Hidden gems, historical and gastronomical delight!

Our excellent tour guide, Klemen, was very knowledgeable, professional, and yet funny. We were surprised by how many places we would have never found if we had would gone on our own! Klemen also treated us with small samples of different foods along the way as a bonus. It was delightful to have him be our guide on the canal cruise also. Highly recommend this tour to everyone.

Your tour operator matters

Having said that … it was a wonderful experience! We started at Postojna Cave, followed by Predjama Castle, Bled Castle and a boat ride to Lake Bled … although the weather was amazing at first, we had a brief rain and thunderstorm in the afternoon which our tour guide handled marvelously. Gordona’s knowledge of history, geography and even geopolitical situation of Slovenia and its people were impressive. Where ir made even more of a difference is in the vehicle. Most tour companies have commercial/cargo vans for groups of up to 8 people. Gordana, from Slovenia Explorer showed up with an ultra comfortable recreational/camper van - it made a huge difference to all. Overall, an amazing experience.

Wonderful Day

The most amazing day, the Caves & Castle are just spectacular as is the Slovenian countryside however the cherry on the top was our guide Luca who shared with us so much of the history of his Country that he is so rightly proud of. Amazing tour.

We just had an amazing tour to Postojna Cave, Predjama Castle, and Piran with our guide, Kolja, from To Do In Slovenia. It was truly a memorable experience exploring this beautiful region of Slovenia, from its spectacular caves and historic castle to the charm of the Slovenian coast. What made the trip even more special was Kolja himself. He was sharing fascinating insights into Slovenia’s history, geography, anthropology, sociology, and culture throughout the journey. His additional tips, recommendations, and advice were greatly appreciated and added tremendous value to our visit. Kolja is knowledgeable, engaging, fun, and an excellent guide and driver. We only wish we had more time to explore other parts of Slovenia with both him and To Do In Slovenia. Thank you for a wonderful experience that made our visit even more meaningful and enjoyable.

Amazing One Day Trip

Our tour guide Alenka did an amazing job on organizing all the activities, view points, toilet break, coffee break and turn on the AC in advance. Her driving skill and professional camera shots were beyond my expectation. An unmissable experience

Started the day with a small climb to see the waterfall which was beautiful. Then went on to lake Bohinj which was very peaceful and tranquil, the reflections on the water are spectacular. The afternoon was spent at lake Bled. You can choose to go to the castle and/or take a pletna boat to the island. We chose to do a full loop of the lake and to climb to the Ojstrica view point which was a slightly challenging but short climb which was well worth it. The guide was excellent throughout the day sharing her knowledge and recommendations.

Excellent guided tour of Lake Bled

This was a lovely half day trip to lake Bled and Bled Castle. Our tour guide and driver had excellent English and was very well Informed. He explained that we could either go to the island in a boat or walk round the lake- there was no time to do both. We chose to go across on a traditional Petra boat which cost 20 euros each. Unfortunately there was no time to have lunch before we headed back. I would advise others to ensure they had a packed lunch. For the tour company this was an excellent trip but could be made even better by extending the free time before heading back to Ljubljana.

Great way to hit all the biggest attractions in a day

Our day with Matej was wonderful. Matej was responsive and punctual in getting our day started and kept us on time and on track through our various stops. We were able to see everything we wanted to in Lake Bled, Predjama Castle, and in Postojna Cave. Throughout the entire trip, Matej also provided us with many stories, history lessons, and geographical facts that allowed us to learn so much. He also gave us great advice for plans we have later on in our travels. This tour with Matej was the perfect way to experience Slovenia as first-time visitors. We look forward to visiting again!

Great guide, great group, great wines.

Went to two very casual settings in the vipava valley and had really great wine, snacks and cheese. We bought a bottle each from both. Burja estate and pasji rep were both owned by wonderful people and we had so much fun as the group was great too. It was just 5 people. Our guide Simona was had so many stories to share. Even though it was raining and there was heavy traffic she took us through the scenic route and managed to get everything done in time. Pickup and drop was a breeze. Definitely recommend.

Excellent Lake Bled excursion

This was an excellent excursion, and the island on the lake was well worth a visit, and the climb up the steps to the church. There wasn't a lot to see once you were there apart from the beautiful church, but the views across the lake in every direction were spectacular. We stopped on the way at Bled Castle, from where we could view the church on the lake, and read some of the history inside the Castle - and were then provided with a very large cream cake! The journey continued, and then we were rowed across the lake to the island and church, and this was also a very nice experience. I must also say that our guide Matt, although very young, was a mine of information about the places we saw on the way, as well as Lake Bled itself, and about the history of Slovenia. HE was excellent too!
