The Sahara Desert is a wonderland for adventurers, but knowing how to get there as a non-Tunisian is quite the task. This 2-day tour from Sousse showcases the best of the region and takes care of logistics such as hotels and tours, saving you hours of planning. You won’t have to worry about totaling your hire car, either—4x4 vehicles tackle rugged terrain with ease.

Escape the coast with private, air-conditioned transport directly from your hotel and embark on an exclusive 2-day private Sahara expedition. Walk through Roman history at the UNESCO-listed Colosseum of El Jem, then descend into the iconic underground Berber troglodyte homes of Matmata. Continue to Douz, the gateway to the Sahara, where you can take in sunset views and opt for camel rides or quad biking across the dunes. Spend the night under the stars in comfortable private tents at Dunes Insolites camp, treated to an authentic dinner and live Saharan folklore. On day two, journey across the shimmering salt flats of Chott el Jerid before exploring the stunning canyons and waterfalls of Chebika and Tamerza ahead of your comfortable return transfer.
