The morning boat ride was a memorable experience. Incredibly peaceful and serene, one gets the full vibe of Varanasi on the trip.

This was an excellent tour. Seeing the Ganges at Dawn was a magical experience. We were there on a festival day and our guide was excellent in negotiating all of the crowds. He was also extremely accommodating in taking us to see a step well, which was not on the normal tour.

This was the first bad tour I’ve had between two trips to India.
The guide could not have seemed less interested in giving the tour, often having to be prompted with questions and asked to explain things. He often was on his phone or while speaking to me, more interested at looking at other things going on around us, or at saying hello to his fellow tour guide friends we saw. Probably the thing I didn’t appreciate the most was often while walking the incredibly busy streets of Varanasi, the guide would slip off up front of me through the crowd and have no regard for where I was - often stuck far behind him in a crowd or in traffic, while he just continued walking leaving me behind.
I’d recommend finding a different tour that still offers a private boat ride even if it is more expensive. Alternatively, wait until you arrive and have your hotel organise it.

In Dec and Jan there is heavy fog and visibility on the river early in the morning is extremely poor. The tour operator was happy to take our money knowing that the experience would be terrible. Don't waste your money. Next day we walked along the ghats ourselves later in the day and saw everything for free. You can do a lovely walk from the main temple ghat to Assi ghats.

Vinod met us at our hotel at 5:15am and we had a really nice morning. Vinod is gentle and polite toward us, but also fellow Indian Pilgrims. This opened up an opportunity to engage with a group who were interested in speaking to us. Vinod helped with communication and we enjoyed tea with these strangers. Little things like this may not have happened without Vinod being so respectful and patient.
Boat ride was terrific. We had a great experience. Thanks Vinod.

This tour was simply amazing and Chanchal Maurya was a great guide. He is very knowledgeable and helpful. We got to see and learn a lot about Varanasi. A must do tour in Varanasi. If you get Chanchal as your tour guide you are guaranteed to have an excellent experience.

Our tour guide Vinod was excellent - he had great knowledge of the area. Sunrise on the boat was very peaceful and touring the alleyways on foot afterwards was a great bonus. Vinod was more than happy to show us more but unfortunately we were pushed for time.

This was one of my favorite experiences in Varanasi - peaceful and beautiful moments on the historical Ganges. The photos and memories are amazing. The guide, Indrajeet Kumar, was professional and personable. He educated about the ghats and the significance of the Ganges and Varanasi in Indian culture. His stories helped bring the experience to life. He gave helpful advice about other activities and experiences too. I particularly liked the row boat over a motor boat - I was able to see the entire stretch of ghats from different views. The communication and pick up / drop off was superb. I highly recommend - don’t miss this experience!

We had a great time on this tour. The guide did a good job of educating us on the area and it was very interesting seeing the ghats from the river in the morning. We also did an evening tour with the same company and the contrast between morning and evening was very neat to see. There was a temple/mosque that we tried to see, but were unable as we didn't bring our passports. You may wish to ask your guide about this before starting the day as well, so you are properly prepared. As a first time visitor to Varanasi, I would recommend this tour to others as well.

We had a private SUNSET TOUR.The communication on the run up to the trip was amazing. We met our Guide Saban. His English was fantastic and he was very informative and got us great seats for the ceremony afterwards. The Aarti Boat trip is not to be missed when in Varanasi. Highly recommended!

Het begon met een boottocht over de Ganges, die eigenlijk gepland was bij zonsopgang. Het werd iets later vanwege de mist. Een vriendelijke professionele Indiase gids die vertelde over de Indiase culturen, over de betekenis van de crematies in Varanasi, de geschiedenis en tips en wat te doen en niet te doen. Van Shivali ghat tot Manikarnika ghat gevaren en daar aan land gegaan. Samen een stuk door Varanasi gelopen en een chai gedronken. Op ons verzoek zijn we daar gebleven en zijn zelf rond gaan lopen. ’s Avonds hebben we op advies van onze gids Indrajeet Kumar de Aarti bijgewoond bij Dasaswamedh Ghat. Bijzonder sfeervol en spectaculair.
