Wonderful family trip to Great Ocean Rd
A trip to Great Ocean Rd and 12 Appostles that is unforgettable to my family. Pleasant group of tourists on the bus and our driver/tour guide/entertainer/cameraman (Luke) was perfect for us. Will always remember him, managed to make my daughter smiled during the journey (she rarely smiles 😃).

Loved the Moonlit Sanctuary and Penguin Parade tour!
I highly recommend this tour. I have done this tour twice now and would book it again. First, you stop at the beautifully colored bath houses on the beach, then you drive on to the Monlit Sanctuary where you can pay a couple dollars to get a cup of food to feed the kangaroos and wallabies. You can also pay a small amount of money to interact with the koala. They also have other animals you can walk around and see; wombat, dingo, Tasmanian devil. Then you go on to the beautiful stops along the coast headed out to Phillips island for the penguin parade. Then when you arrive at the penguin parade you can eat dinner, the fish and chips was real good. Then you spend about 2 hours outside (cold) for the penguin parade watching the penguins surf up on the waves and waddle to their burrows. Thoroughly enjoyed every moment.

Must do. If you don’t...
Must do. If you don’t have a car and want to venture out this was a small group tour.
We went to the 12 apostles must see it was so beautiful. Left early but well worth it. We avoided the crowds. We stopped along the way to eat and stretched. She stopped where we walked around and she helped us spot out the koalas also saw kangaroos.
We’ll coordinate want to thank our driver she did a wonderful job.

Close up and also in-situ wildlife viewing
My tour's guide and driver, Michael, gave us all an excellent ecotourism experience! He was informative, friendly, and easy to listen to. I didn't expect to get the information about the skyscrapers and the historic buildings, so that was an unexpected bonus. And of course lots of information about the penguins, the wallabies, and the protected bird species. I think the amount of time at each stop on the tour was just right, although I could also have been happier with more time. Michael told us exactly when to arrive and where to sit to get the best view of the penguins. The experts predicted low numbers, but I was delighted to find that over 100 penguins came up onto the beach that evening! This tour gave me some great local information, some future spots to check out, and some spots to return to with friends.

Great Ocean Road - Great Experience
It was a long day, but well worth the early start - especially in the company of our excellent driver and guide Bluey. On the way to the Twelve Apostles, we stopped in Torquay and Apollo Bay which are worth a visit in their own right - and we saw koalas and kangaroos in their natural habitat, which was great. The highlight was the Twelve Apostles, and we took the chance to see them from the air on the optional helicopter trip which was fantastic. There was also time for a short clifftop walk at Loch Ard Gorge, where Bluey told the story of the shipwreck which led to its name. All in all, it’s a fantastic trip which I would recommend to anyone - and I’d recommend Viator, too. Booking in advance with them was so easy - in terms of asking for extra information beforehand, making the reservation, payment, receiving confirmation, and getting e-tickets, too. Faultless.

Must do excursion
This was a wonderful excursion and a must do. Phillips island is a quaint location and worth the short trek from Melbourne. Nice sightseeing spots for pictures and beautiful views. The penguins were the highlight of course. Take layers of clothing and a beanie hat. It was windy and a regular hat or cap will blow off your head. It can get quite chilly at night by the water.

Great tour
Our original tour got cancelled as the driver and kangaroo collided upon his way to pick us up the company was great and moved us into a van but gave us the first 4 seats and a reduction in price as we had booked a smaller tour group.
Our tour /driver was Steve whom we enjoyed immensely. He was funny, and made you feel very welcome to his van. We would like to thank you from your 4 Canadian jet lagged passengers

Awesome tour, definitely worth booking
This tour was great and well worth it. Our tour guide Chris did an outstanding job commentating along the way and was very knowledgeable and was funny as well. He did a great job managing time and even though we didn’t get to see the rainforest (closed because it was really wet) it was made up by our chances to see some kangaroos and koalas in the wild which we have been trying to do. It was a long day but packed full of things to do and see. Would definitely recommend

Puffing Billy Dandenongs tour with Explore Australia
Great tour guide - Michael was friendly, informative, and took us safely to and from our destination. He also took photos of us and gave relevant local advice. Thanks, Michael!
Tour ran on time (in fact, we left 8 minutes early as everyone was ready to go!) with no issues. Tour bus was new, clean and comfortable. Great way to see the Dandenongs and go on the Puffing Billy if you don't want to drive.

Not seeing something you are looking for?
When people come to Melbourne, they don't come to only see the city's attractions. They also come for the great Melbourne day trips that let you experience more of Victoria while staying comfortably in Melbourne. Take it easy as you're driven out to your pick of beaches, coastal attractions, wine valleys, and wildlife sanctuaries—the latter of which lets you see Australian wildlife including penguins and koalas. You can also make the most of Australia's seasons, from hitting the slopes in the ski fields in winter (June–August) to walking to waterfalls in the warmer months (December–February).
