St. Simons Island is almost exactly the same size as Manhattan, but instead of skyscrapers, it has live oaks, and instead of eight million people, it has 6,000 years of layered history. On this audio driving tour, you'll trace the island's story from Indigenous shell rings to World War II submarine attacks. The tour starts at the Pier Village parking lot, beside the old fishing docks. From here, you'll drive past the St. Simons Lighthouse, built in 1872 on the footprint of an earlier light whose Confederate-hidden Fresnel lens has never been found, and along the coast where German U-boats torpedoed American oil tankers just offshore in 1942. Along the way, you'll hear the story of Igbo Landing on Dunbar Creek, where a group of West Africans chose defiance over enslavement in 1803. The tour ends back at Neptune Park by the pier, named for Neptune Small, a man born into slavery on Retreat Plantation whose name now marks the land he eventually owned.

Amazing Dolphin Tour & Excellent Guides!

We decided to spend a week on Jekyll Island for Labor Day and thought a dolphin tour would be a fun addition to our trip, and it definitely did not disappoint! The tour guides were excellent from beginning to end. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience enjoyable. We were lucky enough to see around 15 dolphins throughout the tour, which was absolutely amazing! At one point, the water started getting pretty choppy. Our guide made the decision to turn the boat around rather than continue farther out, putting everyone’s safety first. We really appreciated that because it showed that they cared more about keeping their passengers safe than simply completing the planned route. And it actually worked out in our favor! Once we turned around and headed back, we ended up seeing even MORE dolphins. It was such a beautiful experience watching them swimming and coming up out of the water. The dolphin tour ended up being one of the highlights of our Labor Day week on Jekyll Island. Great guides, plenty of dolphins, beautiful views, and most importantly, a crew that took our safety seriously. We would definitely recommend this experience to anyone visiting Jekyll Island!

Such a great afternoon!

Francesca was the perfect tour guide. She quickly made us feel at welcome the minute we got into the car and took the time to get to know us, which led to us having a brilliant and comfortable tour. Her knowledge and passion for both Atlanta, Stranger Things and the wider cultural experience was clear to see, which meant she was able to give us a fully well rounded tour of the city and its heritage as well as a brilliant guide to the filming locations in the show. We throughly enjoyed the tour and would recommend it and Francesca as a guide to anyone considering this tour or others!

Awesome time spent

My guide was Chris and he was absolutely amazing and extremely nice. Definitely knew what spots to hit. Some spots I wanted to see were anything marvel and the walking dead and I got to see so many of those. Definitely showed me some other parts of Atlanta that were awesome to see as well. Definitely had a good time.

Phenomenal! Just amazing!!!!

Our guide Francesca was phenomenal! She was beyond knowledgeable about the all things Walking Dead. As a super fan myself it was awesome sharing perspectives of the show with each other and seeing all the sites! She went above my expectations with pulling up different scenes on her phone to coincide with where we were on our tour. The tour itself as a super fan was amazing. Just seeing and hearing all that went into producing the scenes was great. We had lunch at Nic and Norman's and it was delicious. Afterwords had coffee and walked through Woodbury and it was just all surreal. We also checked out the Woodsbury shop where there were props from the show and cast members that signed the walls, and we grabbed some souvenirs there. Great great stuff! 10/10 would recommend to anyone who loves this show as much as myself! And I cross my fingers when you book this tour you get Francesca!

Great day out winery tour

Our driver Darlene was kind, patient and funny, and made sure we had the best time on our trip. The first winery Serenity was our favourite as the wines better suited our European palettes but we were pleased to go to the Cottage as well as it was in such a beautiful setting. We found a great bar in Helen, which was a little away from the main square. All in all a great day out.

Best way to see Savannah

Bill was a wonderful tour guide with lots of interesting stories to tell about the sites we visited. He let me get out to take pictures whenever I wanted so I was able to get up close to many of the historic sites. All in all, it was a very pleasurable experience. We really got a feel for the city .

A Memorable Exploration of Atlanta's Black History

The entire experience was incredibly enlightening. It was a pleasure to witness in person sights I had only seen on television. Our driver, Henry, showcased extensive knowledge of Atlanta's Black history, making it feel as though we had stepped back in time. Comics and Movies. What could be better?

This tour was worth every penny. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about the film industry. We visited so many Atlanta MCU filming locations I lost count. My partner is more versed in the MCU world than I but our guide helped me visualize all the scenes I couldn’t remember with movie clips. It is amazing just how many ATL landmarks immortalized in these films. I highly recommend this tour to locals and visitors.
