Excellent day with Dipesh, so many amazing things to see
If you are reading this then please book this tour as it’s absolutely fantastic and I don’t think you can do so much by yourself. We have visited some amazing sights today and all through it we have learnt so much from Dipesh.
You will see some amazing history and architecture among the way and nothing is rushed, you have time to enjoy and learn. Although you have to travel between sights it’s done in comfort and none of the trips between sights is too long; it’s very nicely paced.
The crematorium was absolutely fascinating and deeply moving to see how death is dealt with by a different culture.
We ended with a late lunch at a rooftop restaurant looking over the final Stupa of the day and the view was incredible as was the food. It was a nice place to take stock of the day and consider what we had seen.
This tour is an absolute must.
This is a great one day tour to immerse yourself in the culture of Nepal.
Puspa my guide was lovely and told me the history behind both towns.Shambhu the driver was very good at navigating some of the bumpy roads lol.
Bhaktapur was much bigger than I expected and full of surprises, I got to see woodworkers chiselling large pieces of wood making a chariot for an upcoming festival. Went to a singing bowl shop where the young lady explained and showed me the benefits of using the bowl to help pain and balance your chakras.
The highlight for me was going to a pottery studio and having a go at making something on the pottery wheel which I finally did with help from one of the guys.
In Panuati we went to Sarinas homestay where she cooked the best food I have had on my holiday. This woman is No 1 in Nepal in my eyes and it is worth the trip to Panuati just to eat her food!
You can stay at her home in Panuati she is part of the Community homestay project. Sarina Sainju #myhomestay
I highly recommend this tour its a great way to get out of Kathmandu and see other places.
Outstanding Guide with Exceptional Professionalism and Flexibility
We had a truly wonderful experience and are very grateful to our guide. He was always attentive and thoughtful, taking the time to answer our questions clearly and professionally.
When one destination changed unexpectedly, he proactively adjusted the schedule and smoothly replaced it with an alternative. The transition was seamless, and our experience was not affected. His ability to adapt quickly and handle changes confidently was impressive.
He was highly responsible and serious about the itinerary. His explanations were detailed and engaging, covering history, culture, and local stories that made each stop meaningful. He managed time efficiently, cared for everyone in the group, and paid close attention to details.
Overall, the trip was well organized and enjoyable thanks to his professionalism and dedication. We highly recommend him.
Our helicopter tour of Mount Everest was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience—absolutely incredible from start to finish. Zero regrets. If you’re considering it, spend the money. It’s worth every penny.
Communication before we arrived was excellent, and everything was seamlessly organized, including hotel pickup and drop-off. We felt safe and comfortable the entire time, and the crew was professional and reassuring throughout the flight.
We stopped at lukla Airport to refuel. We had a great breakfast at Everest view hotel. The highlight was being able to individualize our trip with a stop at Gokyo Lake. The views were beyond anything we could have imagined.
Very interesting experience about visiting the temple and watch people who passed away and get burned here, full of respect and blessings. With me Ananta shared lots of stories and info about the place, people and what they are doing, a very great tour guide!
This is a great tour to experience local Nepal. Our guide Madan was excellent and the driver was great. We didn’t get to see the sunset but it was still an awesome tour. Please note however that you should be able to walk up and down a number of stairs. The hike was not difficult but the stairs might be challenging for some
The view of the Himalayas depends on the weather. The day we went the weather was good. We had a really great view of the mountains. Our guide was able to point out various peaks, including Everest.
The second half of the tour was interesting. Our guide was good and very friendly. We are glad we took the tour.
This was one of the best day trips I’ve done. Amazing, immersive experience and my guide Shishir was awesome. Sunrise, traditional Nepalese breakfast if you would like to try and an amazing hike. I loved it. Highly recommended if you have a day to explore.
Everyone gets a window seat. Port has the best view going and starboard on the return. Maybe starboard is best? The aircraft turns to port as you pass Everest. So maybe starboard is a little closer to the mountain than port considering the aircraft turns toward the mountain.
We chose the three course meal. You had three menu options to choose from. We made an chapata egg roll where we made the dough ourselves. It was delicious. We made a chicken curry with Dahl on the side and chocolate momos( so delicious). The instructors were friendly and did a great job teaching us how to cook Nepalese cuisine. A fun way to spend our last evening in Kathmandu!
After you’re done sightseeing in Kathmandu, take some time to explore the surrounding Kathmandu valley. Some Kathmandu day trips head to Bhaktapur to explore an ancient capital and shop for thangkas and local pottery, while others wake up early for the sunrise in Dhulikhel or Nagarkot and then go for a hike in the countryside. If you want to get close to the mountains in a short amount of time, take a scenic flight or helicopter ride from Kathmandu airport, with your camera at the ready for brilliant views of the Himalayas.
