What are people saying about Bogotá

Best Bogotanian Day
We booked rent a friend because we wanted a more casual, personalized experience while on a short trip to Bogota. It was easy to book with Viator and we used whats app as well. We can’t say enough about our guide Andre. She was cool, kind, patient and so full of knowledge. Andre cared for our safety and comfort, she even brought a bag with hand wipes, sunscreen and a fruit knife for sharing samples at the market. Andre also shared interesting historic and economic information about Colombia. We learned a lot in informal contextual ways. We enjoyed a coffee tasting in a small cafe and her personal relationship with the barista made everything more fun. Because of her connections we could feel that the people she introduced us to wanted to share their Colombian culture and generosity. We chose to book with a car and it was helpful to explore interesting areas further from city center like an enormous fruit and flower market. Andre used her local knowledge and connections with vendors, gallery and cafes to give us a very unique Bogotanian day. We could not have replicated this day alone. We were able to specify our interest and preference for a female guide. If you do not speak Spanish fluently having a professional guide is very helpful. Encountering an English speaking cafe or shopkeeper was not as common as in more touristy locations. Andre was incredible and I’m go glad we booked with rent a friend! The driver included in the booking (Walter) was kind, friendly and very safe. We were able to leave belongings in the car, explore on foot and meet up with the driver later. I give this experience the highest possible recommendation and specifically to Andrea. We are grateful to have had this opportunity.

Bogota food tour
Nick was our tour guide and he did a fantastic job. Favorite dish was Lechona. Tour lasted almost three hours and you definitely leave very full. Some of the items we tried were snacks and some were full on meals - great variety. Tour was very helpful in learning where to go in the Candelaria neighborhood.

A quick glimpse of Bogota
A good way to learn more about a city especially if you're on limited time is to do a tour. I could have picked any other, but I chose one that's not quite the usual. Gerardo was the perfect guide to tell you stories of how he (an immigrant himself) sees Bogota through the eyes of artists. It was a great way to see Bogota & scheme of ways to come back again one day!

Great time in Bogota
Sergio was our guide and we really enjoyed the tour, he was patiently explaining everything in details for us and answered all of our questions. We really love taking photos every where and he was also waiting for us patiently so we can take our pictures. Highly recommend it.

Bogatá Bike Tour
Fantastic bike tour around Bogatá. David our guide and Manuel our mechanic were great. Super knowledgeable and David was one of the street artists and we saw some of his work. The fruit market tasting and coffee stop trip were great and when we got back to the bike shop we all had a beer and played the local game Tejo. It was the tour that kept on giving, thank you.

Great day out in nature from the city
Had a great time hiking La Chorrera, even in the rain! Luis made sure I was okay and comfortable with the pace/speed at all times and providing information thought the hike and drives. Would really recommend to see some nature if you have the time whilst in Bogotá.

Must see in Columbia
Wow what a wonderful informative and fun adventure day! Our tour guide Nick was so friendly and explained the culture and highlights of the country very well. He was funny and insightful, giving us plenty of time for questions and soaking in the experience. It was just my husband and I and one other couple so the day was personalized and well timed. We took several breaks on the hike and there was a plentiful amount of food and drinks available on the trail. Highly recommend! Amazing waterfalls!

Fun way to learn about Bogotá history, food, and culture
This is a delightful way to learn about Bogotá and it gets into the depth of history of Colombia. The tour guide was excellent-informative, patient, and personable. I really enjoyed learning about the old city and how it has transformed over the past centuries.
Tips: bring a light jacket and an umbrella. It is customary to tip the tour guide if they provided a good experience (but not required at all). Check with your home country customs before buying anything food related to take home.

David was an excellent...
David was an excellent guide and the whole trip went smoothly. Very interesting and worth it, but the tour company’s van had zero shock absorbers and since Bogota roads have serious ruts and pot holes, the drive was extremely uncomfortable. I would not choose this tour provider except they acquire some new-ish vehicles.

Stellar service!!! Would recommend, especially if you don't speak Spanish.
The driver was so kind, understand, and accommodating. He met us at the front and gave clear instructions on how to meet him over Whatsapp (make sure to download it beforehand).
I literlaly have not gotten service like this in America since before the pandemic!!
My friend told me to use this service since it's trustworthy and you won't have to pay a "tourist tax" like he did with other taxis.

Safe, reliable driver who waited for us
Immediately after booking, we received communication from our driver, Luis Felipe with all details of our pick up. He left no room for misshapen; from sending a picture of himself for successful identification, a picture of how my name would be displayed on a tablet (in a distinctive and colorful way), meeting point, etc.
Line at Customs was incredibly long and he waited all this time for no extra charge. It was raining so he not only escorted us from the arrival hall to the airport exit but picked up the car and then came back to retrieve us (more of his time spent only to keep us comfortable and dry).
Traffic from the airport to the hotel was horrible but I practically dozed all the way while my husband received a full hour lecture on Colombia and Bogota history and cultural makeup. All in a safe, comfortable and clean car. Great value too.
