We had such a wonderful time exploring Nara Park via electric bike. There’s no way we would’ve been able to see everything in one day by foot. This gave us the opportunity to really see and experience the entire park and more! Our guide, Christophe, was excellent!!!

The meeting point was easy to find and once you know the amount of acres the park entails, you thank whatever deity you believe in for eBikes. You could walk and wonder for miles without the bike. Christophe, set us up for our visit in Japan. The tour was full of wonderfully presented information that created respect and a basic understanding of what the Deer park, Temples and Shrines stood for and continue to represent. I would, and have already, recommended this tour.

The tour path was simple riding, and saved my feet a ton of steps. I went in the early AM group and there were far more tourists at these places as we were leaving than when we began. This made for a more calm tour.
The group tour guide, Matheus, was absolutely wonderful. He was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and made me feel very safe riding the ebike for the first time in Japan. I think this is the absolute best way to see Nara.
Go shop at the market and grab a bite at any of the wonderful small restaurants on the old side of Nara. They have so much local items made in Nara. Id give them 10 stars if I could!

Matheus was a great guide in that he was able to answer our questions as we traveled around the sites. We were lucky enough to be the only ones on the ride so got lots of opportunities to discover what was there. I recommend going on the 9:00 tour before Nara gets busy.

I was disappointed by this tour. The guide either knew fairly little about the history of the sites or chose not to share. I tried asking for more information a few times and got only surface-level answers. His attitude toward the spirituality of the sites also felt flippant at times.
I felt rushed at the Great Buddha Hall and in Kasuga Taisha, but we also spent a while just riding in circles over the grass of the park. Much of the tour had us riding through densely crowded areas, which was frustrating and seemed disrespectful to the pedestrians trying to walk.
I appreciated going to the knife shop. I was able to purchase a nice gift at a reasonable price.

As a matter of fact, all the other guests did not feel the same way, but we understand that what pleases some people cannot please everyone sometimes. You are right about a section with a bit too many people, depending on the season. Nonetheless, we must go through that short section on the way back to get back to the base. We are glad that you found the knife stop useful and that you could get yourself a very nice and useful souvenir.
We still hope you had great memories of Nara, and thank you for joining us on two wheels.

Fabulous ebike trip- really takes the weight off your feet. Lovely guide Matheus showed us all around the park, the deer, various shrines temples and knife shop. E bikes were really easy to use, and we explored much further than had we been on foot! Highly recommend!

4 hour ebike tour around Nara was the perfect late morning/ early afternoon activity to see all the sights. Christoph was a friendly and knowledgeable guide and I would certainly recommend this tour to anyone looking to see the temple, deer and check out some Japanese knives.

We had a wonderful time on the e-bike tour! Chris was a welcoming and amiable guide, and he shared lots of interesting information throughout the tour. He was also very conscious of our safety and comfort on the bikes, and during rest breaks. We loved it! This was the best way to explore Nara Park.

What a great way to see Nara! We had the ability to see more of the park that would have been hard to do by walking. It was a nice mix of guided tour, where we learned about the history, and free time to explore the sights on our own. I highly recommend it!

I had such a great time on this bike tour of Nara Park! The entire experience was well-organized, fun, and full of beautiful sights. Our guide was incredibly kind and knowledgeable—sharing fascinating facts about the history, culture, and local landmarks in a way that was easy to understand and engaging.
Biking through the park was such a peaceful and enjoyable way to see the area. We got to explore hidden paths, visit ancient temples, and of course, meet the famous deer! The pace was just right, and our guide made sure everyone felt comfortable and safe throughout the tour.
