What are people saying about Dubrovnik

If you like GoT, must do this tour
We wanted a tour to guide us through the old town + something on Games of Thrones, and the tour gave us exactly that! Plus our guide, Ivo, was super friendly. He also filled the tour with his own experience as a “dornish” during some filming in Dubrovnik. 1.5h around the Old Town without fun and some fun facts about GoT. Top!
The only problem was the beat… 17:00h in end of July was really Nottingham everyone.

Darko’s GOT Tour of Dubrovnik rocks!
Darko was an excellent tour guide! He took great care of the group on a hot day making sure we walked in the shade and had access to plenty of water. We loved that this tour was a balanced blend of both Dubrovnik history and Game of Thrones storytelling. Darko also had a fun set of stories to tell us about his own acting career in Dubrovnik complete with photos. He has a great sense of humor and we would highly recommend taking a tour with him. We had a lot of fun. It was an excellent way to see the old city of Dubrovnik in just a few hours.

Recommended for GOT fans
This is for GOT fans. The heat and humidity are bearable because if you’re a fan of the show, you’d appreciate Branko and his enthusiasm for the tour. Walking the streets of Old Town, climbing a lot of steps, going with or against the crowd of cruisers is not for the faint of heart. But it’s fun to walk around and see the locations that evoke so many memories and emotions you’ve invested in your favorite characters/season/episode/show.
Bring sunscreen, hat, water bottle ( refillable with very good water fountains all around), and comfortable walking shoes.
I wish there were later tours available in the summer for better weather but I understand the EU has a better work-life balance so midday tour it is for the day visitor.

Outstanding - Gorun is the BEST tour guide
The tour guide, Gorun, was outstanding. He knows so much history and was so informative throughout the tour. He is very attentive, making sure that everybody is following him, and he clearly enjoyed answering questions and talking about the old city. Really one of the best tour guides we’ve ever had in terms of depth of knowledge.

Excellent tour in Dubrovnik
The city walls tour was one of my favorite experiences while in Dubrovnik. It was neat to get to walk all around and get the incredible views of the city from various points along the wall. Davor was our tour guide, and he was terrific at explaining the history of the city and what we were seeing along the walls. Certainly do this tour while staying in Dubrovnik.

Dubrovnik excursion
Great tour of Dubrovnik and the local area. We had half a day in a van tour, with a walking tour too. Unfortunately we were supposed to do the walking tour in the morning, but for some reason we ended up doing that in the afternoon instead. It was very hot and crowded when walking in the afternoon. Other than that, it was a great experience, the van driver was informative and a good driver. The lady walking tour guide was difficult to hear in the crowds of tourists in the afternoon.
However, we had a wonderful experience in Dubrovnik.

Do the combo tour!
Both experiences were fantastic and loved the combo. Do the walls early in the morning as it gets hot. There are a lot of steps but manageable. Bring a hat or umbrella for some shade and a fan. Even early morning in July it was hot. Our tour guide for the walls was very engaging and gave lots of good information. For the Old Town, our guide had studied law and history and was a wealth of information. There was a good break in between for us to grab lunch.

Relaxing and Beautiful Day Exploring the Elafiti Islands
We had a wonderful time on the full-day Elafiti Islands tour from Dubrovnik. The boat was comfortable, the crew was friendly and organized, and everything ran on schedule. Each island had its own unique charm, with plenty of time to explore, relax, or enjoy the beautiful scenery. The lunch served on board was fresh and enjoyable, and the overall pace of the trip was just right—not rushed but with enough time to experience each stop.
For future travelers, I'd recommend bringing comfortable walking shoes, swimwear, sunscreen, a hat, and some cash or a credit card for drinks, snacks, or souvenirs. If you plan to swim, don't forget a towel. Overall, it was a relaxing and memorable way to experience the stunning Elafiti Islands, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Dubrovnik.special

Great guide, amazing views. A lot of stairs.
Davor was a great guide for the history of Dubrovnik and the walls! I would highly recommend doing this while you are here. This activity is best during the morning or later afternoon. I wouldn’t recommend small children go on a guided tour here. Also, I’m sure it says but a ticket for the wall is not included. I recommend getting the Dubrovnik city pass instead of a ticket just for the wall.

Definitely worth it!
This tour had the perfect amount of history mixed with some fun GOT spots! Ivan was funny and incredibly knowledge, we had a lot of fun with him! The length was just right especially for a hot day and we were glad to only have a small group as you will see giant GOT tour groups go by! Was worth it for sure!

Excellent food and history tour
This tour was a perfect blend of food and history of the city. The food was delicious! Our guide Anna was very knowledgeable about the city, provided perfect explanation of the food and wine. She was very pleasant. We saw parts of the city we hadn’t found on our own which made it exciting! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to learn more about Dubrovnik and the local food traditions!!

We had an excellent...
We had an excellent experience with our Dubrovnik tour guide, Kim. What really set her apart was that she was born and raised in Dubrovnik, which brought so much depth to the tour. She was able to share firsthand knowledge of the city’s history while also giving thoughtful insight into what life is like there today, including the current cultural and social climate.
Beyond the history, she was incredibly helpful in offering practical advice for tourists—what to do, what to avoid, and how to make the most of our time in the city without falling into common tourist traps. Her guidance felt honest, current, and very well-informed.
Her restaurant recommendations were also outstanding and ended up being some of our favorite meals of the entire trip. We especially loved the pizza at Tabasco Pizzeria, the gelato from Peppino’s Gelato, and the cheese baruk at Holy Baruk.
She was a true professional—warm, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about her city. We would highly recommend her to anyone visiting Dubrovnik.
