Amazing ride and great ompany!
It was absolutely fantastic and amazing! Our guide, Ann, was a legend at giving us great commentary and information along the drive. We lucked out when I went out where the weather was spot on throughout the journey. I would highly recommend this for anyone wanting a road trip with views and an amazing guide to boot (Ann 😆). Got to see Koalas, Kangaroos and a couple of birds along the way. It was just amazing and breath taking. The minivan was comfortable and clean. The spots for a pitstop for food and toilet break were pretty good too. 15/10 if it were up to me! Definitely worth the price!

Very nice experience :)
Our guide Matt was very knowledgeable and accommodated to everyone’s vibes- if you wanted to chat you could, but you could also relax in silence which was nice. He also communicated very clearly about the schedule and places we were going, and he still gave us an hour to explore after the Puffing Billy even though the boarding was delayed. Matt also got some really nice videos of the group on the train, so that was a very nice bonus and showed real professional care. The experience on the Puffing Billy was probably the highlight of our trip, the views were very pretty and the experience was unique. I would recommend having some wriggle time for any plans you might make after the guide, as in our experience, the Puffing Billy was almost an hour delayed due to a safety concern, although typically you wouldn’t have to wait that long. The staff at the Puffing Billy communicated very clearly and were very polite.

I was fortunate to have...
I was fortunate to have Jono as the guide for this tour. He really seemed to care about having us get the most for our money. He was very well organized and made time to look for koalas and kangaroos. The trip was amazing with incredible breath-taking views.

great ocean road: autumn version
the “reverse tour” was a great move because on this particular day we were so fortunate to experience “better” weather at the beginning of the tour (throughout the morning). the evening brought weather that has been melbourne’s coldest (since their winter season). but i will say, the great ocean road is beautiful no matter what the weather may bring. tip: if it’s cooler a specific day it’s probably a good idea to bring a jacket. the good thing is that you’re able to leave it on the bus between stops so you’re not having to worry about carrying things. most importantly, our tour guide chris was incredible. it’s such an asset having a host who has life experience and historical knowledge in the region because guests are able to receive a less tourist-y and more of a local experience which is brilliant for interstate and international visitors. he was also welcoming and had great humour. it made the tour comfortable and enjoyable. also a thank you to our guide chris for taking us all to a small town coffee shop called “café la hoot” in winchelsea and a restaurant called “george’s” out at apollo bay. whenever i’m at home or when i travel i always like to support small businesses. honourable mention: great playlist. such a vibe.

Not seeing something you are looking for?

When people come to Melbourne, they don't come to only see the city's attractions. They also come for the great Melbourne day trips that let you experience more of Victoria while staying comfortably in Melbourne. Take it easy as you're driven out to your pick of beaches, coastal attractions, wine valleys, and wildlife sanctuaries—the latter of which lets you see Australian wildlife including penguins and koalas. You can also make the most of Australia's seasons, from hitting the slopes in the ski fields in winter (June–August) to walking to waterfalls in the warmer months (December–February).
