Kevin is a great tour guide. We enjoyed the small group tour. By the end everyone was a friend. The wineries we visited were all very good. The settings, service and wines were all excellent. The first stop at Backyard winery included a wonderful charcuterie board...plenty of food for all. Our last stop was at Chaberton Estates winery, the oldest in Frazier Valley. The wines were great and our host, Ed, was fantastic.

Oh my gosh, what a beautiful tour we had! 🍷🍷 great wineries and wonderful group of people we shared this tour with. ❤️ Our driver Caroline was amazing!! I will definitely be referring friends to do this tour if they are ever in the Vancouver area.

Taste different wines.

KarenH_S, Aug 2023
When I think of a wine tour, I think of being guided through the fields with explanations of the different vines and how they grow. Visiting the cellars, again with explanations of the process from grape to wine. This tour only took you to the wineries to taste their wines with a short description. The wineries were very nice and some had good wines. Our driver was very cheerful and pleasant . The van was comfortable. This was a wine tasting not a wine tour.

Our family and friends thoroughly enjoyed the Fraser Valley wine tour. Tim was our guide and he did an excellent job. He’s very knowledgeable and personable and made the trip very special. We were able to go to three wineries and at one of the wineries they served a delicious light lunch charcuterie. We have all decided we would enjoy going back and seeing more of Vancouver and doing the wine tour again. Thank you for a great experience. The Good, Bad, & Ugly….

James_M, May 2023
I’m not sure where all of the “5 star reviews” are coming from for this tour. It really makes me question not only the tour company but also Viator. I will most likely not use either of them in the future. My wife and I have both done tours before of this type in other places around the world and they were much more enjoyable. Good: The tour guide was the best part. Mike was very friendly and for the most part interacted with people and guided things along. He did a great job. The Bad: The three vineyards we went to, were spread out very far with long drives in between. I don’t know if it’s because they are more favorable towards visitors, but ultimately it was ALOT of car ride for something that logistically could have been more organized. In that length of time you really could have easily hit 4 or 5 vineyards and had more value vs driving 30 mins to 60 mins between stops. Our tour had 16 people. Way too many. 8 of those were a wedding party that was obnoxiously LOUD the ENTIRE time. And when I say loud, I mean: “Oh my ____! Did they really teach you THAT in sex ed?!! ____!!!”. So yes, between them screaming out cuss words to be heard over the van and the high pitched squealing and laughing and dialogue it was insane. No filter, no consideration for others.. just a bunch of young women acting worse than sorority girls. I’m not opposed to people having fun.. it’s a friendly vineyard tour. But they were over the top. The Ugly: I mentioned logistics of the tour… but first time trip to Vancouver- there was very little direction as to where the van was meeting. “Across the street from the Lions Pub” is not sufficient. All of the other people going found us looking as they were looking and we banded together to decipher where we were suppose to be. The van that pulled up was ridiculous. Dirty white van with no identification, falling apart and the AC not working. Yeah.. I’m sorry, but what we paid for a ticket.. do better. All of the other tour companies had sleek vans pull up and load people around us. This was like watching a 1990’s jalopy pull up in a line of sleek 2023 tour vans. Ridiculous. When we figured out that was the van- everyone was hesitant getting in. It looked sketchy. Truly- for what we paid- we really could have rented a smooth SUV and driven to each location in 1/2 the time and saved money. The vineyards were “ok”. I wouldn’t say the best in Vancouver. Again, not really sure why those got picked. Very little info given on Vancouver considering all of the people were from other places. All in all- if you’re interested in going to this sort of thing.. rent a car and drive. Or go with a company that does a private tour for 8 or less people. This was a hot mess.

very enjoyable

We went on off season, December 1, 2019. It was still very enjoyable. We went to 3 wineries and 1 cidery with a group of 5 from around the world. Guide Scott made it 6 in total and he was very informative and personable He also showed us pictures of a vineyard in full bloom from a tour in the early fall. Our tour was during the time of pruning and dormancy, so it was nice to have examples of the times with all the color. Wines were all drinkable and some very fine. Lunch was a Charcuterie Board fill with very delicious cheeses, meats, jam, some fruit, marinated veggies plus assortment of crackers. At one winery we sampled their jams and were so impressed. This a must do tour for those that have the time and enjoy wine.

Great wine tour from Vancouver

Stephen_H, Oct 2019
We arrived a day early for our cruise in Vancouver. We saw this option for a wine tour and had no real knowledge of the great wine region in BC. What a treat! We met our driver near Canada Place and joined 6 others and set off on our Sunday tour! It was just over an hour drive to Fraser Valley. Our first stop was at Township 7. We had 3 tastings at each stop and all the wines were great. At each stop we learned more about the Okanagan region and the varietals they offer. Fraser Valley is a small region but most vineyards there have larger operations in the Okanagan area. Our next stop was Backyard Vineyard and we had some meat and cheese to pair with our tastings. Next it was on to Vista Doro. This was unique in that we had our tasting in an old 1920's milking barn that was now home to a nesting Bard owl family. We had great tasting here topped of with Doro 2008 which was a delightful wine to finish the day. As we started home, our guide showed us a small concrete marker.and he told us that the marker was the US border. We drove down the road for a bit and the US was on one side and we were staying in Canada. We had a little extra time and we made a stop at a place that was a Farmers Market and a tasting room. We got a bonus tasting stop. We drove through downtown and made our way back to where we started. We had a great time and would gladly do it again!

This was a great tour. Brandon was a lot of fun as a tour guide. The wineries they took us to were nice. Two were better than one other but overall a fun time. We provided input to Brandon who said he would take it back to his company. Backyard Wines provided a great charcuterie board. The vans were comfortable! I would recommend this tour company!

Great Day in Wine Country

Andrey S, Apr 2019
There were only four people on this tour. Our driver/guide Charles was very knowledgeable and laid back. We were supposed to visit three wineries, but we were a bit ahead of schedule, so Charles took us to another winery for some great wine tasting. We were given a short tour of the winery at our first stop which followed by wine tasting accompanied by charcuterie board. At the other three wineries we just did wine tasting. Charles also took us along the US/Canadian border and told us interesting stories along the way. If you like wine, this tour is for you.

Great experience!!

Ruchira S, Oct 2018
We 9 friends had a blast. We were celebrating my birthday. Very first winery had a music group who all sang happy birthday to me. We ran into paparazzi and they took some amazing picture of us. Wine was great!! People were nice. Weather was beautiful and we could have spent more time there.2nd winery food was excellent. They did cheese and crackers plates for us vegetarians . The server could have been a little bit more cheery. She was a bit impatient at times when we were taking our time to finish the wines.3rd place had outstanding views. The server was awesome and very knowledgeable. It was nice to meet a future sommelier. Very good wines!! Wish we had more time there. Our host David was amazing. He was very patient, all smiles, informative and cheerful!! We all loved him.

Trip to Fraser Valley

Steve K, Jul 2018
Had a great time with our guide Scott. He knows Vancouver very well as well as the wineries. He has connections with the winery staffs and they were prepared and were expecting us. He is also flexible too since some changes to the itinerary were made during our outing. The group was great to be with as well. Pick up location and drop off was perfect for those staying in the downtown area of Vancouver. Good trip and would do it again. I would recommend this trip.
