There we have 1,5 hours for a coffee and a walk around the alleys of the village. If you are looking for a hike combining one of the three options: beach, wine or olive oil tasting, this is the perfect tour for you! Imbros gorge is located south of Lefka Ori mountains and take around 3 hours to cross. The hike starts from Imbros village. We will drop you off at the entrance, then pick you up at the end. Our driver will not hike with you. Its around 2 hours driving each way. Most of the hike is in the shade with a narrow trail that cannot be lost. It's good to have a sufficient supply of water and hat. Imbros gorge is a small version of Samaria gorge. The scenery is breathtaking, ideal for nature lovers and wildlife watchers. We believe its the best hike for children from 10 years old and half the size of demanding Samaria gorge. After Imbros we could visit Frangokastello beach or do a wine or olive oil tour/tasting for an hour. You can choose one option. Imbros is the second most popular gorge in Crete, running parallel to the Samaria Gorge. It takes about 2 to 3 hours to hike, with the narrowest part just 1.60 meters wide. The first half-hour descends through wildflower meadows before narrowing dramatically. Legend has it that two brothers banished from Imbros in Turkey settled here, naming the gorge. Outstanding private shuttle service

We reserved a 5-hour shuttle service from the cruise ship port in Chania to Falassarna Beach. Our driver, Angela, picked us up on time and was a fantastic driver, offering lots of local history during our drive to the beach. After arriving at the beach and reserving a cabana we realized we had forgotten a cell phone and the included snorkel gear in the van. Angela was very helpful and brought the phone and gear down to us at the beach. After a couple hours we departed, and on our way back to the port we stopped at a roadside store to buy local olive oil and snacks. Angela gave us lots of advice on time management and food options. Angela then drove us to a restaurant in a less crowded neighborhood, where we had a delicious Crete lunch with many grilled meats. Overall it was a great start to our Mediterranean vacation.

Lovely day out.

Wonderful day out. Very organised and on time. Provided beach mats, umbrellas, and a cooler with snack and refreshments. Visited two very beautiful beaches with plenty of time to relax and swim and then a great little stop at the world’s oldest olive tree. Eleni and kostas were great. Very smooth journey and very informative.

Get to Know Crete With George!!

We went on this private tour as a family and enjoyed every minute. George was very polite and answered our endless questions about his culture, family life, and the island he grew up on. History & Incredible tours!

Christine & her team blew this tour out of the park for us! We enjoyed learning all about Chania & Crete. The private tour through Knossos was a huge plus & enjoyable, I’m glad we set up the agenda to go there before the museum because the history was so helpful! We opted to go on an olive oil mill tour and it was so interesting to taste & learn more about the process! This team was so easy & flexible to work with and after the tour Christine gave us delicious local spots near our hotel to try. If we visit Chania again, we will be using SeaByBus again!

Wonderful! Would book again!

Stella was wonderful! She picked us up right on time and took us to Elafonisi beach which was beautiful! She did a great job getting us there early before it go too crowded. We bought chairs with umbrellas and enjoyed the day. We walked back to the vehicle where she took us to a local restaurant in Crete that had amazing food! We loved getting to experience a local meal before getting back on our cruise ship! Would 100% book with her again!!

Great Trip with Beautiful Views

We had a wonderful experience on this hike. Although it’s officially rated as “easy,” it didn’t feel that way for everyone in our group. Our guide, Nikos, explained that the difficulty rating comes from the official mountain authorities, not the travel agencies. Personally, I found it easy, but some people did struggle a bit. The trail is downhill all the way, so if you have knee problems, it might not be as easy as advertised. The scenery is absolutely beautiful, but you do need to keep your eyes on the path while walking, so make sure to stop now and then to enjoy the views. Regular trainers were fine for me, but walking boots might be a better choice for extra support. Our guide, Nikos, was fantastic - informative, funny and very attentive. After the hike, we even went for a refreshing swim while Nikos kindly went back to help struggling hikers. Overall, it was a great experience. Everything was well organised, clearly explained and we felt very well looked after. Highly recommend!

This was a great...

This was a great experience and more than what we expected. A bus picked us up from Rethymno and we drove out to Elafonssi beach. It was approximately a 2 hour drive and well worth it. Kostas was a magnificent driver and maneuvered this huge bus through the mountains and Lazarus was a great guide. You get so much more than what you pay for.
