I really enjoyed my experience with my guide, one. I don’t think I would’ve felt near as comfortable traveling through the city by myself without his intimate knowledge and assistance. Highly recommend recommended tour.

Aleja provided the best private tour I have ever done during my travels. Before my arrival in Bogota, the company asked me about my interests, which are in art. Then, Aleja brought me around the historic center to churches and art museums that I would not have found without her guidance. She was so fun to chat with and even brought me to a historical church within the presidential compound, which no tourist would know how to access by themselves. Thank you so much , Aleja!!

Great concept to do what you want but with someone who speaks the language and knows the city and shopping which we loved. Juani picked us up at our hotel then took us shopping, helped translate, hold my bags and give opinions about the fashion, uniqueness and also shopped for emeralds. Juani gave us a great intro into Bogota.

This experience was excellent and exactly what I was looking for! I wish this service existed in every city that I travel to! From the beginning, Caro helped me plan my perfect itinerary over WhatsApp. I booked a 6 hour WITH car tour. Caro helped me narrow down what I was interested in, and perhaps more importantly what I was NOT interested in, and after about a week sent me a personalized schedule. When I ended up adding another person to my tour, they accommodated that without issue. And when my friend and I decided we wanted to switch a couple things around in the schedule, that was handled easily, as well! Caro was great at explaining why particular activities or spots were chosen, and even offered alternatives.
We were met at our hotel by our friendly guide Felipe. He walked with us to a car that had a hired driver. On my tour, we went to Paloquemao market to try a dozen different fruits I'd never even heard of before, arepas, empanadas, 6 different juices, and lechona. Everything was delicious, and I highly recommend visiting this place, though you need to come hungry!
We went to the Gold Museum next, and Felipe was great at guiding us through the museum, explaining the exhibits and highlighting the important pieces along the way.
We next went to Chorro de Quevedo, and tried chicha in a little cafe because my friend wanted me to try it. We also stopped at another delicious cafe for some milhoja, which is my friend's favorite dessert.
We visited Fragmentos (an art gallery commemorating the peace agreement between the Colombian government and the FARC guerillas), where Felipe explained the history of several conflicts in Colombia's history, then led us through some of the art exhibits which were very moving.
Our tour ended near Bolivar Square. Normally, you would get dropped back off at your hotel, but due to how many activities we wanted to squeeze in, we communicated to both Caro and Felipe that we were ok being left away from the hotel if it meant we got to do all the other things we wanted to do.
All in all, this was a perfect way to spend a day in Bogota! The planning leading up to it made it perfectly tailored to me and my friend, and the day of was seamless! Feel free to chat with the organizers like Caro as much as you want to get everything planned out perfectly, as well as to answer any questions or worries you have. For example, they helped me figure out how much cash I should have on hand in order to pay for the multitude of activities that we did.
In general, I would recommend this highly. I would also recommend booking well in advance, so that way there is plenty of time for Zebra Fisgona to communicate with you to chat back and forth about your perfect itinerary. Besides that, someone like Caro would be much better able than me to answer any questions you may have!

This is by far the best way to see Bogota with and through the eyes of a local, who knows the information and loves where they are from. Fully customizable, and over the top dedicated to satisfaction. My experience with Aleja was one that made me sad I needed to leave the country as I would stayed to continue to tour over and over again. Her quick wit and compassion for local humans and animals in the community made me feel right at home. During my stay, I had great communication prior to arriving ease of connection once in country and such a joyful time on my tour . Additionally, my guide Aleja was flexible and able to adjust to accommodate my needs! I absolutely loved Montserrat, la Candelaria art, and the food market, not to mention the delicious food and café ! Rent a friend is the only way to go!!!

We had an absolutely amazing time touring Bogota with Juani! We signed up for the Rent A Local Friend experience, and everything about our interactions with Zebra Fisgona was fantastic, from the initial welcome message, to the crafting of the perfect day in Bogota.
Our tour was perfectly focused on food and we were able to sample fruits, chocolate, coffee, and more all at places and with vendors that we would have never found or experienced by ourselves.
Our day was with Juani was filled with so much fun, laughter, and joy that our only regret is that we booked with them on our last day in Bogota and not our first day. If you are visiting Bogota, do yourself a favor and book with Zebra Fisgona as early in your trip as possible as you will likely want to spend more and more time with them!

This was definitely one of the best tours I have ever been on in all of my years of traveling. The name of the tour says it all. You are not hiring a tour guide, you are renting a friend. Juani was like visiting a friend in Bogota who happens to know the history and all of the places that you would want a friend(Not a tour guide) to show you in their city. We went to the Gold Museum then went to lunch then I asked to her show me some of the unique street art in Bogota. We also stopped at a local farmer's market and then just spent some time talking. If you only do one thing in Bogota, you should hire a friend for the day.

Aleja was an amazing guide and friend for my first day in Bogotá! During our 8 hours we were able to explore so much of the city. Aleja has a wealth of information about the history and culture. We went coffee tasting, biked around the main areas Im staying and visiting. We explored the gold museum, a couple important churches, farmers markets, main historical areas, and parks. We saw some of the street art and had some great local food and drink. It was the perfect introduction to help me get my bearings and to feel more at home in a new city. I cant recommend this experience enough! If youre wanting a highly personalized tour with an incredibly warm and welcoming guide, Aleja’s rent a friend experience will be the perfect choice!

I traveled to Bogota alone for work and wanted to explore but I was nervous to do it alone (I'm a woman). I don't like group tours so I booked this one thanks to the amazing reviews and it did not disappoint. This company is owned by 2 women Ale and Juani and I love that there were options for walking or with a driver. I chose the 6 hour tour with driver. Juani was my point of contact via whatsapp, she answered all of my questions, picked me up on time with the driver and was soooo nice!! The driver was lovely as well.
I had a list of places I wanted to see but welcomed all of her suggestions as well and we had the BEST time! Juani truly made me feel like I was hanging out with a friend and helped me take lots of videos and photos for my social media. She never made me feel like I was annoying which I really appreciate lol. If you're thinking about booking, do not hesitate! You're in good hands. I will never forget this experience. This was an amazing tour! Aleja is a fantastic guide and does a great job making sure you visit and learn about everything that is on your personal list. She will give options to best utilize your time together. I was able to safely visit markets and squares and we even checked out a new local restaurant that was very tasty. She would check in and make sure that she wasn't overwhelming me with history/information and make sure she was providing me with information that was important and interesting to me. This tour was definitely a highlight of my trip to Colombia!

We were looking for a private tour and noticed Alejas from a popular YouTube video of a Bogota tour. We were so happy to find her. Aleja took us to the best locations for empanadas, bunuelos, arepas, juices, coffee and cacao. We also got a education of the different areas of bogota. We visited a world changing museum that educated us on the dark history of Colombian while also showing us the light that is forcing its way through. We are so grateful for that experience. Aleja put Colombia into its proper perspective and landed it a permanent place in my heart. There is no better guide, believe me! Thank you Aleja.

Alejandra was an amazing tour guide and was very informative and energetic. Her vast knowledge of the food and culture was awe-inspiring. Within the limited time, she was able to show us as much as possible. Never met a tour guide as friendly and personable as Alejandra. We definitely plan to come back and would indeed have her take us on our next tour. We felt like we found a friend who made Bogota feel like a home away from home!

This was an amazing introduction to Bogotá. A private tour that was curated to our interests and needs. Juani was our “friend” and she was wonderful. If you come to Bogotá and want to meet an “Insider” , who will show you the secret jams of Bogotá that a normal tourguide will not offer - then hire your own FRIEND.

Juanita and her friend Aleja were very cool and friendly people. We really enjoyed their knowledge of Bogota and the country of Colombia in general. We learned a lot about their local markets, foods, and indigenous people as well as they showed us how to play their national sport of Tejo which was super cool. Juanita offered Aleja to drive us around for more accessible transportation and all we had to pay was for parking, which was not even $20 USD for the whole day(8 hours)!! They took their time with us and gave us options to explore the city and we could tell that they really enjoyed talking about and showcasing their city to others. Also, although we are still in COVID times, they managed to be a great distance all while keeping their masks on at all times around us and others.They were amazing hosts and we would definitely book again if we come back to Colombia. Thank you guys so much for the amazing experience in Bogotá!

Juanita was a excellent tour guide. She tailored the trip to our interests, what we'd experienced in Bogota already, and our future plans. She was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and open during the tour. She also gave us great recommendations for the rest of our trip.
