Gus was an excellent...
Gus was an excellent driver who stopped to show us sights along the way to our destination. Murphy was our excellent hiking guide who told us bits of history along the way and kept us entertained. Our hike was stunning, uncrowded and views unbelievable! So nice to skip the crowded visitors center and fees!

Fantastic Tour!!
You can’t go wrong spending the day with Michael on this tour! My sister and I had a fantastic day riding through Galway and the little towns and countryside as well as historic stops along the way. Michael was extremely knowledgeable, fun and brought the history to life. It may seem like a long day, but it flew by. The bus was very clean and comfortable as well. Highly recommend his tour!

Great tour of Connemara from Galway
This tour of Connemara from Galway was great. Sean was very easy to communicate with and coordinate things. Our driver Christian was great! Very informative about Irish history and shared very interesting information on the tour. He was super friendly and gave us a great tour of the region, putting together a perfect itinerary for what we were looking for. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a Connemara tour from Galway.

Book this now!
This was an AMAZING experience - definitely a highlight of our trip to Ireland. Initially, I wasn't sure about booking a private tour, but this experience was worth every penny and more. We saw SO much in one day - and we were so impressed with our driver and guide (Bogdan). He was knowledgeable, helpful, professional - and really tailored the tour to make sure we got the most out of it. He also was experienced and knew how to make sure we timed things so we weren't in crowds (which was nice) and he gave us such a great history lesson. Plus, he was patient and accommodating with lots of stops and great photos along the way.

Fantastic tour from start...
Fantastic tour from start to finish. Our guide was knowledgeable and personable, with a few worthwhile stops on the way out and back. The time at the cliffs was perfectly paced, long enough to take them in (even in the fog) but not so long that it dragged, and the lunch spot was a great pick.

An incredible journey through history, culture and landscape with an experienced and knowledgeable guide!
My guided tour of the beautiful Connemara region was superb and thoroughly enjoyable in all respects. As a professional historian and avid traveler with a strong interest and passion for Irish history, culture and language, this incredible day in Seamus’ bus was the highlight of my July 2026 visit to Ireland.
I have studied Irish language and history in depth for years, and one of my primary goals for my stay was to experience the Gaeltacht and Connemara region in a vivid, memorable and enjoyable way. This fascinating eight-hour exploration of the rich history, landscape and culture of Connemara excelled in all respects. Seamus is a most friendly, enthusiastic and charismatic tour guide and driver. From the very beginning of our tour, he captivated the group with entertaining, humorous and educational stories and anecdotes of the long, rich Celtic history of this stunning region. My hopes for the tour were excelled in every way – there was never a dull moment on the tour, as Seamus engaged us with valuable and insightful historical, cultural, and geographic information throughout the day. I learned fascinating information on the folklore of the region, important historical connections between Connemara, Europe and the wider world, and the traditional beliefs, ways of life and forms of ecological, agricultural, and social sustenance of the region’s resilient people. Not only did I have the privilege of visiting breathtaking villages, landscapes, national parks, coastal ways and rugged mountains, thanks to Seamus I learned a significant amount about all of them. I had the opportunity to practice my Irish language skills with both Seamus and friendly local people and merchants.
The highlight of the tour were two free hours to hike the spectacular coastal region of Connemara National Park. I had a very enjoyable and physically rigorous hike to the top of the Red Diamond hiking trail, which provided breathtaking views of the surrounding region, valleys, towns and dramatic Atlantic coast. It was most enjoyable to visit an interactive sheep farm, bog and peat area, Ireland’s fjords, and Irish-speaking towns. Thanks to this tour, I am eager to return to Connemara in the future, and to stay deep in the heartland of the Gaeltacht. Seamus is one of the best tour guides and drivers I have had the honor of experiencing a full summer’s day with, in one of my most beloved countries. He is a perfect gentleman, witty and helpful, and this day will be a highlight of an intensive two-month tour of Europe. Seamus is an excellent, engaged and mindful driver, taking a large and varied group through the unique geography, mountain twists and turns of Ireland’s rugged west coast; he can effortlessly multi-task by not only driving well and safely, but also remaining engaged with diverse questions and interests, and through entertaining and informing myself and many others with hours of stories, historical triumphs and tragedies, and practical tips and advice on what to see and do in the Connemara and Galway regions. Highly recommended and a well-deserved A+++! Go raith math agat, a cara Seamus!

⭐ One of the Highlights of Our Ireland Trip
A must-do tour in Ireland, especially for the breathtaking views of the Cliffs of Moher from the Atlantic Ocean. Our guide, Phil, (Wild Atlantic Tours)was outstanding—not only did he explain the significance of the places we visited, but he also shared fascinating insights into Ireland's language, culture, and history during the drive. The tour was very well organized.
We left Galway at 9:00 AM, reached Doolin around 11:00 AM, and boarded the ferry. The weather was sunny and pleasant, and the sea was calm, making for a smooth crossing. After reading other reviews, I came prepared with motion sickness tablets and ginger chews, but fortunately didn't need either.
We arrived at Inis Oirr around 11:30 AM. Visitors could explore the island on foot, by bicycle, or by horse-drawn carriage. We chose the horse-drawn carriage, which took us around the island with stops at the shipwreck and the castle. The driver dropped us near the castle, and although there was a short uphill walk to the ruins, it was quite manageable. After spending some time taking photos, we walked back to the ferry terminal in about 10 minutes along a paved road. There were several restaurants near the terminal, making it easy to grab a quick lunch.
The ferry departed around 1:45 PM for the highlight of the tour—the Cliffs of Moher. Seeing the cliffs from the sea was simply unforgettable. With puffins flying around the towering cliffs, the scenery was spectacular. After cruising along the cliffs for about 30 minutes, we returned to Doolin around 3:00 PM. The ferry had multiple passenger decks, restrooms, a small café, and felt very safe throughout the journey.
The coach then took us to the Cliffs of Moher Visitor Centre, arriving around 3:30 PM. There were several cafés, gift shops, and plenty of vegetarian food options. A short walk brought us to the cliff-top viewing area, where we enjoyed a completely different perspective of the cliffs. While both views were impressive, my personal favorite was the view from the water.
We left the cliffs around 4:30 PM and returned to Galway via the scenic coastal road, passing numerous castles along the way. We stopped briefly for coffee—this is the place to try Irish coffee if you're interested, although I wasn't particularly impressed. We arrived back in Galway around 7:00 PM after an exciting and memorable day.
Overall, this was one of the best tours of our Ireland trip and one I would highly recommend.

Incredible Aran Islands Experience – A Trip Highlight
This was by far my favorite experience in Ireland. The Aran Islands felt like stepping into another world—so unique, beautiful, and unlike anywhere else we visited. We loved biking around the island, taking in the incredible views, and learning about the history of the people, landmarks, and landscape.
The scone experience was a wonderful touch, and getting to speak with island locals about life on the island made the day even more special and authentic.
A quick note: the ferry ride can be quite rough, so anyone prone to seasickness should come prepared. That said, it was absolutely worth it. One of the best and most memorable days of our vacation. Highly recommend!

A fun and educational tour
This was a great tour. Our guide kept us fully informed about the areas we traveled through, its history and geography. Our choice was to visit Kylemore Abbey and the three hours allocated to that was plenty of time to tour the abbey. He made plenty of stops for picture taking. I would recommend this tour, it was well worth the full day of exploring.

The Cliffs of Moher with a Surprise Chocolate Stop
We had a great day with Alan. The main objective was the Cliffs of Moher and traveling along the Wild Atlantic Way with castles and lots of scenery. So… the weather wasn’t ideal but Alan knew how to make the best of it! We made a surprise detour and stopped by the Hazel Mountain Chocolate Factory. This is an absolute must see. A personalized tour and tasting with all-natural ingredients. Incredible. The Cliffs of Moher were awe-inspiring. The weather was rough and so was the North Atlantic. Something to experience for sure!

Kerry was warm and...
Kerry was warm and friendly and took us on a lovely walking tour of Galway where we sampled delicious desserts, whiskey, food and cheeses. She was knowledgeable and welcoming. The others in our tour were fun and by the end of the tour we all agreed eating and gathering together was a terrific recipe for cultural exchange and building friendships

Wonderful experience
We loved visiting the cliffs from the sea. Very different perspective. Gerry our driver was absolutely wonderful. Told great stories and jokes. Sang us some songs and told us lots of history. I was there with 3 of my sisters and one brother. My brother had never been to Ireland before so it was a novel experience for him. My sisters and I have been to Ireland many times but this was a very good experience for us. Would definitely recommend this tour to everyone!
