What are people saying about Salzburg

Unforgettable experience!
This concert was the highlight of our visit to Salzburg. The dramatically, beautiful setting of the fortress, the excellent music, and the musicians’ genuine engagement with the audience made for a splendid experience.
The funicular rail made it very easy to reach the top, surprisingly quickly. The views were incomparable. There are a few staircases involved once you reached the fortress, but nothing to intense. There appeared to be people of all ages attending.

Memories from this trip are my desktop screensaver. Top notch tour
This tour was everything advertised. Words can’t describe the beauty of the town. My family and I had some trouble getting from Vienna to Salzburg in time for the tour and arrived frazzled but the jovial nature of our guides and driver reset the tone and we had the absolute best time. The weather was lovely for our day out. There were snacks and beverages available to buy just as peckishness might have begun to distract us. We loved hearing all the behind the scenes nuggets about the film and what can beat singing those famous tunes with strangers who love the film as much as we do..

Walking tour of Salzburg
Great tour of the city. The guide was knowledgeable and fun. He knew the city and its history. He pointed out landmarks, fun spots from the sound of music, and provided lots of interesting facts and stories about the area and its history.
Highly recommend. It is a great start to a trip in Salzburg and introduction to the city

We had such a lovely time...
We had such a lovely time with our family. The instructor explained everything so clearly and kindly, and the staff were wonderfully warm and helpful. The shop interior was truly unique, with a charming cave-like feel, and the atmosphere was delightful. The traditional soup was absolutely delicious, too.

Excellent Sound of music tour
The entire experience was lovely. We had a small group of 18 people and traveled in a comfortable minibus. Had to walk in the old town area. Our guide Simon was knowledgeable and excellent and did a great job of taking us to all the filming locations. He also told us a lot of history of Salzburg and Austria . The tour took 4 hrs and the timing was just right. Included bathroom breaks too which were good and a little time to look round on our own. Highly recommend Simon and this tour.
Simon even played the sound of music Songs in the Van. Just the right amount !

Salt Mine Tour
The Salt Mine Tour was not only fun, but extremely interesting. We got to dress up as miners and ride deep into the mine, we slid down two slides and even used a boat to get across one stretch of water! It was a really unique experience, and I would strongly recommend it to anyone.

A musical inspiration that should not be missed.
This concert is for lovers of classical music and those who are just simply entranced by the musical artistry of exceptionally talented musicians. The musical repertoires had something for everyone. And everyone should recognize their favorite, including classical renditions of pop classics. The acoustics within the stunning Mirabelle palace amplifies the enjoyment. It was a truly inspirational and memorable experience.

Beautiful views
Amazing views of the German and Austrian countryside. My dad uses a walker, but he was able to see the views from the main level of the nest. The walk up to the cross was to difficult for him, but the others in my group felt it is worthwhile to get better pictures. The road is steep and winding, so if you get motion sickness, be sure to take Dramamine. Thanks Mirko for being such an entertaining guide.

Jose- great tour guide and great bus tour
Fantastic trip with Jose! The trip to Hallstatt was one I will never forget! The scenery on the way was absolutely beautiful and when we got there it was perfect timing as it was relatively quiet so managed to get a few nice photos without the crowds. It was a little on the pricier side for a bus trip however it did make things so much easier as we had over 2 and a half hours there which we felt was more than enough and the bus also dropped us right in the town. It was a boiling hot day, mid 30’s and there was enough shade and a lovely restaurant close to the bus terminal. Jose was our guide on the trip and he was so funny and was lovely. Towards the end of the trip he went around everyone and asked how everything was and if he could give any recommendations for when we got back to Salzburg, he did that with everyone! What a lovely gentleman! Would recommend this trip! Thank you Jose!

Dinner was amazing and...
Dinner was amazing and secluded. We had a perfect view of old town from our dinner table and the food was excellent. Afterwards we went to the concert room and listened to some of Mozart's favorite pieces while overlooking the sunset from the fort. Amazing tour!

Awesome experience- cruise, dinner, music!
Great combined experience- we took the cruise, then had dinner and attended the concert. The VIP booking was amazing - we had a private table for a wonderful dinner (ask about the vegetarian option if you like, was wonderful), and then were seated in the center of the front row for the concert! Amazing quartet and pianist. The fortress was amazing, such a beautiful site for the concert. The sun was setting as the concert began. I will remember this for a long time!

The perfect introduction to Salzburg.
Maroine was outstanding. We began our time in Salzburg with his tour, and it was the perfect introduction to the city. He thoughtfully showed us all the key sights, explaining not just what we were seeing, but the history and stories behind each place.
As non-German speakers, we were a bit intimidated by the language barrier at first, but Maroine immediately put us at ease. He was patient, welcoming, and generous with his knowledge—offering excellent recommendations and graciously answering all of our questions.
By the end of the tour, we didn’t just feel informed—we felt confident. We walked away with a true understanding of Salzburg, a curated list of places we were excited to explore (and even revisit), and the comfort to navigate the city on our own. It was the ideal way to begin our stay.
