The tour said "Poutine".. however, there was no poutine on offer for tasting... that was a little disappointing. Our tour guide was moderately informative. We walked about some of the oldest areas of Vancouver, and ate at some pretty good places. However, this was very BAD value for money. In total we ate at 6 places, tasty stuff all, but when I did the math, this tour was wildly overpriced. If I had known where we were going to go to eat, I could have done the same with at a fraction of the cost of the tour.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, Ravi. We’re glad you enjoyed the tastings and that you found the food itself quite good. Exploring some of Vancouver’s oldest neighborhoods and discovering local favorites is something many of our guests enjoy about this tour.
We followed up with your guide to look into this feedback further. She mentioned that you had brought up the poutine listing, and she explained that this dish had recently been discontinued after the restaurant removed it from their menu. Viator’s description had not yet been updated at the time of your booking, which understandably led to the confusion. She shared that you both took it in good humor, seemed to enjoy the rest of the experience, and even left a tip at the end.
As for the other points raised, she noted that the group was engaged throughout the walk, and no concerns were expressed during the tour regarding the commentary or the value. The cost for your experience was fully aligned with our standard tour operations in Vancouver, which include curated stops, a variety of tastings, and insights into the city’s food culture.
That said, we’ve already flagged the Viator listing to ensure the menu reflects our current offerings and to avoid any future confusion. We’ll also continue working closely with our guides and our partners, to enhance the overall experience.

Booked this tour specifically after this company’s food tour in Mexico City which was amazing. This tour fell flat and was disappointing. We didn’t follow what’s advertised and left the tour feeling hungry-which for the time and money didn’t feel worth it. We split the porchetta sandwich, had a krack bar, Scottish egg, taco, two pieces of a sushi roll and a sliver of a chocolate bar. There was no poutine and no secret dish. For those that upgraded to the drink package-the bartender wasn’t even there so they just got a beer. The value just wasn’t there this city.

Our eating experience was enhanced by our tour guide Amir. He provided relevant information about the area of the tour (mainly Gastown), the restaurants and the food. At the end of the tour he also helped people with local transportation - he was professional, friendly and interesting. We savored a variety of food - all delicious. It was hard to choice our favorites. Great group, great food, great guide.
