Your guide will meet you just outside the main cruise terminal exit Look for: A sign that reads “City Heart Tours” or your name. Please disembark early, you will have 30 minutes to meet your tour guide. You can also provide your time preference for tour early morning or in noon just add a note in special requirements If your ship docks earlier or later than expected, we will adjust your tour time accordingly. If you are choosing a hotel or airport pickup, let us know what time you want to start the tour. Furthermore you will be updated on evening before the day of tour.

Great tour with a lot of knowledge of the area. The fortress was great. Workers in costumes playing the roles of characters from back in the day. The light house was gorgeous on a beautiful day.
The tour was wonderful, loved seeing all the docents dressed in period garb. The only problem was our wonderful driver had a thick accent, so it was difficult to understand him. It did not in any way take away from the experience, however, because all of the docents were primarily the purpose we were there.

Arrangements clear. Met at the port as agreed. Small group of 6 in our vehicle. Our guide/driver KV was very good. The tour offered a good mix of history and scenic. Only thing would be if had longer at the Louisbourg Fortress as a lot to see but we were limited by cruise ship times. KV not only knowledgeable of the history of the area but also talked about life as a resident in Cape Breton

We really enjoyed visiting the light house and the fort. The fort was very nice. The displays and presentations really gave us insight into living in the fort during the period of time when it was occupied.

Amand was the perfect tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. Lots of detailed history even though her has only been living there for 3 years from India. He was very accommodating to our groups needs. The fortress was so much larger than expected and provided a fun experience for the day. We would recommend this tour to others.

Aman was a fantastic driver and tour guide. He told us all about the history on the drive over. We stopped at the Louisburg lighthouse along the way which was awesome. He stayed with us at the fort and basically was our own personal tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and knew all about the fort. Highly recommend this tour and ask for Aman.

CITYHEART TOURS
We expected a guided tour but this was more like a taxi ride to the points of interest. Driver was friendly but difficult to understand.

It was a great tour! The Fortress was big and there's lots to see. The lighthouse was beautiful. Driver was ready waiting for us at the port when we disembarked. Two comments, getting a taxi tour at Port would've been 1/3 the price so it depends if you want to chance it by just getting a tour there. (seems the tours were widely available) And another thing, I don't know why the driver pretended to get tickets at the fortress when the tickets were free. No need to pretend... Otherwise, it was an excellent tour albeit expensive. There were 5 of us so we were paying per person vs getting a taxi tour at Port was per vehicle.

This was a small group tour so it was perfect. The driver was great and explained a lot about the area. The fortress was amazing and you can easily spend an entire day there. The tour guide did tell us about highlights to see in the fortress which helped because I would have missed some of the interesting things like musket shooting. Loved that we had time to spend on various stops and could kinds take more or less depending on the needs of the group. Since we were all on the same ship it worked out well. Definitely recommend when in Sydney.

This was the most disappointing Viator tour we’ve ever had. There were 3 couples on the tour. The tour we booked was different from the other 2 couples. Our tour was advertised as having a guided tour at Louisbourg Fortress. We were just dropped off to self explore. When I asked the driver about it, he asked a colleague who told him they changed the description of the itinerary a couple weeks earlier. We should have been notified of the change. The other couples had a stop at a railway museum on their itinerary. We stopped but it was closed. The vehicle was a standard minivan so 3 adults had to sit on the back bench. The only reason I gave 2 stars was because our driver tried very hard to make the tour as pleasant as he could.
Loved seeing the lighthouse and fortress. Much cheaper than the cruise line and a better, smaller-group experience. Learned a lot as we toured the city beforehand and as we traveled to Louisbourg. Car was comfortable. We had enough time at each spot. (only thing I would recommend is a bit more communication ahead of time about start time.)

Beautiful scenery with fall colors. The Fortress was quite interesting, well restored and the staff was informative.
Thorough trip back in time to Expansive Fortress! Walking & interacting with costumed interpreters for a look at Ft Louisbourg throughout history. Fa exceeded our expectations!
Our guide, Manny was knowledgeable and very friendly . We enjoyed our time at the fort and the reenactment people were great. The musket fire demonstration with explanation of a French soldier's life was excellent. This was an great tour that we would recommend to anyone.
Fortress & Lighthouse were very neat to see, however we were lost at Fortress. It was supposed to be a GUIDED tour. Our driver, Sunny barely showed us anything, and did NOT meet expectations to show us what was promised via the tour description. Worst tour I have ever booked. Other than the first 10 minutes after we left the port, he did not speak unless spoken to, and then returned us to the port 45 minutes early- he said he’d be back to get us at 12:30 from the Fortress after leaving us & we didn’t even get to go through the main building! Then, I thought he was taking us to see the rest of what was listed on our itinerary but he simply dropped us back off at the port. I could have hired a cab driver & saved myself a lot of money!!! Utterly disappointed!!!!
