Our guide Maite was very good. She gave a thorough and interesting presentation. We learned so much. She also was humorous at times. Very enjoyable tour!

TEMPLO MAYOR We had an outstanding experience with Omar on this exclusive tour of Templo Mayor. He was friendly, professional, and exceptionally knowledgeable. Having studied history and ethnography, he brought a depth of understanding that enriched every part of the tour. What made Omar particularly special was his ability to make history come alive. He is a gifted storyteller who provides historical context with both insight and sensitivity, helping visitors understand not only what happened, but why it matters. He shared fascinating perspectives on the rise of the Mexica civilization, the Spanish conquest, and the ongoing archaeological discoveries that continue to reshape our understanding of the site. The tour begins outdoors among the ruins of Templo Mayor, where visitors can explore the remains of the sacred precinct, including the foundations of the great double pyramid and the House of the Eagles, where elite warriors once prepared for battle. Omar expertly guided us through these remarkable ruins, explaining their significance and helping us visualize the city that once stood there. The experience then continues inside the museum, where the history observed outdoors is expanded and brought into even sharper focus. Omar carefully highlighted the most important artifacts, explained recent discoveries, and provided fascinating details about the objects on display. His explanations were thorough without ever feeling overwhelming, and he presented complex information in a way that was engaging, accessible, and memorable. One of the things we appreciated most was that Omar invited thoughtful discussion and made us feel genuinely engaged in the learning process. His enthusiasm for the subject was contagious, and it was a pleasure spending time with someone so passionate about sharing Mexico’s history and cultural heritage. This is absolutely the best way to experience both the ruins and the museum. We left with a much deeper understanding of Templo Mayor and the world of the Mexica people. Highly recommended!

I've been on many tours, and this one is by far the best for the following reasons: 1. Our guide, Tiere, was incredibly knowledgeable and provided much more interesting information than the signage, 2. Tiere made the tour nteractive by asking my wife and me questions that we could sometimes answer, 3. Templo Mayor is full of amazing artifacts, and 4. Tiare is clearly a very kind person, when my wife was cold due to a change in weather, Tiare gave her her own jacket without making a big deal of it. I would highly recommend this tour, and Tiare, to anyone interested in the rich history of Mexico.
