Most Puglia itineraries focus on the trulli, Lecce, or the Salento coast, leaving the Gargano peninsula's dramatic limestone coastline to a smaller pool of travelers. From Vieste, follow the cliffs east to Baia delle Zagare and its Faraglioni sea stacks, passing the Pizzomunno monolith, the Arco di San Felice natural arch, and a string of bays only reachable by sea.

The Trabucchi of the Gargano—ancient wooden fishing machines—are an important part of Puglia’s cultural heritage, but it is tough to understand how these contraptions operate without a guide to offer explanations. On this express 50-minute tour, enjoy a private demonstration and the unique chance to assist in fishing using centuries-old traditional methods. Then, indulge in a tasting of local products.
