A truly great trip. Not only was it fun, but it was also extremely informative. Some of scenery beautiful and opportunity to swim in gorgeous lake. Guides, Dan and Rory (Cam Smith) were top notch, skilled and knowledgeable. Not to be undertaken by those with travel sickness or faint heart!

The tour was great! everyone super friendly. Could have been a bit more information however it was all in all an amazing daytrip and I would do it again. Keep in mind you will spend a lot of time in the car, however there are big distances you need to overcome to see something.

Lovely day exploring and learning about the island

Lovely day exploring the island. We were lucky to be in a 6 person vehicle so we could ask a lot of questions and learn a lot from our awesome guide Jess who had a lot of knowledge of the island, it's history and flora/fauna. We also had great track conditions so we were able to spend a good amount of time at the rainforest walk, Lake Mackenzie and Eli Creek. Lake Mackenzie would have to be the best fresh water that I've ever swam in. Enjoyed the lunch and afternoon tea that was provided. Driving along the beach and inland was a great experience. Can't recommend enough, was well worth the price.

they kept delaying it and eventually cancelled it after 4 hours. for 4 damn hrs we had been waiting at the bus stop. no updates, no emails, no anything, unless we contacted them first. we only learned it was cancelled bc we kept making a call to ask them

Wow. We had such a great experience. Our tour guide Rory was amazing, knowing everything about the island and being a great driver on the bumpy terrain! We feel as though we got the full island experience in only one day, which is exactly what we wanted. Also such a bonus that lunch was included, as well as getting picked up and dropped off right outside our accommodation. Would 100% recommend to anyone, literally our best day in Australia yet.

Everything about this tour was an adventure. Riding along the beach, and traveling on the inland roads/roller coaster, was wild. Great scenery, and even saw some dingos. Great having lunch in a rainforest setting. Bring your bathing suit.

This tour was great!! The bus unfortunately broke down on our way to Fraser, but we were lucky enough to have Jeff and Matt as our guides. They quickly handled it, and gave us a memorable trip around the island anyways. The guides were full of energy all day long, and were absolutely hilarious!! The stops were beautiful and Jeff had so much knowledge about everything on the island - both animals, nature and history. Would definitely recommend!!

Weve been on various trips round the world and never felt the need to write a bad review but this was without a doubt the worst trip we’ve ever had, especially considering the cost of the trip. We were very disappointed with this trip for the following reasons: 1. The guide was late to the pick up point 2. ⁠We were dropped at a petrol station whilst the guide swapped to an appropriate vehicle (we waited here for approx 1 hour and was not told it would be so long)- there was no indication of times initially. 3. ⁠This is advertised as a guided tour, our ‘guide’ was just a driver. They did not share any information/knowledge throughout the tour, just told us to get off and on the bus 4. ⁠The guide did not communicate times for the stops so we were left guessing how long we had at each stop 5. ⁠We did not do the 1 hour rainforest walk (which is the main reason we booked this trip). We instead spent nearly 2 hours at the creek which is advertised as 30 minute stop. Again this change in itinerary was not communicated by the guide and we were left waiting to leave the creek assuming we would go to the walk but instead we returned to the ferry 6. The ‘Aussie lunch’ was a ham or chicken cob, coffee/ tea and a muffin. Not substantial considering it’s a 13 hour day.

Firstly. It’s overpriced. Secondly they use a vehicle they shouldn’t use for this tour Thirdly the food is as cheap as you will find - drinks big bottles of juices. Overpriced for what you get!!!

No air conditioning on bus

We where very disappointed with the transport supplied,the air conditioning was not working which was awful,as the temperature was really high,the tour guide had so much knowledge to share but we could not hear him at all,the wheels on the back of the bus where Making such a racket,it would have been better with a tanoy to hear,it really did spoil the experience,k’gari island did not disappoint it was beautiful and that was a saving grace,I would say the bus needs condemning we had to open the windows which then allowed the flies to get into the bus it was not the experience any of us where expecting,and this is not a cheap day tour and we felt that we didn’t get what we paid for,and because of this I would not recommend this tour company,there where many others that had better transport that would have made the experience more comfortable and pleasurable.

Had the best day on our K’Gari island tour. Jeff our tour guide was amazing, he really made the day. He made us laugh from the start to the end of the day, amazing playlist and great driving skills. We really had the best day thanks to Jeff. Would recommend this tour 100%!

Great experience throughout. Our guide, Troy, was extremely knowledgeable and clearly very passionate about his job. He was kind, very down to earth and made the trip very enjoyable despite some rain. Had a good amount of time at each location. Amazing place to visit. Drinks and cakes provided (lunch was one roll so make sure to bring your own stuff if needed, and plenty of water).

Great time but too fast through all the stops

Great, but too rushed, and would have been nice to know there was a self drive option for the beginning and end to meet at Rainbow beach. Amazing to see all the locations, but at each one it felt like we barely had any time to enjoy them before we had to move on to the next. Not helped either by slow inconsiderate other traffic on the one way island tracks. Bus was a little cramped, understandably given the tracks it goes over, so not much room to get ready at each stop with suncream etc, essential in the sun in Australia! There's not really the time to do so either. The guide doesn't wait for everyone if you're only a few seconds late getting off the bus before they start explaining things. Also would have been good to know to bring a rubber ring or something to float down the creek towards the end, so do that! I'd suggest to the tour company, skip the ruined boat at the end, and potentially skip the tiny rainforest track and just go straight to the lake, much as it's amazing. You pass by central station again on the way to the creek anyway so perhaps it would be better to put that in there, and just feed everyone snacks on the bus to save time rather than morning tea. Also fair warning, the roads are VERY bumpy. Don't be like the people we had complaining that the driver was "crazy" for going 10mph, the bus can take it, not for the faint stomached.

Fraser Island was worth visiting :) Our tour guide was full of information, knowledge & stories. The 4WD Tank was comfortable & amazing to travel in along the beaches & tracking through the bush. We felt very safe & the food was delicious especially the vegan slice I’d really love that recipe :)

Awesome day trip to Fraser Island. Brilliantly organised and seamless from start to finish. Our tour guide had so much knowledge about the area, the wildlife and the local aboroginal culture. He was genuinely passionate about Fraser Island and it really showed. Did brilliantly well showing us all the sights, Lake McKensie and the beautiful rainforest walk. Excellent trip with Discovery Adventure Group! We did the full day Fraser Island trip from Noosa. Picked up right outside our hotel and driven to Fraser Island. The tour guide was so friendly and informative throughout the whole day, telling stories and chatting! The drive on Fraser Island was a bit bumpy as you are in a 4WD, so if you get car sickness probably not the best for you.. The whole day was brilliant from start to finish! Had morning tea & delicious sandwich lunch. Lake Mckenzie was beautiful!! And we even got to see a dingo. Recommend to everyone!!
