Best cruise excursion to Elafonissi Beach

Best beach experience, warm water, pink sand and secret carve, then end with Venetian harbor at Chania. Our guide even prepare the picnic lunch for us.

Great alternative to a cruise ship excursion

Four of us booked this excursion from the cruise port, and had a great time. Our guide was easy to meet right after exiting the cruise port, and the van was comfortable. At our driver’s suggestion, instead of visiting Elafonissi, we instead opted to visit Falassarna Beach, which was (we understand) far less crowded and where we could count on having umbrellas and lounge chairs without having to fight the summer crowds. I believe this was the right choice, and the beach we wound up with had affordable chairs (7 Euros each) and relatively inexpensive, tasty Greek food options that could be ordered from your beach chair. All in all, Falassarna was beautiful, the drive was easy, and our driver/guide was great. Two small points that didn’t detract from our trip at all, but are worth mentioning: (1) I don’t think paddleboarding was an option, and instead we were offered snorkeling equipment. Not an issue for us because we were more interested in relaxing and swimming than paddleboarding. (2) The tour is “private” in that you aren’t taking any public transportation, but you should anticipate that another group may also be on your tour with you. Not a complaint, just an observation.

Beautiful tour. Fast and pleasant drive to Elafonisi with a stop to the St.Sofia cave. Our hists were very friendly and we had a nice time together. You should mind that due to the restrictions related to the ecological protection of the area, the sunbeds are now a bit far from the deep water. But it is still a fantastic place to visit.

Nice excursion, but not exactly what we expected.

Elafonissi Beach is pretty, but the sand is not nearly as pink as advertised and there is a fairly long walk down to the beach from the parking lot. Also, SUPs are no longer available, and that was one of the main reasons we chose this excursion. Umbrellas and chairs are available. But at an additional cost. the other hand, our guide was accommodating and was willing to go out of his way. The scenery on the way to the beach was beautiful!

Amazing trip to Elafonisi

The trip was wonderful. Even thougb the weather wasn't great, George was wonderful in making sure that we made the most of the good weather and the time we we had. Also took us to a fantastic restaurant, where we had the best Cretan salad and the lamb just melted on the tongue!

I would highly recommend this excursion. I went with my husband and my daughter and it was great experience. Giorgos is very friendly. The van was spacious and comfortable. We liked it so much that we scheduled him for a second day excursion. On the second day, he brought his wife and took us to a very nice beach, left us in a nearby city to explore and then took us to a local restaurant that treated us like family. His wife even got us local tea to take back home and a local dessert for us to try. If you are visiting this area, you have to give them a call. They also have an apartment to rent, do airport transfers, and even car rentals.
