Itinerary
Meet your guide near the Õstermalms Saluhall, the oldest food market in Stockholm, where many businesses have been passed down through multiple family generations. Admire the intricate carvings on the interior wooden walls and eaves, which have been well-preserved for centuries.
Munch on some modern Swedish meatballs, slightly changed and much healthier than their traditional version, but just as tasty. Then continue your tour with a stroll through Stureplan, an area that most tourists skip. At Kungsgatan, check out K25, an urban food court packed with Stockholm's hip young residents. Try some of the local seafood and sip a glass of white wine while you do some interesting people-watching.
Take the chill off with a visit to Chokoladfabriken for their legendary hot chocolate, made with 65% cocoa and cardamom. Then pause at Hõtorgshallen to peruse the market stalls filled with Swedish delicacies and fresh produce. At the P&B Delikatesser, taste a dizzying array of homemade products like truffles, traditional Swedish licorice and cloudberry jam.
Hit up Husmans Deli for some artisan cheese, then visit Fagel & Vilt for cured meats like smoked reindeer and elk salami. Wash it down with some Norrlands Guld beer and chase it with some fresh fruit from Lisbeth Janson Frukt & Grunt.

Started our FOOD journey at an amazing upmarket Food Hall with 3 very different tastings then we ventured through to mid city where we stopped for 2 more tastings before our final destination in the old city. Matt our guide expertly presented each tasting with a range of interesting information ranging from locality, history and ingredients Thoroughly enjoyable way to spend an afternoon in Stockholm THANKYOU

This was a very informative tour with well thought out tastes. The guide was able to accommodate everyone's dietary restrictions and share local/traditional facts with us. It was more than a food tour, we learned about Swedish government, way of life, architecture, and history.

This tour had a lot more walking and less food than I am used to, but a healthier vacay never hurt anyone. 😂 Not saying that’s a bad thing; I’ve just been on tours with more tastings, or more of the more substantial food, is all.
We went to two food halls. We had three cheeses and crackers with marmalade, a trio of game meats (bear, reindeer, and moose?), a small Swedish meatballs, a fish/seafood medley (loved the soup), too much licorice (for me), and fika (coffee and a cinnamon roll). We had beer at one stop and wine at another.
Cotton, our host, was fantastic and incredibly knowledgeable about history and culture. Overall this was very enjoyable and I’d definitely recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour with Theresa. It started out with small bite tasting and explanations followed by traditional holiday foods. There was lots of walking and we were not overly full which has happened in other food tours. It was very well curated! We’d recommend it and Theresa!

There was a little confusion at the beginning of the tour since the directions given did not match what the guide had and she did not have an accurate list of guests. However, once that all got sorted out, the tour was lovely. The tour started in a food hall and we sampled a number of foods and heard history of the food hall and information about the foods. We continued getting interesting history as we walked from stop to stop. Our guide was very nice and knowledgeable and did a good job herding the cats from place to place. The only food I would not recommend was a particularly potent salty licorice. We were warned and I’m glad I tried it but it is not for the faint of heart. The trip ended with a nice traditional fika. Overall, a very nice tour. It was a great introduction to some of the food, history and local color in Stockholm.

The meeting point is not as described and this caused a delay to the start of the tour. The tour was a lot less than 4 hours long too. Otherwise a lot of different foods tried and interesting commentary from the tour guide.

I’m very sorry about this. This was our Stockholm tour, which is operated day-to-day by a local franchise partner, but of course it is still under the FoodTours name and the meeting point information should be clear and correct.
I’m sorry this caused a delay and that the tour was shorter than expected. I’m glad you still experienced different foods and interesting commentary from the guide, but the practical start of the tour clearly should have been handled better.

Theresa was very pleasant. Excellent mixture of food; however there is a considerable amount of walking between sites. Also, there wasn’t enough discussion of the sites along the way.

Cotton was an amazing guide and the range of Swedish foods that we tried was impressive, a very big variety. I won't say what we had but some recipes dated back to the 1600's. I suggest you don't have breakfast because there is a lot of food and we were very full by the end. I would highly recommend this tour.

Cotton was a fabulous guide. I was the only one that showed and he didn’t cancel on me (it’s happened before). I got to try so many different foods - most I had never had before. Knowledgeable local guide with deep respect for the vendors, and is as his guests. Fascinating facts, lovely food. A wide selection of foods showcasing Swedish fare. We even went back to a couple of the places he took us. He was great company and had great patience answering the 101 questions I had, from tax and healthcare policy in Sweden to broader questions of philosophy. The thinking persons guide.
