A great Sapa tour!
Our Sapa eco tour with our guide, Ya, was fantastic. She was knowledgeable, relaxed, and genuinely welcoming. Unlike other tours with long, strenuous walks, ours was shorter but rich and visually stunning, winding through rice terraces, bamboo groves, and local villages, with authentic insights into the H’mong people. We finished our tour while enjoying an herbal foot soak with coffee overlooking the valley at the beautiful Phansi viewpoint. Highly recommended this tour for culture, light adventure, and scenery.

Trekking tour in Sapa with Vu
Our trip was great! We had Vu as our guide, a Black H’Mong woman who has lived in Sapa her whole life. She is very knowledgeable and friendly, her English is very understandable. The hiking had steep downhills so definitely wear shoes with good traction. Trekking poles would have been great but we didn’t pack any. We did the tour in mid-March so the fog was pretty thick, but we still got some good views. The bungalow didn’t have heat, but the bed was heated and there were nice hot showers.

Sapa tours tend to focus on hikes, homestays, and total cultural immersion in the misty mountain gem of northern Vietnam. Spend days trekking through emerald rice paddies and charming villages, stopping to cook and share lunch with welcoming local host families. For the more adventurous, private treks offer the chance to conquer Mount Fansipan, the “Roof of Indochina,” guided by knowledgeable locals who share stories about the region’s deep history. While these ascents may be challenging, the breathtaking summit vistas make them well worth the effort.
