What are people saying about Kyoto

Great Kyoto experience!
This was a great way to learn more about traditional tea culture, plus with the added fun of wearing a beautiful kimono! It's touristy, yes, but in a fun way where you get to learn about matcha and relish in the beauty of the 120-year-old house. I traveled with my husband, my brother, and my sister-in-law and we all really enjoyed this experience.

Bring a hearty appetite- You are in for a treat.
If you love food and want to learn a little about Japanese culture at the same time I highly recommend this tour. We sampled probably a dozen different dishes over the evening and I guarantee that no one in our group of eight went away hungry at the end of the evening. Our guide Chica was knowledgable and engaging. She made sure we had a thorough understanding of the food we sampled and its significance in the Japanese culture. We toured the Nishiki market and learned about foods we didn't sample as well. We also tasted and learned about different varieties of Sake and how they paired with the food we had. Overall an experience not to miss.

Wonderful experience!!! Our guide Jimmy was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions, not only about food, but about Japan. The places we went to were highly attentive and made us feel very special. Food and sake were great. Highly recommend!!!

The sites and the food were the best!!
You will love this tour and the food was fabulous!! Our meeting point was super simple to get to (we took a local train and when we exited the stun, we were there!). As we waited for other tourists, Terumi, our guide, shared the history of the theater we were standing in front of and the different actors on the stage announcements. As we got started, she explained the sightseeing position of the tour and that we’d follow up with two places to eat dinner. The history of the geisha is fantastic and our Terumi explained the difference between an apprentice and geisha. From the history of Goin and the shrines and temples, the tour was fabulous. The restaurants were places that locals go to and it was so cool to not be in mainstream locations. The food was fabulous and we finished the you’re very full! This was an excellent tour and we recommend it for anyone visiting Kyoto!

Such a great afternoon learning about sake
Our guide Kotaro was so knowledgeable! We walked trough the Sake museum and learned about the Sake brewing, then we proceed to the tasting experience. We had so much fun and feel more confident about choosing our sake! This is a must do tour if you are in the Kyoto area!
Thank you so much Kotaro!

Great way to meet others and experience local bars
Great way to hang out with other people when on a trip. Plus you get to try some local places you would never find without the tour. It was a lot of fun and took the guess work out of where to go. Marisa was helpful too with what places to eat and visit while in Kyoto!

Kyoto Food Tour with Family
Experience was well worth it. We were given a tour around Nishiki Market and surrounding areas. Stopped at some really amazing places for fantastic food. Tiro was a very knowledgeable tour guide who was bilingual and customized the tour to our tastes. Sushi and Waygu at the market were amazing!

Brilliant food tour!
Brilliant food tour! Liz (our guide) was excellent and took us to a good variety of restaurants, allowing us to try a range of traditional foods we wouldn’t perhaps normally have tried. We were with a lovely group of people and we all had a really fun evening!

Kyoto Night Tour
This was fun. Misa was great. She took us to several different restaurants and cuisine did vary which was awesome.
This tour does not skimp on the food we had full meals so you will not leave hungry and definitely will have plenty to taste.
We did the night tour as we wanted to enjoy the lights of Kyoto. It was also raining so that gave everything and extra pop.

My husband and I booked...
My husband and I booked the 9:30 tour with our 6 month old baby. Amy was very helpful and we were super lucky to have no other people book for the same time.
Amy was so knowledgeable and passionate about Kyoto and the market. Plus she had tons of recommendations for activities as well

Outstanding and a Kyoto must!!
This was a wonderful tour. Most famous market in Kyoto. My guide was exceptional, Miku. She was so kind and enthusiastic. The foods and fish market and wagyu were amazing to see. The strawberries and fruits and all the beautiful foods. It was a celebration in a way of all the foods in Kyoto to watch the traditional food stalls. It was illuminating too with festive decor and trading beauty. Lots of action and felt like heart if Kyoto.
We even had great snack and also stop at a cute little place for Wagyu beef. Best highlight of my trip to Kyoto. Did it my first day. It was outstanding! Do not miss.

I enjoyed the class. It...
I enjoyed the class. It was smooth and organized. It was a big class but they have a great teamwork. Explained everything and attentive to everyone. I learned something new. Delicious and healthy recipe. I can make it for sure at home and share it with family and friends.
