This tour was hosted by two guides who were excellent. We took a bus ride from Zagreb just over two hours including bathroom stop. Once at the park we had approx 4 hours including lunch break where we walked approx 6km with frequent stops a photo points and short lectures from our two guides. The views are very pleasant and the tour included a short boat ride and bus train ride to different areas of the park. The only downside is the group was huge ( over 50 people ) this can make the progress slow as many want to take photos and block pathways. Overall a great long day just would prefer smaller groups

The trip was well organized. Special mention to Samantha of Gray Line coach and our driver for their caring attitude. A couple missed the coach by 5 mins as they got lost at the starting point but Samantha and the Driver were kind enough to turn back the bus to pick them up. Having noticed an elderly lady with a walking stick, Samantha adjusted our walking pace for the long trek but kudos to the lady who actually walked at a brisk pace than most young people. The views are mesmerizing. I could have given a 5 star but the lower 4 star rating is due to impolite, impatient, rude staff at their co-partner Vila Velabita restaurant. Having read previous review we were prepared that lunch break will be at around 3:30pm with break time of 90mins as minimum 30 min wait time after ordering meals for each batch of 50 to 60 people per coach. Even though we had ordered lunch and drinks for around 60 euros for our small family, the staff refused to provide tap water to fill one water bottle on our way out insisting on buying mineral water. The irony was Plitvice park is blessed with crystal clear water all around and Samantha had earlier spoken with pride about how safe Croatia's tap water were but the restaurant staff attitude and behaviour was questionable....... There are ample restaurants at the park but Grayline took us to this place which is half hour away from park

The guide Samantha was very nice and knowledgeable. Time at the park however was very limited due to the fact that we had to coordinate with another bus and go to a restaurant on the way back which I did not appreciate. The park is expensive so only getting 2 -3 hours there to walk is not enough and then having to spend money on a dinner I did not really want was a waste of time and money. The park however is beautiful and I would go back there.

Series of cascading lakes and waterfalls. Just go. Spring or autumn is best to avoid the hordes. Also there is less water in summer meaning waterfalls could be less awesome.

Our trip was canceled. We received a call while still in chicago, 2 days before out trip that trip was canceled due to not enough customers (low season, November 11). Tried to get a refund but it keeps connecting me to local operator in Zagreb. Hoping to get a response back from Viator.

Park is absolutely amazing. I rated it a 4 because even though it is off season, there were so many people present and the tour was too quickly paced to truly appreciate the scenery. Our guide appeared to just want to get the tour completed. My recommendation would be to do smaller groups and begin at 7 instead of 8 this way you are not in such a hurried pace.

Waterfalls. Unfortunately last part of trip it was poring rain so didn’t get photos of much . Had to get out of rain. Would rather go with smaller group. Would have more time to look at falls and take photos.

Plitvice Lakes - so much to see but little time

Beautful scenery - very calm in summer though- no cacading waterfalls. Great tour leader & coach was very comfortable. Also we loved the restaurant stop - raki tried there & food was lovely. Tour 4/5 as I felt route marched. Timed for everything. Not good when temperature is hot. I had to miss the last part of the tour as optional and our timer gave us 45 minutes and spoke of it being very steep! To see highest waterfall. Couldnt face marching up hill, timed in 33 degree heat. Also boat ride was sardined in & lasted 5 minutes. The park coach ride was hot, sickly & overcrowded at stop 2. We just wanted to jump in some water (any water) but any contact with the water was forbidden so as not to contaminate it. Some grey fish were swimming around.
