Mahmoud was GREAT. Friendly, attentive, and warm. The tour started sharp on time, car was clean, and gave us plenty of time in Petra. Started 0730 and was back in Amman by 1700. I recommend everyone to do this tour with Mahmoud.

We had a great day touring Petra in Feb2026. We booked through Trip Advisor. I think it's the one titled Full Day Trip to Petra. We purchased the package which included the Petra tickets and saved some time upon arrival. Our driver Khalil was very nice with a nice car and helped us secure a great guide upon arrival. The guide's name is Wasfi and we highly recommend him. His cost was about $70USD. His excellent knowledge and explanation of what we saw enhanced our trip and understanding of the depth and history of Petra and its surroundings. We skipped the Monastery due to lack of time and it seemed to us that to fully do it all, you need to spend two days there. We did see a nice IHG hotel at Petra so if we go back that could be an option. The drive from Amman is about 3 hours and seemed to take forever so bring something to do in the car. There is not much to see along the drive but the vast desert is quite something to behold.

We booked a trip from Anmman to Petra. The driver kept in contact with by text so he picked us up from the hotel.
Petra is a three hour drive we had a comfort stop half way. On arrival at Petra our driver allowed us as much time as we needed and just to text him when we wanted to be picked up. This enhanced the trip as we were not clock watching all day as you can never be sure how long it takes walking back up the hill
The journey back was very similar to that going. Also I had accidentally left a cable in the car and it was returned to the hotel without any fuss. Our driver was Mahmoud and was excellent

Anees drove us to Petra from Amman for the day. He is a very good driver and the car was comfortable. But most of all, he is a wonderful human being and we loved talking to him about his country. Highly recommend if you need a driver.

It was a very enjoyable experience. Our driver was Faisal whom in the way to Petra explained to us about Jordan’s history, its current situation, about its economy, and Petra’s history as well. His English is very good and I was able to translate it everything to my family in Spanish. I recommend this experiencia 100%.

I went to Petra from Amman with Ziyah, the experience was perfect, he picked me up on time, told me about Jordan culture during the 3 hours trip, gave some tips for my walk in Petra and on our way back offered me some additional views of the mountains, I definatelly recommend Ziyah for tours in Jordan

Petra is simply spectacular, and is completely worth the drive from Amman.
My driver Mohammed was a gentleman and is a very experienced driver. The drive from Amman is 3 hours however the pleasant conversations with Mohammed made the time pass quickly.
I highly recommend this trip.

Amazing day trip that has been on my bucket list for years. My driver Tariq gave some great suggestions that saved time and allowed me to enjoy Petra even more fully. Note: free shuttle back to the visitor’s center took much longer than expected. It would’ve been faster to walk back through the main path instead of waiting for the shuttle to fill up and take mandatory 15-20 minute breaks for shopping.

An awesome experience! From pick up to drop off Mahmoud was an excellent tour provider. He messaged me via WhatsApp the night before to confirm my early morning pick up, and off we went! He shared so many interesting and historical details about Jordan on the drive to Petra, making sure I understood the areas we were driving through. His pride in Jordan really shone through. He communicated everything I needed to know for my solo journey in Petra, and how to contact him when I was ready to leave. The transfer to Petra from Amman and back is smooth and pleasant.
It’s a long drive but the vehicle is spacious with WiFi, water and juice is provided and a comfort stop of half way is helpful.
The driver communicated well and was very polite and helpful throughout our journey even answering my in laws continuous questions.
I would definitely recommend this service.

If you’re planning this trip, I highly recommend requesting Saada as your driver. He was one of the kindest people we’ve met—extremely knowledgeable and ensured a smooth and enjoyable journey.
Saada went above and beyond in so many ways. We wanted to add a drive to the Dead Sea and an evening tour of Amman, and he made it all happen seamlessly. Even with a packed itinerary, everything felt perfectly paced and never rushed.
I’ve been on many guided tours, but this was truly one of the best experiences ever. Highly recommended!

Driver was on time professional , vehicle was clean and roomy. Picked this tour because it gave a full 4 hours at Petra others only showed 3 hours which would’ve given us enough time to reach Monastery and enjoy sights on the way.

A visit to Petra is a must for everyone once in their lives. It is a magnificent representation of archeological history as it was part of the Silk Route traders over 2000 years ago. The driver and guide Mahmoud Zihili was full of enticing info and stories that made the day trip memorable. Ask for him!

Booked a tour upon landing in Amman to go see Petra and Wadi Rum. The tour operator was prompt in communicating exact pick up and drop off times at my hotel. The drive to Petra from Amman began with the driver giving me a detailed history lesson on Jordan and many of the sites I was to see. My driver Mahmoud, immediately made me feel at peace as he pointed out numerous hidden gems on the drive to Petra. I was so impressed with the level of service, I hired Mahmoud for the rest of my travels. Excellent, personable service, that I would highly recommend to anyone who wants an exceptional experience in Jordan.
