Knowledgeable, Insightful, and a Great Experience

Andy is an amazing guide with lots of knowledge of the Tenerife island! He is a highly experienced hiker and took us through the forest, up the mountain with views of Teide and the Masca Valley, and to a pine forest! Every hike is different with Andy, so be ready for surprises! Not only did I get a wonderful hike, I also made friends with Andy and another hiker, Fiona! We got to taste and smell natural herbs along the way!

We started our day meeting up Helen at our hotel lobby which is quite a distance from the starting point of our hike. Very kind of her. Due to a traffic jam along TF1, we reached our starting point 45 mins late. The rest of the group, 7 of them, were very kind to wait for our family of four. The hike was moderate but manageable. It is important to wear proper hiking shoes with good grip (high heels and slippers are definitely no-no). The views from the hike are amazing. We can see the Teide from afar. Our lunch picnic spot was unusual but certainly interesting. It is a lunch with an awesome view. Andy and Helen were great guides. Helen in particular was encouraging the slightly slower group members while Andy, in his good old British humor, was entertaining the group with his funny jokes. Andy was very informative about the flora and fauna in the surrounding. This was a great outing for my family and we will definitely recommend it to anybody who is keen on the great outdoors. Tenerife is more than just beach and pubs.

Great scenery and hike

Andy was a knowledgeable guide and took time out to give the group info about the island and the flies and fauna we saw. The hike was at a nice pace and the views were stunning. Nice to interact with like-minded hikers on the trip. Recommended. I will be going on more of his tours when I come back.
