This tour is the perfect extension to our Classic City Tour and includes the southern parts of "Old Town" which are not visited on classic tours, and the castle. It's a delightful mix of history, legend and medieval tradition. As usual, we meet in Preseren Square, from which we walk directly to the inner courtyard of Town Hall to hear fascinating stories of days gone by and the clowns that ran the show. We then continue down Old Town road, passing various points of interest on the way, before arriving at the Hercules Fountain in Old Town Square. My experience on the...

My experience on the castle and saves tour was wonderful. We were allotted plenty of time to explore the castle while listening to the audio guides and were able to skip the line to board the train into the caves. Vladimir was very informative and entertaining, giving us plenty of Slovenian facts on our way out. Pick up and drop off was very continent and the timing of the day (8am-2pm) was perfect. Would highly recommend

Packed day but fantastic

This was a well organized, packed day trip! We really for a lot in. It was def scheduled and at times, wished we had more time to explore and see each location, but I wouldn't say we felt rushed. I felt this tour fit more in than most, and it was one of the only ones I saw that went to Vintgar gorge.

8 in a group very comfortable vehicle. Great tour guide. Very enjoyable day involving beautiful scenery. Involves going up/down multiple steps to get to the waterfall. Castle has beautiful views. Tasted the local pastry very nice If you don’t wish to go for a swim. People watching and obviously the view is great.

Must do tour when in Ljubljana

This tour was such a great experience during my short stay in Slovenia. Matt was our tour guide and he was phenomenal. His safe driving and excellent explanations of what we were going to see were made the tour comfortable and enjoyable. I couldn’t say there was one stop that was a highlight for me, as I enjoyed each one. Don’t skip out on taking this day tour if staying in Ljubljana.

Gorge-ous views of the Soca Valley!

We had an absolutely amazing tour guide, Klara. I believe this was her first tour too! The extreme heat was so unbearable, but Klara’s energy really helped push us through. She also gave excellent recommendations on the best photo spots at each site so we didn’t have to waste energy finding them in the heat. She was also pointed out random beautiful views along the way and spot if we had asked, which unfortunately led to getting back later than expected but the pictures were will worth it! Highly recommend doing this tour and if you get Klara, you’ll be in great hands!
