What are people saying about Chiang Mai

Doi Inthanon tour Review
Fun and adventurous way to see the national park. The weather was not very good when we got to the top, but obviously nothing the guide or tour could do about it. We opted for the 1.45 hour hike which was fun to see a couple of waterfalls and rice paddy’s, while also learning about the area from a Karen village local. The waterfalls were a highlight as we couldn’t really see the pagoda. The food for lunch was fine, and the free bananas were a plus. They give you lots of water. Be prepared for it to be very cold and rainy (we thought base layers and a poncho were the best because you could wear it over a backpack). Our guide Pam was very helpful and the driver Tom always drove safely. It was a small group and we thought it was generally enjoyable aside from the weather.

Had an amazing time...
Had an amazing time visiting this elephant sanctuary! They keep the groups small, which makes the experience feel much more personal and gives you plenty of opportunities to learn about each elephant, their rescue stories, and the care they receive. It was clear how passionate the staff is about the well-being of the elephants. Our guide Ford was incredible and helped to make the experience incredible.

Delish Food, Fun Times, This is a Must
This was one of our favorite activities. Our guide/teacher Lizzy was sooo funny and sweet. We learned about the herbs and vegetables in the garden, chose our own dishes to make which is nice because I’m vegetarian and my partner is not, smashed up our own curries, and ate our meals with people from literally around the world, and genuinely had a great time.

A lovely day trip to see...
A lovely day trip to see the elephants and have a great walk/hike through lovely rice fields. Doi Inthanon was cloudy the day we went, but still was a nice view, and the guide gave our group the option to skip for more time with the elephants if we didn’t want the cloudy vista. The sanctuary felt ethical and the animals seemed well treated and safe, and that made this a highlight of our stay!

Shrouded by jungle-clad mountains and home to some of Thailand’s best food and most impressive temples, Chiang Mai delivers culture, history, and nature in equal measure. Chaing Mai tours let you experience the best of the Rose of the North: Spend the day at an elephant sanctuary, climb to a golden temple atop Thailand’s highest peak in Doi Inthanon National Park, and master local specialties such as khao soi (curry noodle soup) during a cooking class. Plus, day trips to nearby Chiang Rai reveal even more architectural masterpieces.
