Your guide will have the badge of certified tour guide and the sign with your name. The guide will be in the reception area of the hotel or outside near the hotel at the main entrance.

A Beautiful Evening

Alenka gave us the true experience of being with a loving Slovenian family. Her son Luka picked us up at our hotel and drove us to their home while telling us about their country along the way. The food and wine were exceptional. We made dessert together. A beautiful evening.

It was a Sunday and it’s a rest day but upon being canceled last minute by another irresponsible tour offering culinary experience (Island of cooking Ljubljana - please do not book with them, it was booked a month ago and he came a day before saying that he saw the wrong schedule so be prepared to be cancelled by this irresponsible cook who blocks you on WhatsApp too), Alenka went the extra mile to offer the tour despite being her grandson’s birthday! She brought me around the old centre and I ate some traditional foods before we went to her home and she whipped up some simple dinner with the traditional strucklji. It was impressive seeing how traditional recipes were handed down and made with precision and love. Of course, I saw her lovely grandchildren too! She drove me back to the hotel and told me to contact her if I have any issues. It was an experience into the life of the locals which I think is priceless! Not to mention, there were great views of the alps on the way to her home.

Wonderful cooking experience in Ljubljana

I was picked up at my hotel in Ljubljana and brought to s house about 15 minutes outside of Ljubljana . The experience was wonderful Cooking traditional food , learning about the area, the history and just talking food! Friendly, fun and clean.
