This bus/boat experience...

This bus/boat experience was very frustrating and disappointing. There are no hours posted on the app, so you have no way of knowing when the boats are coming. One day they completely re-routed the buses and the people working there gave us very poor correct information.

There were three young men from three different African countries who were the greeters that really helped to get me off to a good. I had a great time on the boat and on the bus getting to all the different sites

The driver in Stockholm would not allow us to board the bus with our ticket information on our cell phone. He said "This is just a picture of your ticket. I must see your ticket." I told him this was what we were sent. He said again "I need ticket." I said "Where do we get it?" He said "I don't know but you can't get on. So we missed our ride. We tried to get on in Stockholm at the stop by the Hard Rock Cafe. We should get a refund from Viator. We had no such problem in Barcelona or London.

Very convenient to get on right outside the cruise terminal. Great way to spend the short amount of time we had in Stockholm.

The bus itself was clean and the driver was very capable and friendly. We were surprised and disappointed however that the web site description is inaccurate in that there were no buses at the cruise ship port as described. We had to take the cruise ship shuttle into town and then go to the pickup point to catch the bus. The boat ride was good but nothing special. The narration was spotty and hard to hear even with the volume all the way up.

HOHO bus and boat tours were great in Stockholm. The end of the day however left a sour taste. The company rep in Stockholm arbitrarily moved people to the front of the line for loading, we all paid the same fare, and the driver got lost in Nynashamn upon return. If you only take one, take the boat, better perspective and a slower pace.

The people in red who are supposed to be running things sent us from stop to stop and bus to bus to finally take us on a ride that did not match the advertised route and had very little audio information. It was a disaster.

Big waste of time and money

This was a terrible experience. We got on the bus at 10am. There was an event going in town. The route was changed without notice. Only way I found out it had been changed was because another passenger on the bus had found out. They took us through a bunch of residential areas and around the city hall twice, and then at a stop they told us we all had to get off and they were going out of service. This was at 11 o’clock in the morning. We walked almost 5 miles to get to where the boat ride was supposed to be and the boat ride had closed down until 3:30 in the afternoon. We had to be back at our boat by four. The buses were not going to run again until 4 o’clock. We had to take a taxi back to the port which was 601 Swedish Krona. It was a big waste of money. If they were making changes to the itinerary, they should have notified us. I wish I could get a refund.

Due to the kings Anniversary could not do the canal boat trip. When I got to the drop point for the canal boat ride it was closed! Also the drop off point for the Vasa Museum was over 3/4 mile away.

The buses audio on two buses did not work well, and then just played repetitive music over and over and over and over at one stop we waited almost 45 minutes for the bus to come The boat hop on hop off on the other hand was very good!!!

Having done a Red Sightseeing hop on hop off in Copenhagen a few days earlier, this just wasn't quite up to the level of the Copenhagen experience.

They were happy to sell us tickets when they knew well in advance that no buses would be running due to the marathon. Still waiting for a refund.

This was the worst tour....

This was the worst tour. They booked us for a day when buses were not running. Then the phone number they gave us to arrange refund did not answer after three tries. Once we found someone to authorize us to use the ticket on a different day. The audio portion was staticky, and you could barely hear. Then they made us get off the bus and wait for another bus because the driver had been driving too long. The second bus was very crowded and not everyone from our bus got on. Would it not have been better for the tourists who paid if they changed the driver?

Worse experience ever. Probably due to the marathon in Stockholm that day but all the buses were canceled because of it. Then the boats were unorganized and it was over 1.5 hour wait. So we had to blow it off. Viator never contacted us to let the bus part of the hop on hop off bus was canceled and they still charged us for it even though the buses were not available. I have requested a full refund as we couldn’t use it since they were canceled.

We really enjoyed riding around the city and not getting off….just did a round trip and enjoyed the sites. I do with the headphones have more history and facts about the city. There was some random music that repeated the same song over and over. I like to hear information about the country/city. Otherwise it was fun. We loved the boat hop on hop off even better. Great site seeing !

HOHO isn’t for everyone. Must walk alot or stay on

The boat ride was scenically beautiful. The bus was not so great. The audio info didn’t work, we heard mostly music, the drivers didn’t help with questions. Didn’t know how to turn on AC. Very hard to find bus stations, not marked clearly

Perfect for our 2 day cruise stop in Stockholm. Several HOHO buses were right outside our cruise ship at 8:30am each morning. The bus route took us to or near most of key tourist areas. The boat route takes about 45 minutes, and one stop was right next to our cruise ship. Wifi worked great on both bus and boats, except for one bus that was just not connecting to the internet. The Viator mobile ticket worked perfectly.

Worst hop on hop off experience ever

Probably the worst hop-on hop-off experience we’ve had. Drivers were rude, staff was pushy. Headphone commentary did not work for all passengers on initial bus, music only for entire 45 minutes; when driver was told he argued nothing wrong. Put on one bus initially then after 15 minutes everyone told to get off and move to another bus; no reason given. Went to hop-on a bus on route; told bus ‘broken’ and going out of service; next bus totally full so all people waiting at stop left stranded. Tickets difficult to access, drivers u sure which tickets valid… it just goes on. Would NOT recommend this redline bus hop on hop off in Stockholm.

Pick up is at the cruise terminal. Plenty of stops in all the right places. Plenty of capacity on the bus and able to pick up at the stops. Commentary good and interesting.

The bus did not get to our area until 1 hour after start time. The first bus drove right passed us. We were dropped off by the ABBA museum and pretty much walked the rest of the day as we never could find a bus or the boat. Not work the money. In fact we have requested a refund because of the number of times the bus passed us by as well as it ends at 5 without warning

That was awesome. Clear instructions about the tour by tour guide. The guide explained about the duration, route of the tour. The guide also informed about how and where to take the metro at the end of the tour.
