A fantastic day ahead touring the Kingdom of Fife and the home of golf - St Andrews. Heading first to South Queensferry to see all 3 bridges from the viewpoint. Crossing the bridge into Fife and passing Loch Leven where Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned in Lochleven Castle. There's an optional stop at Bunnet Stane and then on to Falkland - a filming location for Outlander. Falkland Palace sits at the heart of the village with cobbled streets and cottages. It's then on to St Andrews starting with West Sands Beach - home of movies including Chariots of Fire - golden sands and dunes aplenty. A few steps from the beach and you're on the famous Old Course - see the Clubhouse and get your picture taken on the Swilcan Bridge. Then head in to town to see the old Cathedral ruins, the beautiful architecture of the University buildings and browse through the streets of this old market town. It's then a stunning drive back along the East Neuk visiting some of the old fishing villages.

Explore Scotland for the day - from the Lowlands to the Highlands! A short drive out of the City takes you to The Kelpies - the largest equine sculpture in the world. Then head North and pass Stirling Castle - set on a volcanic rock it's visible for miles. A beautiful drive through Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park takes you on to the mighty Glen Coe. Majestic mountains surround the Pass of Glencoe - plenty of photo opportunities. It's then on to Fort William - the outdoors capital of the Highlands - sitting at the foot of Ben Nevis, Scotland's highest mountain. A quick stop at Neptune's Staircase - 8 locks on the Caledonian Canal and then off to Loch Ness. Home of Nessie, this large freshwater loch is also the location of Urquhart Castle and Fort Augustus. It's then a drive by Inverness and a stunning drive down through the Cairngorms National Park and in to Perthshire where you will pass Loch Leven where Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned and then on to Edinburgh.

Calling all Sassenachs! Prepare to step ashore and straight into the world of Outlander. We’ll embark on the ultimate journey through some of Scotland’s most stunning filming locations Your adventure begins in the village of Culross, transformed into Cranesmuir for the series. Wander its cobblestone streets and immerse yourself as you pass by the Mercat Cross (Note: Palace entry is optional and not included.) From there, it’s on to Doune Castle, the magnificent fortress that served as the seat of Clan MacKenzie. We highly recommend the audio guide narrated by Sam Heughan himself—a treat for every fan! After a lunch break to recharge, we continue to Blackness Castle. This fortress became Black Jack Randall’s imposing Fort William in the series. Our final stop is Midhope Castle, beloved by fans as Lallybroch, Jamie Fraser’s cherished family home. The perfect ending to our Outlander journey (site access is dependent on availability).

We depart Invergordon and a journey towards our first stop, Clava Cairns, a collection of mysterious stone burial cairns over 4,000 years old. The stunning highland backdrop adds to a unique and memorable start to your excursion. Then onto Culloden Battlefield, the site of the tragic end of the 1746 Jacobite rebellion. A deeply moving experience that brings Scottish history to life. There is an entrance fee for the exhibits within the visitors centre, however, you can walk the battlefield for free. Our next stop is Cawdor Castle which showcases beautifully maintained rooms filled with historic family treasures, antique furnishings, and artwork. The surrounding gardens offer vibrant seasonal displays and serene walks. Enjoy post-visit lunch in the castle café. Our final destination is Inverness, the capital of the Highlands. Enjoy a leisurely walk, discover local shops, or simply take in the vibrant charm of this Highland hub. You will then take the short journey back to port.
