Overall great experience
This is a nice day trip experience. The number of people Is perfect for the size of the boat, didnt feel too cramped, and had space to breathe. The safety debriefs were clear. Amenities were clean and the morning tea and snacks were appropriate for expectations. We were able to experience a pod of bottlenose dolphins circling and hunting for food. Overall, definitely worth the money to relax and experience a chill environment for a day.

The most amazing tour
We had an amazing guide, Keith. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about K'gari. Very well organised tour, the lunch provided was substantial. We saw interesting and scenic locations on the island.

A brilliant day!
This was an amazing tour! Our driver, Andrew, was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We saw all of the main spots on the beautiful K’gari island. We even saw wild Dingos, which was a highlight.

100% Great 100% recommended.
Great boat, wonderful crew.
Just the six of us on board for the half day cruise 21/2/26. Wonderful from start to finish, with three different pods of dolphins sighted, a swim in Crystal clear waters onto Pelican Island, and snacks and drinks (and sightings!) provided by Cassie.
Big thanks to Pete for a great trip.
Couldn't recommend Blue Dolphin any more highly.

Very fun tour. You get to...
Very fun tour. You get to experience beeing in nature, not just watching it. Our guide, Wade, could answer any question and was friendly, helpful and patient. Felt like a safe tour as a female solo traveller as well.

Great time, good gluten free options
Great time, tour guide Dean was top notch and clearly loved his job and even sorted us out with some spare towels as we had none (we thought we’d check into the accomm before starting the tour) which was very appreciated. The gluten free options were great over all and the buffet was great too. A 3 day tour would’ve been great to be able to see more of this amazing island, but if you only have 2 days, this is perfect!

People Also Ask
What is the best month to go to Fraser Island?
Spring (September–November) is arguably the best time to visit Fraser Island, with warm, dry weather, low humidity, and average temperatures around 73˚F (23˚C)—ideal for beach days and outdoor activities. Spring is also a great time for bird-watching and whale-watching tours, plus you’ll avoid the summer crowds.
How many days do you need on Fraser Island?
On a day tour from Hervey Bay, you can take in Fraser Island highlights such as Lake McKenzie, Seventy-Five Mile Beach, and the Pinnacles. However, a 2- or 3-day tour means exploring further, camping by the beach or jungle, and experiencing the island’s incredible sunsets.
Why can't you swim off Fraser Island?
Fraser Island is known for its beautiful beaches, but powerful rip tides and large numbers of sharks make it too dangerous to swim in the sea. However, you can still swim in the island’s lakes and beaches and at the Champagne Pools, natural rockpools along the northeast coast.
Have crocodiles been found on Fraser Island?
Yes, but it’s unsure how many. Although there aren’t any resident saltwater crocodiles on Fraser Island, there have been occasional croc sightings around the coast. Crocodile sightings have mostly been reported along the western coast of Fraser Island, and although most sightings remain unverified, it’s best to be cautious!
Are there many snakes on Fraser Island?
Yes, 18 snake species live on Fraser Island, including non-venomous green tree snakes and pythons, and the deadly taipan, death adder, and eastern brown snake. However, snake sightings are not common, and snakes will rarely attack unprovoked, so just stay at a safe distance.
What do you see on a tour of Fraser Island?
Tours of Fraser Island typically involve a 4WD road trip along the world’s largest sand island. As well as driving the spectacular sand highway of Seventy-Five Mile Beach, tours often include wildlife-watching in the jungle, a swim at the Champagne Pools or Lake McKenzie, or cruising Eli Creek.
