We are located on Waiheke Island at the Matiatia terminal, inside find our eRide shop, open 9am. Bikes to be returned by 5.30-6pm. We are open 7 days a week. For the full day adventure we reccomend catching the 9am or 10am Fullers ferry or 9:15 Island Direct Ferry to Waiheke from downtown Auckland.

We have rented e-bikes in a lot of places around the world and this was one of our favorites! The bikes were very easy to use. We loved the phone holder and bike bag as not a lot of other places have those included. If you had never e-bikes ridden bikes before or had little experience on regular bikes I might caution this as your first go given the hills and right corners around the island but if you’re up for a little challenge, it’s 1000% worth it! The views are stunning and being able to stop on a whim was awesome! We stopped at Casita Miro - highly recommend!! Next we went to Heke, The Wild, and Batch. We loved them all! The views at Batch are unmatched but the hill to get there is brutal 😂 we would absolutely recommend this adventure!!

We brought along a blanket, towels and swim suits. Don’t forget your H2O. We had a great intro from Javier He got us going on a beautiful trip around the island. Gorgeous bays/beaches. Lovely view points. We enjoyed lunch at Alibi. Great food/drink and vineyard views. Excellent day!

The bikes were good. They did tell me we would be riding mostly on the road and it's not highly traveled by cars. That wasn't true and the street bike lanes were very thin. Other than that, it was a fun day!

Waiheke is a beautiful island and ebikes are a great way to explore it. I would definitely rent from this company again. The employees are very friendly, kind, knowledgeable, helpful and professional.

We have rented bikes around the world and our experience with e-bike Waiheke was the best we’ve ever had. The bikes were in excellent condition. They had lots of staff available to ensure a quick and seamless check-in, that we were properly fitted for our bikes, and had what we need for an enjoyable day. Their self guided app had all the details you needed to have a wonderful day on the island at your own pace. And if all that wasn’t enough, I left my sandals next to my bike at checkout and did not realize it until I was on the ferry back to Auckland.They went above and beyond and a staff member personally brought them on the next ferry so I could get them back! Wonderful overall experience and a great way to see the island.

After we were given the bikes at the Ferry terminal, my wife was not comfortable riding the bikes on the roads so she decided not to ride. They refunded us the money in three days.

Would highly recommend. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and provided great ideas to explore the Island and places to eat. Bikes were in good condition, decent charge for a 4-hour round trip, and handled the hills well. All in all a great day out!

Absolutely the BEST way to visit Waiheke Island! Don't waste your time on a bus with a bunch of strangers. Go at your own pace with lots of stops and no other people in your group! The Bikes have plenty of zip to help get up the hills and the battery easily lasted the 5 hours we had the bikes. They provided the helmet, pannier (storage) and bike lock. They gave great directions and this was our FAVORITE day in New Zealand. No hurry, no hassle. We went to several beaches, got ice cream (twice!) and had lunch and a wine tasting along the way. HIGHLY recommend renting e-bikes and getting in the fresh air to enjoy the sights!

Bikes were very under powered had to walk a lot as couldn’t make it up the hills. (Side note-we own electric bikes that could be used successfully at waiheke island)
Wife fell off as a result and broke her arm.
Only had the bikes for a short time as a result.
Definitely would not recommend.

This is a must tour it’s simply the best way to experience the beautiful island. The bikes are first class. The briefing you get before you go off is the best I’ve experienced when hiring a bike.

The island is beautiful and worth a day trip from Auckland. We had a great lunch at Heke Distillery, a nice find since it had started to rain and it was the first place to take cover. The ebikes are pedal assist, not full power ebikes, so just be aware it does take a little more effort. It is quite hilly. Very nice and helpful owners/staff. Thoroughly enjoyed the day.

Very easy to pick up the bikes when you get off the ferry. The bikes are on the wharf right as you get off. Bikes have front suspension and are very easy to use. If you plan on, going up to batch winery, save some of your battery when you’re going downhill because you’ll need to put it at the highest level and still pump up the steep incline. The view was worth it. The map is a bit confusing, so double check the names of roads. This is not the operators fault as the roads change names multiple times across the island. We had a great day.

A big shoutout to Eride Waiheke, on the day of our tour, the weather turned to rain storm so we contacted eride and they were glad to move us to the next day. The location is right at the ferry terminal and the bikes are of quality, they also provided paneer and phone holder. Note: you will need to navigate with traffic on small road and should be familiar with biking for this to be enjoyable

Was my first time using an ebike and man it was worth it to get up the hills! You can't really get far on a normal bike.
HOWEVER please note it was quite scary going down hill, the ebikes got up to 30 km/hr and was scary using the brakes in fear of flipping over the handlebars! Company should warn you of the down hill speeds and advise how to ride the downhills safely in a controlled manner.
David was really friendly and helpful, and was great to have a saddlebag to carry my stuff.
The bike chain fell off mid ride and shortly after the gear axle broke mid cycle. However the company was fast in coming to pick up the broken bike and give us a replacement on the spot.
Book early to avoid missing out!

Thanks for tthe review, during our induction of riding our ebikes we explain the 101 of bike riding, its a big download for the inexperinced, thus after a couple of kms most people get it well, the ebikes do 32km hour before the motor stops, with the island moto "Slow Down Your Here" keep safe! thanks

Bikes hire shop was in the Ferry Terminal making it very convenient. Excellent customer service from start the finish. We did a practice ride on the e-bikes prior to starting our trip, which if you have never rode an e-bike it is a must. Our tour operator gave us many tips on using the e-bikes, main sights to see, wineries, and where to eat. Best way to tour the island and get some exercise (many hills). Lovely day on Waiheke.
