This tour has lots of walking but you get to see a lot more of the city. Our guide was excellent - friendly and knowledgeable. We went to 3 distinct areas of the city and made 6 stops to try different foods. The portions were generous and we enjoyed all of the stops.

Culinary experiences paired with an entertaining introduction to Stockholm’s history and culture — all very professionally set in scene by our guide Cotton. He made sure that even I as a vegetarian got very well served. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ food tour!

No Tour Guide - No Food Tour

Cora_O, Aug 2026
Booked this for 4pm- tour guide never turned up. No notification from viator. Five others waited at the designated location and none of us informed of a cancellation. Very frustrating as we organised our day around this. On the basis of reliability and communication it’s a 0/5 for this tour

We tasted our way around Stockholm and enjoyed every minute!

Busy tour at too fast a pace

Kenneth_C, Jul 2026
We were a combined group of 18, most about 70yo. The rather dapper Cotton guided us, no heeding our multiple requests to moderate the walking pace (claiming he had a schedule. ) All the seven stops (3 each in 2 foodhalls) provided interesting and tasty examples of Swedish cuisine. While significant, the forced march across the bridge to Old Town for the final sampling was arduous.

Great tour and interesting foods

Erin_B, Jul 2026
We really enjoyed this food tour, and experienced many foods that we would have not otherwise had on our trip. Our guide, Cotton, was very knowledgeable and personable, and did a wonderful job guiding us. You will spend quite a bit of time in the food halls, and compared to other food tours I have taken I think there was less walking overall. I will say the size of the tour group was much too large. There were 17 of us on the tour, which means there is a lot less time to connect with your tour guide and get more stories and recommendations for the city. We usually do these types of tours early in our trip, so we can get a feel for the city and new ideas for how to spend the rest of our time there, which was not possible to do with such a large and varied group.

Swedish Food Culture 101

Al_B, Jul 2026
Fantastic way to become acquainted with Swedish food culture -- the foods, the customs, etc. Enjoy cheeses, meats (bear, moose, reindeer), herring, meatballs, licorice, pastry, coffee, and more). Plenty to replace a full meal.

I wanted it to be good

Sherry_S, Jul 2026
Cotton, knows so much about the food and cultural. He provides a great deal of information. But his leg stride is huge and trying to keep up was hard. Half the group was in the back and yes we werr walking a good pace. But c Cotton would jump into traffic and cross the street the light which is mot forgiving would suddenly change and we were stuck. It would be helpful to stop and wait for all the group before you jumped the signal. You had to wait on the other side anyway. Plus our group was too large it was over sold so it was hard to here in tbe food hall. Cotton did mot seem to notice we were all leaning in just to hear him. We have done 24 food tours we walk 5 to 6 miles a day we are not slow or hard of hearing but man be more attentive to the group.

Stockholm Walking Food Tour

Marcia_T, Jul 2026
I loved that a local shared her experiences growing up there. Along with a good tour I appreciate when the tour guide gives a bit of history. On this tour I got both and immensely enjoyed the experience. I would highly recommend.

Our tour guide was a wealth of knowledge! He kept everyone engaged and was fun and professional. I booked this not knowing what it would be like months ago I am from America and find it to be perfect tour

Great experience

Patrick_G, Jun 2026
Cotton was a great guide and very good communicator! One of my favorite food tours so far! Two food halls are the main things, no big meals but some tasting and lots of info.

Our tour guide, Matt was excellent! No spoilers but he treated us to a wide range of what Sweden has to offer. It was a lovely mix of delicious food and sightseeing.

Amazing Experience

Elizabeth_M, Jun 2026
We had an incredible experience with our tour guide Matt. He was very patient and took his time explaining the culture, the city, the food and history of Stockholm. This was my second time taking this tour and it was absolutely incredible!

Marla_A, Jun 2026
Cotton was a great tour guide. I felt the tour was well paced and informative. The variety of foods was great.

Great tour, but bad communication about logistics, so be careful booking

Sarah_S, May 2026
Please note that the 2 stars are only for Viator's management of this experience, not the experience itself. The experience itself was great. We loved our food tour, learned a lot, and got to eat some great food. The guide was excellent. However, Viator seems to have listed it thru a local tour company, and the 2 companies did not communicate. On the morning of the tour we received multiple reminders from Viator of the time and location. We arrived at the tour location and found that no one was there. I called the listed number in Viator's email and the local tour company told me that the tour had been rescheduled for 6 hours later. They said they had reached out to the attendees to notify them, but we never heard from them. We did end up attending the delayed tour, but we had wasted an entire morning of our vacation going to and from the tour location just to have it postponed.

Refund when tour guide cancels?

al_c, May 2026
Tour lead contacted me to cancel, as I booked <24hours out Viator seems not wishing to refund, though I went to meeting point, no one there. Cancelled by organizer, not me.

Excellent!

Tania_M, May 2026
Excellent!! Theresa was very knowledgeable and lovely to talk with. There was a wonderful variety of delicious high quality food that represented traditional Swedish cuisine. We have been on many food tours and this was one of the best!! You will be stuffed at the end!!!

A most excellent food adventure!

Tim_G, May 2026
Our guide, Cotton, was fabulous. On time, polite, knowledgeable, and courteous. He clearly explained Swedish food and cuisine, as well as some of local food traditions and customs. The tour covered all the major unique Swedish foods. Very enjoyable afternoon!!

Great time!

Erick_N, Apr 2026
My friends and I decided to check out the local good in Sweden. Our guide, Faizel, was very knowledgeable about not only local good but we also got interesting insight into Sweden as well as the countries history of conservation, architecture and governance. We especially liked the stop at Kajsas Fisk, so much so that we returned another day. Similarly, our final stop for fika at Fika & Wine in Gamla Stan added another place to re-visit. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone interested in food but also Stockholm in general!

Ok

Jennifer_K, Apr 2026
The tour was ok. The food was ok. The guide was ok. Not as good as others I have been on. The walk was faster passed

At first I thought I lost...

Alana_G, Feb 2026
At first I thought I lost something in translation, but nope. Our tour guide's name was Cotton. He was so personable and knowledgeable about the history of Stockholm and the food we ate. Although I do not eat seafood, I had a great time walking around and learning about the traditional food in Sweden. I was able to enjoy the meatballs and cinnamon bun.

Unique Tastes of Stockholm

Chris_S, Jan 2026
We took very unique food tasting tour in Stockholm over the Christmas holiday. I tried foods that I never would have eaten on my own. Bear, moose, reindeer?! I actually like the bear! The tour was at a relaxed pace, but we covered several tasting stops. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend this tour.

Great bites and a fun time!

Sweden Food Tour

Mimi_O, Nov 2025
A great tour. Learned a lot about Swedish food, culture and history. Cotton was a wonderful host of the city.

You get to taste the food...

Chris_W, Oct 2025
You get to taste the food the locals eat. We were able to taste many things and perhaps more licorice than we bargained for. We learned the history of many of the dishes we ate. The tour lasted 4 hours and we walked at least 3 miles.

Ok tour

Caroline_P, Oct 2025
The first stop was the most interesting. The fish market underground was ok, shame there wasn’t an outdoor place. Guide spent most of his time on his phone walking between locations, walking well ahead of the group he even walked into a post while in his phone! He was informative but he was distant, it felt like he didn’t want to be there even though he said he loved chatting to guests … he didn’t. I felt there could have been some more interesting spots to stop in this amazing city for the cost of the tour.

Quiva (Spelling?) was so...

Shereef_S, Oct 2025
Quiva (Spelling?) was so great! Always smiling and very patient with everyone in our group. The food was good and she did such a good job of describing what we were enjoying, how it was made, why it's special, and a little history along the way.

Gourmet fun
