to pack a lunch. Make sure to visit before the upper lakes are closed for the season.
