What are people saying about Cape Town

Paul's the best!
We visited Cape Town for just two days as part of our world cruise and weren’t sure what to do to make the most of our time. Booking this tour was the best decision we could have made. We spent a lovely day with Paul and couldn’t have wished for a better guide: friendly, knowledgeable, open-minded, interesting to talk to and listen to, and simply fun to be with. Not to mention that he is a very smooth, sensible and considerate driver. We felt very comfortable and relaxed as Paul took care of everything. He suggested the perfect places to stop and a wonderful restaurant for lunch. He made sure we caught the boat to Seal Island, helped us get tickets as quickly as possible, and always gave us enough time to explore on our own. We never felt rushed and saw so much. The interesting conversations we had in the car were the icing on the cake. We cannot recommend this tour enough. Don’t hesitate — go for it. You won’t regret it.

A Tour I’ll Be Talking About for a Long Time
I can honestly say this tour was one of the highlights of my trip. From the moment it started, everything just felt easy and well thought out, which let me relax and actually enjoy the experience instead of worrying about logistics. What really made it special for me was the guide Candy. She didn’t just share facts—she told stories, added little details, and made each stop feel meaningful. I found myself genuinely engaged the whole time, which doesn’t always happen on tours. It felt less like being guided and more like exploring with someone who truly loves what they do. I also appreciated how balanced the itinerary was. Nothing felt rushed, and there was enough time to take things in, ask questions, or just enjoy the surroundings. The small group made a big difference too. It felt more personal, more relaxed. Overall, this tour really stuck with me. It wasn’t just about seeing places—it was about experiencing them in a way that felt genuine and memorable. I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for something a bit more meaningful than the usual tourist experience. Thanks Candy and our driver Zane.

What a sight.
Wow!!! Oh my goodness. This was incredible. So totally worth it. We got up at 4am and had arranged pick up by our guide. Pick up time depends on when sunrise happens. The walk up was steep but you don’t rush up so it’s doable if you have an ok level of fitness. And the guide stops for photo opportunities and breath catching. The ladders, stirrups and chains are in good order and it’s not too scary. The final section is scrambling over rocks and is a bit challenging but it’s amazing how you are suddenly at the peak. Then you can enjoy your snacks and drink some water while you watch the sunrise. Idrees our guide was so good, very kind and helpful and shared some history of Cape Town and his own history. He also told us of the plants that grow in the area. The walk down was good. My knees coped. It took about an hour and a half to climb up and about an hour to come down. You don’t come backdown the stirrup and chain section. I’m so glad that I did it. It’s a beautiful site. Would recommend. I did see children as young as about 8 years walking up with their parents. And even a baby on his father’s back. Not sure I’d do that…

Do it!!!!
Absolutely worth it! It’s a short ride but felt long enough to get the experience. Highly recommend. The pilots are so kind! PS. Don’t schedule this on your last 1-2 days as the wind determines flight so you may need to reschedule for reasons out of their control!

Cape Town’s coastline, culture, and Table Mountain backdrop make it tempting to stay in the city, but there are a whole host of adventures to be had if you venture out. Whether heading to the Cape of Good Hope or Robben Island, taking a wine tour through Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, or spotting wildlife on safari, it’s all within easy reach. Along with expert guides and entrance fees, many tours include a delicious lunch stop, usually with a view, making Cape Town day trips the ideal way to experience the history, natural wonders, and wildlife reserves of the region.
