The tour and beach were wonderful! Such a beautiful island. Magens Bay beach is busy but a great beach for swimming with sea turtles. Mountain top has a great view but was very busy. Transportation was in a typical St Thomas taxi which made the tour guide difficult to hear. Hamblet was a punctual and helpful guide.

The tour was easy to find after getting off ship. It was basically a ride to the beach and few places to take some nice pics. You could not hear what the driver was saying about the area while riding in the open air bus because the intercom on bus was quite faint. We stopped at mountain top and that was ok. A store for souvenirs, you can get a daiquiri, and take pic overlooking Magen’s Bay.

This would have been a great experience if we had had a good driver. Our driver, Robert, was arrogant and rude. First, he did not want to pick us up at the time that was previously established by the tour operator. On our way to the cruise ship dock to pick up the other passengers on our tour, he did not point out a single highlight of the island, such as the castles, 99 Steps or Emancipation Park. He instead proceeded to give us a lecture on the importance of communication, of all things. When we arrived at Mountain Top, we were rushed through it with less than 30 minutes to spend there. I had to throw half of my world famous banana daiquiri in the trash because there was no time to finish it before getting back in Robert’s vehicle where a very prominent sign was posted that no food or drink was allowed in the vehicle. Much more time was allotted at Magen’s Bay than in the tour operator’s description, I suspect so that Robert would have time to complete another job. When he arrived to pick us up he proceeded to lecture us that we had better not get any sand in his vehicle. It is an island and we were on the beach, but he did not want sand in the car??? Omg… Lastly, he spent a considerable amount of time during the drive on his phone, loudly talking to an individual regarding repairs and trade in value on another of his vehicles. On the return back to our hotel, he did not speak a single word to either myself or my partner, apparently considering that his job was now done. The island is beautiful and the sights are amazing, if you have the right driver. Robert is not that driver and I would not recommend this tour in the chance that you would be assigned him as the driver.

Hamblet was a great tour operator. Very clear instructions and easy to communicate via WhatsApp. We decided after the beach at Magens Bay to take a taxi back. Aw just WhatsApp him told him the plan and we were on our way.

The views were good, but getting to them was a horrible winding road. The “best”banana daiquiri” in the word shop was just a big store with what everyone else has. Magens beach was beautiful though. We should have stayed in the city itself.

Ver fun trip through Charlotte Amalie, Mountain Top and Magans Bay. Beautiful views, crazy hilly roads. The beach was calm and clear. A little crowded but plenty of room in the water.

First parts of the tour a little rushed and then spent a lot of time at the beach. Wish the guide was more open to how much time we wanted to spend at the stops. Also had a mix up where the wrong drive contacted us about being picked up 30 minutes early and created an issue.

We booked this as a tour, but turned out to be a cab ride to various locations. The cabby was very nice and his cab was extremely clean, but he did not speak much so we didn’t learn much about St Thomas. Magan’s Bay was beautiful and a great place to spend a few hours on the beach.

Easy to locate on the pier from our ship. Took us around and gave us a spiel about the island. We had just over two hours at the beach. It was a perfect half day.

The tour itself was fine and well organized, and the driver was polite. Unfortunately, none of the passengers could clearly understand the explanations during the drive.
Several people complained because the microphone did not work properly. The sound was very low and unclear, especially for those sitting in the back, making it impossible to understand what the driver was explaining.
As a result, we mostly observed the surroundings but missed all the information and context that a guided tour should provide. This was frustrating, as the issue affected the entire group.
I strongly recommend fixing or upgrading the audio system so that everyone can fully enjoy and understand the tour.

Beautiful island and beach. Would be 5 stars but the driver was on island time and we had to race back to the ship. We were 45 minutes later than the time it said we would be back. We have visited and done this tour twice. Same issue both times. Just give yourself extra time

It was a great day, just really hard to hear the guide while in the truck because it is super noisy from all of the outside traffic and the jingles and jangles of the truck itself. It would be amazing if they had the speaker centrally located inside the truck so all participants could hear the guides better. Hamlet our tour guide was wonderful.

Our ship docked a few minutes late. I texted twice and spoke on the phone twice to let our guide know we were on the way. We were exactly 10 minutes late to our meeting spot at the windmill. They left without us and refused to refund our money, saying since other people from our ship were there on time, we should have been as well. We were on the 2nd largest cruise ship in the world. Getting off the ship with 4,000 other people took a few minutes. When I called to ask where they were, and was told they already left without us, I was yelled at that we should have been on time. Yes, I agree, but I did communicate directly a total of 4 times to reassure them we were hurrying as fast as we could. Very unprofessional. Do not recommend doing business with them. Other tour guides in the area attempted to call that business for us but they would not pick up the phone. The other tours guides agreed that since we communicated several times, waiting 10 minutes would have been appropriate. Thank goodness we found another group to join and our day turned out okay.

There were eleven guest taking the tour from your ship. You were the only people who didn't make the tour. We're sorry for any disappointment in missing our tour. Waiting ten minutes may have been appreciated. To respect all guests, we must depart on time, as not to inconvenience other guests who took the time to arrive on time. We appreciate your understanding. FYI, We do give clients a grace period of five minutes. We reached out to you several times to confirm your pick-up details without a response. Our business is a professional organization that respects all our guests. Drivers do not answer phone calls after the tour begins.

We highly recommend this tour to anyone whether with a partner, friends or solo this is a "must see & do." I was looking for tours that would allow me to experience the "culture, people, & history" that is unique ONLY to the beautiful US Virgin Islands specifically St. Thomas.

My correspondence with Angela & Josie whom was very accommodating, friendly, detail oriented, quick to respond, provided updates & constant communication with me leading up to the tour. Our driver HAMBLET was AMAZING! He was knowledgeable, friendly & accommodating as well. For example: Our hotel was not offered as a pickup option for our tour, however Hamblet & the team made it convenient for us and picked us up from our hotel anyway. We scheduled this tour during our cruise ship's St. Thomas stop. It did not disappoint. Our tour guide, Hamln, was very good. He taught us about the island as he drove (excellent driver... we felt very safe, even as we drove the hills and sharp curves along the way). The first part of the tour stopped at a couple of sites that were great for taking photos, before heading to the Mountain Top for our Banana Daiquiris. At Mountain Top, we got some excellent photos, especially looking down on Magens Bay Beach. The place where the daiquiris were made was also a souvenir shop. It was quite large and a good place if you wanted to bring home something or get gifts for others. Some souvenir stores have very inflated prices, but I thought there were enough options that you could find something in every price range and not feel like you were suckered into paying too much for whatever you chose. Then, it was down the mountain to Magens Bay Beach for the afternoon. The beach was great. We don't like to spend too much time in the direct sun, so we rented 2 chaise lounges and an umbrella (I think it was $40 total) and that was a good choice for us. The only issue we had with the tour was confusion about where and when we needed to meet (our tour was scheduled for 1:30pm, but we were expected to meet Hamlin at 12:15pm - we didn't know about that. Fortunately, he CALLED us and we rushed off the ship so we didn't hold up the group. That was the only hiccup of our tour and better communication from Viator could have prevented it. Other than that, I'd recommend the tour. We had a very good afternoon.

Nice tour, great sites. Unfortunately, we were very concerned. We’re gonna miss our ship, Viator says this is a four hour tour, but when we finally left the beach an hour before our cruise ship was going to leave, the driver said we “should be there in time.” We made it in time, but when they say it’s a four hour tour, it really should not be a 4.5 hour tour, making you worried about missing your ship.

The driver, Hamblet, is exceptionally knowledgeable about the island and its rich history. The views were incredible, the time to do things like shop and swim was perfect. The roads are pretty rough and can make things a little difficult to hear the driver's commentary due to the noise of the vehicle on the road. But that is minimal compared to the rest of the experience.
