Incredible Evening

What an incredible evening. Learning to cook new dishes, and then sharing them with kindred souls from around the world, is my favorite thing to do when traveling. Putu class was no exception! She greeted us like an old friend and taught us the art of grinding spices into Basa Gede paste, wrapping ground chicken in banana leaves, and carefully balancing sweet, salty, sour, and heat. Chicken Sate, Sweet Fried Tempeh, Ayam Bumbu, Mie Goreng, Sticky Rice Cake… each dish more sinful then the next. If you’re in Bali… this should absolutely be on your “Must-Do-List”!

We had such a great experience on this tour and couldn’t have asked for a better guide team. Our driver and his wife were incredibly attentive, kind, and knowledgeable from start to finish. They really took the time to understand what we wanted out of the day and thoughtfully adjusted the itinerary along the way—skipping things we had already done and adding in new experiences that made the tour feel completely personalized. What stood out most was how much they went above and beyond at each stop. They often accompanied us, helping us order from menus, explaining local customs, and making sure we felt comfortable and confident navigating everything. It made a huge difference, especially in a new place. Very well organized. Our driver Wira was punctual and didn’t rush us at the stops at the hot springs and plantation after our hike. Our tour guide Wajib was patient and managed to make a very crowded attraction feel personalized and took amazing photos. I’d recommend proper footwear and a light layer for the top as it’s a bit chilly. Wonderful experience overall highly recommended.

A fantastic and memorable day out in Ubud

We had a wonderful day out to Ubud with Putu as our guide and driver. In 8 hours, we visited a Luwak coffee plantation, the Monkey Forest Temple, and finally lunch at Tegallalang. Because of the heavy afternoon tropical downpour, TIS Cafe was full and had a long waiting queue. Putu quickly found us a great warung facing the rice terraces and joined us for lunch. It had both jaw-dropping views and great food, and we learned much about him and Balinese life in our lunchtime conversation. Kudos to Putu for a highly memorable day out to these Ubud highlights. We have great respect and appreciation for the way he drove us safely in the chaotic and busy roads of Bali. As a guide he was knowledgeable and kindly helped take numerous group photos for us. He even gave us a Polaroid photo souvenir from his personal camera to remember the day. Putu also accommodated an impromptu request for some shopping in the Tegallalang area. We highly recommended him as your guide and driver for a great day out. Terima kasih Putu!

Dode was my driver and guide, while Traiton took amazing pictures, they were patient and adhered to all my every need and question. Drove Bali rid rides safe yet swiftly, so safely I slept a few times from jet lag, they were so understanding and showed me MAJOR highlights of Ubud! Perfect for my physique and energy! I got to see and experience so much of the area in a requested amount of time due to my energy levels. They both were protective and thoughtful! Five stars aren’t enough!

I was worried that I was the only one in a car for my six hour tour. It turned out to be the most amazing experience I could ever hope for. Maha was there early and I happened to see if we could begin. From the moment he picked me up it was nothing but kindness and grace. He shared his culture and beautiful island with me. The car was comfortable and he’s an excellent driver. We made it to our location where we were fitted with snorkeling gear, and placed our lunch order. The next set of people were just as kind and took us to two snorkeling spots. Blue Lagoon was nice, but.Pundang Bai it is absolutely incredible. The people who helped us snorkel were fabulous. They helped us back to the showers before we went to the restaurant where Maha took over again and make sure I had everything I needed. The Balinese culture is fascinating and the lunch was delicious. They even added extra hot peppers for me to try. Our drive back went too quickly. I was able to stop at a fruit stand and buy some fresh fruit. I was sad when we got to the port and realized my tour was over. I look forward to returning. Bali local host is lucky to have Maha working for him. 😍

Great day worth every penny

Don't forget your camera, comfortable walking shoes and sunscreen. Wear light clothing as Bali cab be HOT! There were only 2 of us on the trip which was perfect. Our driver, Putu, was friendly and very knowledgeable. He took us to a very nice air conditioned restaurant. If you book, ask for Putu!

Unbelievable experience, I’d highly recommend!

The Mount Batur Sunrise Hike was unbelievable! I cannot recommend the experience enough. Ketut was our guide and he spent time getting to know us, educating us about the volcano and making sure we were safe and support at all times. The hike certainly is not easy (you do need to be physically fit) but absolutely worth it. Ketut provided us with a headtorch and walking stick- make sure you say yes to those! Ketut assisted us both on the way up and down particularly in areas that were slippy or steep- you can tell he cares after his guests and takes pride in this. Once at the top, Ketut provided breakfast as the sun came up. It was a quiet spot with not too many people which was great. We were then taken to different view point locations in order to truly experience the volcano. Ketut also took many brilliant photos for us- nothing was too much trouble for him! I cannot recommend this enough.

This was our first tour in Bali and was a great introduction to Ubud. Sakha was such a friendly tour guide and ensured that we had an amazing day out.
