Slow-paced, no thrill rafting

The tour operator is very accommodating and allowed us to join another tour since we were unable to make it at the booked time. It’s a bit hard to catch them on the chat but they eventually do. They have decent facility for showering after. The rafting in itself was decent. For those who have rafted earlier, the currents are not at all strong. It’s a very slow paced, 5 year old friendly raft activity. Additionally, it’s made slower by other factors. The tour operator could have segregated the families with children from solo or couples. Not doing so resulted in less people paddling on the raft and being relatively slow in speed, thus resulting in more effort and less thrill.

Wonderful Experience

We had a blast. You do have to walk 300 steps down and 300 steps back up. My husband and I are in our early 60s and we had a fine time doing it. The equipment was good and guide was excellent, enjoyable and funny. Felt very safe. Wonderful experience.

Great day on the river

Our driver, Yudi, was at our hotel before scheduled time and send us a message to let him know, when ever we were ready to go. He toke care of us the whole day and returned us safely to our hotel. We had a lot of fun at the river rafting experience and would recommend this adventure for everyone who can manage the many steps down and up.

Great rafting in stunning landscape

Absolutely great whitewater rafting experience in stunning landscape. Our guide Renu explained everything regarding safety before the trip and was a great entertainer. We had a lot of fun together and enjoyed our tour a lot. Transfer was perfectly organized and short ways. The amount of steps should be mentioned in the description. Some people had issues walking down and later up more than 250 big steps.

Cool experience - worth for money

It is really worthy - most of all, if you have never done rafting before. It’s a beginner path - enjoyable from everyone. Even if it’s busy - there are a lot of other rafting boats around - it’s did not feel crowded. The organization of Bintang Rafting is cool - the guides (we had Oka) are prepared, friendly and carey. During the ride, there is a stop for a drink (way too expensive, as not included, but still feasible considering it’s in the middle of the river - a coconut around 50000 IDR). Showers and fresh towels after the ride are included. The provided lunch is tasty. All in all - a very nice experience.

Rafting was so much fun! I was very scared at first but this was very beginner friendly! There are a lot of steps but it’s doable! Mr.G was our guide and he was amazing! Will definitely do again!

Nice rafting but uncomfortable driver

The adventure itself was great. We had a really nice guide (Putu) who was funny and guided us very well. BUT and that's why the review is only average, the driver (Made Surata) who picked us up at the hotel made us feel uncomfortable. The trip included time for showering and lunch after the rafting but when we arrived back from the lake he already waited for us and started asking if we could leave now. We told him that we're gonna shower and eat but he kept asking for 3 more times. In the end we didn't eat properly and weren't able to buy a photo because of the pressure he created on us.

Super fun experience, even when it rains

This was my second time rafting in Bali, but first time with Bintang Bali Rafting. It was the best and most fun experience. Excellent guide and delicious lunch. Showering afterwards is a bit less, but I'm happy to accept that.

Worth doing despite all the steps

Great guide. Was very helpful getting me down the 200 steps and back up the 200 steps which probably should have been mentioned at time of booking. However rafting was fun.

Fun day out

A really fun day out! The river wasn’t too turbulent, not many drops etc, but it was a great day out. The river scenery and waterfalls are beautiful, and it was fun splashing other boats on the water. Lunch after was delicious and had a vegetarian option.

Great experience, excellent service

Great experience from start to finish. Excellent communication beforehand. Experienced and entertaining guide with whom we felt in safe hands. We had life jackets, helmets and a good safety briefing. The river is not too rough or fast flowing even after heavy rainfall but definitely thrilling enough for most! Beautiful 2 hour trip along the river, stunning scenery, about 10 waterfalls (I lost count) one of which you stop at to swim. Lots of people mention the steps - 400 down, 250 up I think but definitely manageable if you are treasonably fit and able. Wonderful experience and good company.

Great Rafting Tour

The whitewater rafting on The Ayung River is pretty gentle with beautiful scenery. Approx 200 steps down to River & back up at the end but not too hard as other company's have more. The organisation at Bali Bintang Rafting was efficient, guide was excellent, lunch was OK but must pay for drinks & even when u stop half way along river. The down side was that our driver transferred here was 1 hr late due to traffic apparently. Also be careful when u book as cost us more having to pay in USD instead of AUD even though I selected this & company/ viator did not care!

A real hoot!

I went on this with my wife and son and we had a real laugh - it was a lot of fun but also a little adventurous and absolutely beautiful on the river. The final float down the river, out of the raft was really relaxing, and the lunch provided was yummy. We all had a blast and would recommend it - but be ready for lots of steps down to and up from the river itself.
