Departure Point: From your hotel. Your guide will meet you at your hotel or any other convenient location previously agreed. Dates: See Availability Return point: Back to your hotel or as previously agreed. We meet our Guest at their hotel at the beginning of the tour and drop them back to the hotel after the tour. However for the captioned hotels (1)Tree of Life (2) Ramada at Katesar, Ramnagar we will send the car & driver to the hotel. Your guide will meet you at a decided point in the city since both the hotels are far away from the city.

This tour included a good selection of ‘must do’ Varanasi activities (except the Golden Temple) and the tour operator rearranged the tour to suit the location of my accomodation. Visiting Sarnath, the morning and evening boat rides and the bazaar tour were highlights. The guide was knowledgable and happy to answer my questions, and the tour was well paced. The visit to the ‘weavers colony’ (which I was excited about) was underwhelming and disappointing. Also, while it wasn’t an issue for me several things on the itinerary were missed - no rickshaw ride and only one ‘row boat’ ride on the river (the other was a motor boat). However I recommend this tour for those wanting to experience Varanasi in two days, especially if you are travelling solo.

Addressing your concerns regarding the tour with us below:
1. There was a power cut at the Weaver's district during your visit and it is beyond anybody's control. Moreover, it's an authentic cluster where 250 weaver's families live. Unlike Tourist Emporiums, these weaver's do not have a generator for power back up. You could have asked your guide to take you there again. He would have happily revisited.
2. Rickshaw ride may or may not be taken during the Bazaar walk. It depends on the traffic restrictions with cars in the old city on any given day (depending upon the rush of pilgrims).
3. Rowing boat ride is not possible during the evening boat ride because dozens of Large two deck boats (with loads of passengers) operate in the evening and there is always a chance of accident with a rowing boat (which has happened in the past in Varanasi).

This was an excellent two day tour. Our guide, Kunal, was superb. He was very good about communicating with us before the tour & rearranged our sightseeing schedule to be more efficient due to the location of our hotel so we wouldn’t be wasting time in transit. We saw so many amazing things that we wouldn’t have been able to see without him. He was always good at getting us through the lines & attentive to our needs & interests. You can’t go wrong with Kunal guiding you!

Kunal was a fantastic guide for the 2 day tour! He has a depth of knowledge of Varanasi second to none and showed me a massive amount of the city in just two days. I was staying in the old city so the first day consisted of more of the local markets and sights near by with the second day having more travel to the notable sites. The food tour was incredible and was one of the highlights of my trip. Really cannot recommend this tour enough!

Fantastic tour all round, my partner and I thoroughly enjoyed Kunal’s company. His enthusiasm and obvious passion for Varanasi and its stories made the tour one to remember. Varanasi is an incredibly intense place and I believe that we would not have been able to enjoy it on our own had it not been for Kunal’s guidance.
Our personal highlights were the sunrise boat trip and incredible hotel lunch. If you have a sensitive stomach I would recommend being cautious of some of the street food, but apart from that we tried some incredible meals on this tour.
When booking a hotel, I would recommend discussing with Kunal first. We stayed in the centre and with hindsight would definitely have preferred to stay further out.
Overall would definitely recommend this tour!

Varanasi is a very interesting and complex place with many facets and without the very knowledgable assistance of an organisation like ‘Experience Varanasi’ we would certainly not have had such a memorable experience during our short visit.
