Very beautiful day for this trip with gorgeous fall colors. It’s a long drive and Michael was very solicitous of our comfort. We had a beautiful day so the scenery was magnificent.
Response from Host, Oct 2025
Thank you Cheryl for your kind review, Michael loves what he does on the Island.

Long and not terribly interesting drive, no lunch break (though that was expected), good and knowledgeable driver
Response from Host, Oct 2025
Hello Betsy Harrod, I am sorry that the tour you picked didn't add up to your expectations. The Cabot Trail tour is one way up and the same way back. With time constraints, detours and road construction we can't always guarantee lunch breaks.

Very nice drive but very long…of the six hour excursion, five were spent driving. The tour guide was. Excellent …gave us a lot of local information.
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Hello Bob, thank you for your insight about your tour. I will be sure to take notes and let your guide know your input, Robert

Mike was great. So much fun, kinda goofy, very knowledgeable and personable. He was sincerely enthusiastic to be there with us.
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Hello Douglas, thank you for your kind review, Michael loves what he does and will be excited to read your review, Robert

Time not well spent
Too many people on tour
Spent more time on and off
Than sights
Juice not worth squeeze
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Hello Patricia, I am sorry that you felt squeezed on the 24 passenger bus. It has individual seating with 2 seats on each side of the isle. There is an option for a Private tour if you want more room , Robert

Great trip. very interesting and beautiful views. The tour guide Frank was exceptional. He provided excellent information and gave us plenty of time to enjoy the sights. I highly recommend Frank. He made the experience very special.
Response from Host, Jun 2025
Thank you Scott, I am glad that you enjoyed your tour, Robert

What a Shame. Bob, from Blackwood Tours (our tour guide) was wonderful and deserves 5 Stars....however, since the tour bus was ungodly hot, with malfunctioning Air Conditioning - we can only give this tour 4 stars.
We hit all the spots in Sydney that we wanted to hit. The mini-ferry was cool, the Cabot Trail reminded me on the Pacific Coast highway...but over here - so An Atlantic Coast Highway. Beware though, depending on the weather, the leaves might not change fast enough if autumn is delayed. That is, if you are coming to Canada for Fall Coloring - you should maybe wait until October. The week we were here (Sept 16 to Sept 20) was high 80's to high 90's- Fahrenheit. More like a Caribbean cruise, than what we thought a Canada cruise would be.

Thank you Elenor

What an awesome tour! Beautiful scenery along the coast with great views of the ocean, beaches and mountains. Bob, our guide was knowledgeable, informative and very accommodating. The route and stops were given thought to avoid crowds. Our tour was just 2 couples and a comfortable van. This was the best guided tour on our vacation thanks to Bob and Blackwood.
Response from Host, Sep 2024
Thank you Tim, I am glad you enjoyed your tour with Bob

Everything is based on one’s anecdotal experiences and preferences in a non-pretentious manner(can’t really satisfy the arrogant, self absorbed, selfish amongst us) but the experience was lacking in regard to scenery with a lot of driving with limited stops. The ferry crossing was nice but brief. Frank is a nice guy sharing his knowledge of the area as a native. Expensive for a underwhelming experience( it was much less than booking via the cruise).
Response from Host, Jul 2024
You said a lot there in brackets Gregg. Frank is a wonderful guide as far as I'm concerned ! Very rarely does he get a less than 5 star review.

Beautiful scenic Cabot Trail and Keltic Lodge. Weather turned out great. Enjoyed stop at Clucking Hen. Francie, our guide, did a good job, lots of interesting information, with a local flavor.
Unfortunately, one no-show couple caused a delayed start and we may have missed the glass-blowing shop as a result. Not sure how to avoid that, but something for the tour operator to work on. Otherwise, great day!
Response from Host, Oct 2023
Hi John P, We give our customers 1/2 hour to get to their guide, then a little leeway of about 10 mins. We try not to leave anyone behind after they've booked.
Lynda_S, Aug 2023
It was canceled and nobody had told me
So I got up very early for nothing :-(
So I was not happy about that
Thank you
Response from Host, Aug 2023
Hello Lynda, I am sorry that it was not noted on your booking that you weren't coming by ship. Since the ship cancelled I had no idea that you were walking to the dock, looking for your tour.
Stephanie_D, Jul 2023
Amazing tour - the sights along the Cabot Trail were incredible. Our driver Bob was fantastic, we hit all the spots on our itinerary and he took us to a few extra places (for instance, we stopped a small lobster fishing town). Highly recommend this tour!
Response from Host, Jul 2023
Thank you Stephanie, I am glad that you enjoyed your tour with Bob, I will let him know. Have a wonderful day,Robert
