Stirring Day Trip out to D-Day landing beached
This is a very interesting day trip out of Paris. We met around 7 AM and then drove out in a little over two hours to Normandy. During a jam packed days, we made stops at the German gun emplacements at Longeville Sur Mer at the excellent privately owned D-Day Museum in Vierville-Sur_Mer near Omaha Beach. We then stopped for a leisurely one hour lunch (short by French standards) and went to a nearby apple farm house for a sampling of apple juice, cider and then Calvados (90% plus proof alcohol). In the afternoon, we drove out to Pointe du Hoc - at the exact spot where President Reagan gave his "Boys of Pointe du Hoc" speech 40 years ago. Slightly over 200 rangers landed at the base of the cliff on D-Day and fewer than 100 could report for duty the following day. We then made two additional stops on Omaha Beach (which is around 5 miles long) before driving up to the American cemetery above Omaha Beach. Over 8000 soldiers are buried there. In addition, there is a remembrance wall listing the names of over 3000 soldiers missing in action. At 4 PM, they lower the flag over the cemetery and play taps. You could have heard a pin drop. Normandy was a real sobering experience. It reminded me of the bravery of all those soldiers who literally gave their lives so that we can enjoy the freedom that our country enjoys today. We left the cemetery around 5:15 PM and then drove back to Paris arriving there around 7:30 PM. It was an extremely interesting day. Our driver was excellent and filled us with information about the landings, Normandy, the making of Calvados etc. I would highly recommend this full day tour. Sincerely, Peter S. Matorin

Beautiful Keepsake
We had quite the morning getting to pictures and were late due to traffic, we blew the power in our room, and it was during a heat wave. We were extremely jet-lagged and somehow Phineas managed to take beautiful pictures of my family. The pictures will be cherished forever, I cannot recommend this enough.

When two absolutely...
When two absolutely average looking people look amazing in photos without heavy editing, you know are in the hands of a true artist. Mike was truly a magician with setting, framing, and location. I would recommend him to my closest family and friends.

Great views worth the climb
Angela is an excellent tour guide. Very knowledgeable of the history of the Eiffel Tower. The climb itself is not bad. She gave us ample time to rest between levels 1 and 2. I felt very accomplished when it was though. I also took the lift to the summit which was well worth the view.
