This tour is a genius idea. You can go at your own pace instead of trailing behind the group, you can actually hear the guide’s voice and you can stop when you feel like it, have a glass of Prosecco and a siesta and then pick-up where you left off. You can spend as much time as you want finding the salamander on the UL cornice or fast forward through the things that aren’t as thrilling. It’s a perfect tour, I loved it and wish more tours like this were available! Saw everything and learned so much. Thanks again!

Informative and great value!
My friend and I originally had booked a free walking tour of Syracuse/Ortigia (with another company) but it was cancelled due to not enough participants signing up. At the last minute, I found this as an alternative and I am so glad that I did. While all of the information provided in this self-guided audio tour is available online and you can use Google Maps to navigate on your own, having the navigation embedded in the tour webpage made the experience seamless.
I would book this type of tour for other cities in the future!

overall, the narration was interesting, when it comes to specific monuments especially the buildings it can be confusing. The buildings tend to look alike and the photographs do not help to tell one from the other. The general introduction to the town and storytelling could be improved.

I like it that it was self-paced and give me a history of the island and the context of it- I recommended it to every traveller I met

I found the audio guide difficult to download. It was read by an AI voice. I would not purchase again.

Hello, thank you for your review!
Actually, there is nothing to download since you access through a link and an individual password so I'm not 100% that you used the correct app 😅.

My first time & was very surprised at the easy and information. was just enough at each stop. The only thing is the pages seems to overlap & I jad to keep scrolling to see the info I wanted. :(

Good value. Found some interesting places. Would buy again for another area. This box is far too long.

We thoroughly enjoyed exploring at our own pace but under the expert and informative guidance of the online tour guide. It was easy to use and we had a wonderful time exploring Ortigia

We really enjoyed this walking tour. It was interactive with a map that took us around Ortigia in a thoughtful way and gave both audio and written overviews of each stop. Perfect for me and my 92 year old father! Walk about 5 minutes and then stop for a site. Many of the streets were shady so that made the walk even more enjoyable.

Very affordable and informative. We could go at our own pace. Should paid for the guide sooner and downloaded it at home, because of insufficient internet bandwidth on our cruise. One of our members had to read the information aloud.

Great self guided tour to help you get around and tell you about the history. Good idea if you want a bit of structure to your day and would like to know more.

The narrative of each pint of interest was excellent. However, my connection would occasionally crash for no reason. Instead of holding my phone to my ear, as if making a call, I held my ear to the phone speaker instead. This reduced the times the app crashed.
Secondly, it would help if you included directions and distance to the next point of interest. I would have to switch to Google maps to find the next site before returning to your app. That is a lot of time spent looking at your phone instead of the point of interest.
Other than those two technical issues, I learned a lot about Ortigia.

Easy to use. Good description of the sites to visit. In two of which there was no sound, but in the same way you could read and also you could help with the photos. We can't find the image of the
Virgin looking up at the sky. Look into it!

The audio tour of Ortigia is well thought out and takes into account most of the peninsula's sights, it is particularly suitable for solo travellers and for people who do not feel like walking in large groups through the narrow streets in the goose march. You can visit everything at your own pace, stop for a coffee or visit the suggested sights directly on site (links to opening hours and tickets). The ancient sights outside Ortigia in Syracuse City are also described in great detail, but in my opinion you cannot do this in one day. I have therefore taken screenshots of the descriptions for later. Highly recommended and inexpensive tour!

Well-made guide allows you to see all the most important points of Ortigia, just the time spent explaining the various stages

Web-based audio guide, gives you the map of the route and explanations of about 2 min per attraction. Not only for Ortigia but also for Syracuse.
He guided us on our walk through the city without the intensity of a classic tour guide

Highly recommended. It gives you the freedom to walk around the city and get lost while listening to some history. It doesn't force you to submit to schedules.

We can't find a guided free walking tour and this option allowed us to visit Syracuse in a couple of hours on our own. Well explained and with recommendations on food. Recommended.

Todo muy bien explicado, muy práctico, y con el orden que tu quieras seguir.
Además muy fácil de usar, con un mapa y las explicaciones de cada lugar.
