Enjoyable day in Nara
We spent 6 hours in Nara with Junichi Taguchi and were impressed by how much we were able to see and learn in that time. Traveling as a group of seven adults, we visited Kasuga Taisha, enjoyed lunch at Mizuya Chaya, and explored Tōdai-ji—including the Great Buddha Hall and surrounding grounds. We also spent time at Yoshikien Garden and Irie Taikichi Memorial Museum of Photography, along with encounters with Nara’s famous bowing deer.
Junichi shared clear, informative context throughout the day, adding depth to each stop without ever feeling overwhelming. His pacing was thoughtful, and he kept our group moving smoothly while still allowing time to take things in.
A well-organized and engaging tour—highly recommend Junichi for anyone visiting Nara.

Outstanding Kyoto & Nara Tour with Riku – Flexible & Fantastic! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We booked a full-day private tour of Kyoto and Nara with Riku and couldn’t be happier with the experience.
Originally scheduled for a rainy day, we decided (on Riku’s excellent suggestion) to move the tour one day earlier. The weather was beautiful, and it made all the difference. Riku was wonderfully flexible and helped make the change seamless.
He was fun, engaging, and unrushed throughout the day. His deep knowledge of the history and culture really stood out — he shared fascinating insights at every stop without ever feeling like he was lecturing. We felt completely at ease and thoroughly enjoyed his company.
The itinerary was perfect: we visited many beautiful temples in Kyoto, walked through the magical Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, and spent lovely time in Nara at Tōdai-ji Temple (home of the Great Buddha) with the friendly free-roaming deer in Nara Park. Everything flowed smoothly thanks to Riku’s great pacing and planning.
His service was truly exceptional — professional, attentive, and genuinely passionate. We left feeling like we had explored with a knowledgeable local friend.
We highly recommend Riku for anyone wanting a memorable, stress-free tour of Kyoto and Nara.
Thank you so much, Riku!

Our tour guide Genki was...
Our tour guide Genki was exceptional on this tour. He was both informative and fun. The highlight was feeding the deer. Bring some cash along to buy some biscuits. The visit to the temple was insightful. Hs knowledge of the temple allowed him fill in the rich history that we truly enjoyed.

Amazing day in Nara
We had an amazing day with Ayu exploring the charming town of Nara. We saw so many things, met the deer, and learned so much about Nara and Japanese culture. Ayu was our favorite tour guide of the many tours we have taken. She was knowledgeable, fun, and tolerant of our many extended photo stops and knife shopping. It was a very memorable day.

E-bikes- a great way to see Nara!
Fabulous ebike trip- really takes the weight off your feet. Lovely guide Matheus showed us all around the park, the deer, various shrines temples and knife shop. E bikes were really easy to use, and we explored much further than had we been on foot! Highly recommend!

One of our favourite...
One of our favourite tours during our trip! Atchan did a grest job despite getting delayed by people in the group not returning from free time in a timely fashion. Loads of open air to be enjoyed in the deer park, the deer are the friendliest I have ever seen! We were also pleasantly supprised by the quality of the food served. There was also a discount coupon for matcha ice cream provided at the restaurant. The 16th and 17th generation tea masters at Uji were excellent performers, very good fun!

Amazing tour and an amazing guide!
First of all if you book this tour and you're fortunate enough to get Seiko as your tour guide you should consider yourself LUCKY! She was amazing and made this tour so special with her knowledge, insight, mastery of english, sense of humor and preparation. From guiding us, to having various visual aids that helped expand insight into what we were looking at to even being as thoughtful as to have little baggies for us to put our 'Deer Crackers' in, she made this tour perfect. Her communication was excellent before the tour and she made sure she was easy to find. This is a tour is a MUST BOOK if you are visiting Nara.

Great tour!
Yuya was a wonderful guide! He taught us about Japan’s history and added a few places he thought we might be interested in along the time. He didn’t rush us at all, in fact he helped me locate the goshuin at the various temples and shrines we went to. We ended up going past our booked time but he didn’t mind and still didn’t rush us through anything. Absolutely recommend Yuya!

Wonderful Morning Tour of Nara!
Ikki was a kind, knowledgeable, and oh so helpful tour guide! This was our second tour of Nara and we learned so much more about the history, shrines and temples than our first experience (with another guide). Ikki knew the best picture spots, as well as the best place to feed the deer. 10/10 recommendation!

Great family day in Nara!
Our guide Sho and driver Riki took amazing care of us during our day in Nara. Sho was kind, personable and shared a lot of interesting information with our family. He encouraged us to try new things and connected with our teenage son over a shared love of anime. Thank you so much for creating such a memorable experience!

Perfect Way to See Kyoto in a Day
We had an amazing private full-day tour in Kyoto with our driver! I loved being able to see so many sites in just one day. Starting early in the morning was a great decision since we were able to beat the crowds at the first few temples. Talha was wonderful—he guided us through some temples where we might have wasted extra time on our own, which allowed us to see even more. We also appreciated the balance of having time to wander some of the sites independently. Not having to worry about transportation between locations was such a relief, and honestly, we never would have been able to cover as much as we did in just one weekend without this tour. Highly recommend!

A lovely tour!
George is an extraordinary person and guide. The tour was filled not only with historical information but also with interesting things you don’t find in history books. He was patient with the children, who were quite fussy because the temperature outside was around 39 degrees Celsius. I warmly recommend him.
