Remember that the weather conditions are out of our control, and there is no ice guarantee. If the ice conditions are not safe a winter hike will most likely be carried out instead, however last winter season we haven't had one single excursion on which we weren't able to skate :)
Dress for winter activity. Hat/beenie, gloves, 1 pair of warm socks are a must have! Think layers of clothes instead of very thick and warm ones. Downhill skiing pants and jackets are ok, thick running tights with wool long johns underneath. Avoid anything made of cotton (tee shirt and jeans).
Please email us your EU shoe sizes (37 -> 46) so we can prepare the equipment beforehand.

The tour guide was amazing, however the activity is not what they advertise. It is sold as a free ice skating trip but what they don’t tell you is that if the weather is not perfect they’ll just take you to a FREE ENTRY natural ice rink 15 minutes outside of Stockholm. I could have just payed 20 euros to rent a pair of skates and go around in circles for 6 hours by myself.

Safety always comes first, so if natural ice isn’t safe we use prepared rinks as an alternative. We’ll review how we present this in the description so it’s clearer for future guests. Magnifique experience. Attention, cette randonnee n est pas destinee a des debutants et une condition physique raisonnable est plus que recommandee. Experience sportive plus qu une experience decouverte. Tres impressionant que de se retrouver en train de patiner loin des rivages. Je recommande pour les personnes a l aise avec des patins ce qui n etait pas vraiment le cas pour moi. Les patins sont differents des patins de patinoire et s attachent comme des skis de fonds. Le sac a dos de securite est lourd et vous devez le supporter duranr toute la randonnee. Guide Francophone tres symphatique. Merci pour cette experience unique.
