During this educational yet irreverent and humorous introduction to the dark side of Tokyo, we will see the sites of some of the most gruesome crimes in Tokyo's history, ranging from ones that would get you put in jail for life, and some that would put you in front of a war crimes tribunal. *Note: This tour includes dark/dirty humor and adult language is used. Please come prepared. The tour starts in Tokyo's organized crime capital and red light district, Shinjuku's Kabukicho neighborhood. Here we will learn about gang wars, shocking murders, shirked lovers, and Tokyo's quasi-legal sex industry. From there we will walk to Tokyo's mini-Auschwitz, Toyama Park, a place shrouded in mystery and home to the ghosts of the victims of Unit 731's terrible human experimentation projects. Finally, we will visit Aoyama Cemetery for some good ol' fashioned Japanese ghost stories in the perfect setting for them. We will also visit the grave of Japan's favorite and most loyal dog, Hachiko.

Vietnam is a country that has experienced many wars with France, China, and most famously the Vietnam War. Throughout its history, Vietnam has also stood at the crossroads of conflicts between East and West, shaped by events such as World War II, the Cold War, and the China–Soviet split. Therefore, learning about Vietnamese history also helps you discover an important part of the course of world history. On this tour, you will uncover hidden yet fascinating stories that remain little known—even among many Vietnamese themselves. You will embark on a historical journey that is both sorrowful and heroic, yet deeply engaging, visiting sites where major events truly took place. In particular, you will explore lesser-known locations that even many Hanoi locals rarely notice, such as the Mass Grave, the burial site of victims of the 1945 famine. Here, you will hear the tragic story of the Vietnamese people, when millions lost their lives during this devastating historical famine.

Genocide Museum (S-21 )served as the central hub of a vast prison system throughout the country and was used throughout the period as a secret facility for the detention, interrogation, torture and extermination of those deemed “political enemies” of the regime. Due to a policy of guilt-by-association, at times whole families were detained at the center. Very few inmates were released out of the prison during the years 1975 and 1979. Only 12 former inmates survived the opening of S-21 when Phnom Penh was liberated. Four of them were children. Killing Field between 1975 and 1979 by the Khmer Rouge in perpetrating the Cambodian genocide. Situated about 17 kilometres (11 mi) south of the city centre, it was attached to the Tuol Sleng detention centre. The bodies of 8,895 victims were exhumed from the site after the fall of the khmere Rouge, who would have been executed there—typically with pickaxes to conserve bullets—before being buried in mass graves.
