Great way to see Sydney and likely one of the best ways to go across the Sydney Harbor Bridge. Loved it.
Excellent tour around Sydney with Jake. The e bikes make this physically very manageable even with some of the bigger hills. Jake’s got a great knowledge of Sydney and could answer many of the questions our group through his way. The Bluetooth helmets were a key feature… we could all chat as we biked rather than shouting over our shoulders.
Great tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the area.
Kinda wished we had more opportunity to tourists photos but overall was a great tour.
When we clicked on the listed address it took us to a location 1 street away. We were able to locate the correct location by way of a local resident.
Jake was great! He knows the city really well. The park was unexpectedly closed to bikes but he was able to quickly pivot and take us another way.
This is an absolute must. Jake was friendly, fun and so knowledgeable. We had such a great time! A must do when in Sydney
Jake was an excellent guide. His bikes were in great shape. After introductions and instructions, Jake had each of us take a test ride around the block making sure we were comfortable on the bikes. Riding on the opposite side of the street took a bit of getting used to for some of us. Our helmets had blue tooth so we could hear him clearly along the way which was a game changer! We rode through the city to a park, Darling Bay, around Barangaroo, through the Rocks, across the bridge and back, up to the Opera House view & park then back to his place. I'm sure there was more I missed saying. Along the way we made stops and talked about the area and history. Jake was a wealth of information. He was very safety conscious talking to us along our ride about being careful of this and that and was what coming as well as information on what we were seeing. We also stopped for a called in lunch half way through. Jake wasn't rushed, answered all questions and was very protective of us. I highly recommend his tour.
We were only in Sydney for a few days and this was the perfect way to see the city! Great info on the history and current goings on of the city and our lunch stop was fabulous!
Jake was very knowledgeable in Sydney history, and he knew how to keep the group safe when navigating potential hazards.
The helmets' built-in speakers let us hear him throughout the tour.
Great way to see Sydney. 👍👍👍
Wonderful way to see Sydney. Was very well designed tour and felt prepared and comfortable on the bikes.
Jake was awesome! I was a better rider at the end of the tour thanks to his help. The tour was super interesting and fun!
Good bikes and emphasis on safety. You need to be comfortable riding around pedestrians and other bikes. Great overview of Sydney to start off visiting the City.
Hi after 45 minutes introducing himself and chatting to the group we still had not started the tour, so we left.
Highly recommend this tour led by Jake. He safely guided our group of ten Americans through the very busy downtown to see all the main spots. It was a fun way to meet other friendly solo visitors. The e-bikes and Bluetooth helmets worked well and I felt much more comfortable being in this group than trying to navigate the city alone.
We were novices on E bikes, and our tour guide, Jake, did a fantastic job of ensuring that we knew how to operate them safely. This was a wonderful way to see Sydney and get a little bit of exercise. Thank you. Jake was a terrific guy, and even gave us a longer tour than we paid for. All around a very good experience.
Very good tour for experienced riders but I rated it a 4-star because even though the tour was great and informative, it is not for everyone. You should be confident riding an e-bike on streets and on the left side of the road and dodging people. If you think you might be nervous with that, this is not for you.
Jake was very good as a tour operator. He made sure that all tour members were comfortable with the e-bikes before we embarked on our tour! Jake reviewed all the rules of the road. This was especially important as being from Canada traffic flow was a bit of an “issue”. The use of helmets for communication was an excellent idea however the quality of the system was not as good as I would have liked however for the most part it worked well enough! Jake was well versed in his historical Sydney tour! We highly recommend this tour!
This was a great way to see Sydney on my first day. Jake is an excellent guide. He’s very knowledgeable. The bikes were in good condition and fun to ride. Going over the Sydney Harbour Bridge was a highlight of the tour. Highly recommend.
Physically challenging. Tour guide Jake was amazing. Safety conscious, specific with directions, made sure all were comfortable.
The bike trip is a great experience - but expect to spend more than 5 hours doing it. The first hour is safety, set-up, bike testing, introductions, etc. We have done bike tours before with a much quicker preliminary preamble so am wondering if this could be tightened up a bit so more time could be spent at specific sights or finishing earlier.
Jake is very passionate about biking and his city and it shows. We loved hearing about the history of the various neighbourhoods and getting to ride over the famous “coat hangar” bridge.
We appreciated the attempt to expedite our lunch stop by preordering, but some people have legitimate dietary issues that weren’t really given time or choice to consider.
While my review seems a bit negative, we just offer a few suggestions to make a great experience even better.
I would recommend anyone with some experience riding a bike to join this tour to see parts of Sydney you may never experience otherwise.

Thanks for the feedback.
The set up time is crucial for safety and to make sure each rider has the skill
Level to ride our e-bikes. The larger the group the longer it can take as each person needs a chance to test ride properly. Especially if they are used fo riding or driving on the right hand side of the road. I believe safety is more important than speed. We take pride myself on the care taken for tour participants.
The lunch break is always super popular so I’m not sure why the negative feedback. Our Greek/Australian restaurant has amazing food and I believe I offered about ten different options that would be prepared for us. Including gluten free salads. Sometimes we sit down for lunch but for your tour we took the food to Marinawi cove and some of us had a swim or ate by the water. I don’t believe any other tour in Sydney offers that. But we can try to improve on the process.
In terms of the length of the tour it’s advertised at 6 hours. 10 to 4pm. We were back by 3.20 so I’m not sure the issue either the timeframe.
Anyway we do appreciate the feedback but hopefully this clarifies our take on it for future readers.
Thanks!
Great tour taking us to all the key Sydney landmarks including crossing the Sydney bridge and cycling round the Opera House. Jake was a great guide giving everyone lots of interesting information on the history of Sydney. Highly recommend.
Jake, the owner and guide, was very personable and knowledgeable. However, be aware of the shortcomings we experienced:
1) tour was advertised for 3 to 4 hours, but ran 6 hours causing scheduling stresses for the remainder of the day
2) the Bluetooth helmets didn’t work reliably, with the result being a game of “follow the leader” with no audio. (Jake acknowledges this is a known Bluetooth helmet problem with groups of 5 or more. However, our tour had 10 people!)
3) unbeknownst to us our tour day was Australia Day, and the streets were packed with pedestrians and vehicles. Jake had to revise the route on the fly, and without working audio, it became challenging navigating through the congestion causing both myself and my wife anxiety. We felt we should have been advised beforehand of the holiday impacts. (We would have scheduled a different day)
I would have given fewer stars if it was not for Jake himself.

Wow. That’s a first.
Sorry Mark. All I can say.
The helmets are generally very popular as the reviews indicate and not much I can do about the exiting day that is Australia Day. Of course I’ll try to factor that in next time but most tour participants are happy to “roll with it” as they say.
But thanks for the honest feedback. For groups of 7 or more we know set the helmets omnidirectional which basically means less interference. Just me or the other guides talking and riders listening. Sweet as.
Jake
We, a family of four, ad a great day on the e`bike looking at several sights. Jake was a super historyteller, and guide.
The tour around the Sydney harbor was AWESOME. Guide, Jake, was very knowledgable and the bikes were in great condition. This is the one tour that you should do - if this is your type of thing
My family and I had a great time on the e-Bike tour of Sydney. Jake was a friendly and uber professional guide. He was extremely patient and accomodating when helping my daughter learn to use an e-bike for the first time. Jake was highly knowledge and shared an lot of information about the history that shaped the city. Very enjoyable experience.
What a great morning and well into the afternoons ride. Jake our guide was excellent with a good knowledge of the local area and always put safety first giving all rider an easy relaxing and enjoyable day. The E bikes were very good quality very smooth and very comfortable. Highly recommend this activity as a way of seeing lots in a short space of time.
Six of us had a fun bike ride in Sydney! The course was very well laid out and the e-bikes were in great condition. Our guide was very knowledgeable of the area, and happily shared information. Would definitely do again!
What a great 5 hours. Jake was so enthusiastic and chatty. The bikes are great, easy to ride and it’s not tiring, so don’t worry. Jake ensured we were well prepared before we left the base due to the mix of riding abilities. The helmets give you great comms most of the time. The group of 8 of us stayed together with Jake leading the way, giving directions and stopping to share local tips, knowledge and history. The lunch stop was spot on, a lovely Greek cafe half way around. Most choices 16 AUD. great value.
We loved our e-bike experience! Jake was very knowledgeable and patient! We only had one full day in the city, and this was an awesome way to cover as much territory as possible! We would highly recommend this tour!
We highly recommend doing Jake’s tour at the very start of your Sydney trip – it gives you such a rich understanding of the city that you’ll appreciate everything else even more.
Jake is an outstanding guide: articulate, genuinely caring, insightful, and safety is clearly his top priority. He shared the Indigenous history and culture with real passion and respect, bringing stories to life that we’d never have discovered on our own.
The e-bikes were perfect – we covered an impressive amount of ground without ever feeling rushed, stopping for water breaks, quick history lessons, photo moments, or simply to regroup and take it all in. The lunch at that fantastic little Greek café was an unexpected highlight!
Thanks to Jake, we left the tour not just as tourists, but as much better-informed visitors to Australia. We’re already excited to explore more of Sydney and beyond with fresh eyes.
At first: Jake is a very good guide. Second: he knows a lot about Sydney, its past and present history. He took its time to explain. Arran ged lunch at a lovely place and Greek restaurant. E-bikes were good.
All together fantastic.
