Overview

Absolutely breathtaking!

Originally, I was wholly prepared to give this experience a very negative review…the Viator info says „20min flight“ and a „6am departure“…in reality, the pick up was at 3:30am and we were only back in the city by noon. I probably never would have signed up knowing this, as I only got back to my hotel around 11:30pm the night before. I also felt super uncomfortable, taking a cab at 3 in the morning, as a lone female traveler, to the departure site, which looked like just some dark corner of the city, not the head office or anything. You also have to be prepared to wait for a long time in the cold until it’s actually your turn. All of that said: it was totally worth it and had I spent more time in Armenia, I would have been tempted to do it again. It is quite a long drive to the take-off location but I get why they go there…The views are breathtaking. That perfect combination of sea, sun and mountains was indescribable. The pilots are very experienced and they adjust their manouvers to the passenger. Personally, I really liked the rollercoaster-like drops and only felt a bit seasick once I had landed. I have been skydiving before and also flown in a microlight (which is similar to the engine paraglider) but this was somehow almost more special. It was a super friendly group and bonus, we were sent stunning footage of the flights a few days later (somehow, I felt sicker watching the whole thing than during the actual flight, haha). Armenia overall is a completely underrated travel destination which should be on every bucket list, but the engine paragliding was the best thing I did on the trip. Thanks again to the whole team and the lovely people on my group!

The best part was flying over 3000ft over Azat Reservoir overlooking the mountain range. There was some heart pounding moments, lots of happy screaming and laughing. I really appreciate the team at Sky Club. Artyom and Hamo were great. Pick up from central location was on time. Download GG app or Yandex to get to the meeting point. It's also great app to use in Armenia since Uber/Lyft not available.
